Pilots of Koph Squadron and distinguished guests:
No, I didn't accidentally send the mail to the wrong mailing list. I
felt this was the only appropriate forum in which to say the things
that need to be said at this point, and they are things that the
whole of Wing VI needs to hear. So, here goes:
I was selected to be Wing Commander of Wing I.
First off, most of you know, but I'd like to reiterate that I have
been in Wing VI for very nearly my entire career in the EH. I don't
have words to describe how difficult it is going to be to leave this
wing. You people are the heart and soul of what I consider to be the
Emperor's Hammer, and it's almost as if I'm going to have to
completely rediscover the Emperor's Hammer as a part of this change.
Now, in all honesty I have been looking for a WC job for quite some
time now. I thought for sure when Joe stepped down that I would be the
one to replace him. I applied for Wing V when COL Proton made SovCOM
and I applied for Wing I when RA Proton informed me that it would be
opening up. This was because I can feel it is time for a change. A
year is a very long time to be a CMDR, even in a squadron as
spectacular as Koph.
Even so, the realization has just begun to hit me that I am leaving
you guys, and it's like leaving home for the first time. You can bet
that I'll keep hanging around in #WingVI for quite some time to come,
and I'll stay on the mailing lists because I don't think I could ever
bear to leave completely. I look forward to meeting the folks in Wing
I, and the ones I've met so far have been great, but it will never be
VI.
I would like to recommend LCM Torey Medrock to be the next Koph CMDR.
She has both the skills and ambition required to command the best
squadron on the ship, as well as a flying record to back them up with.
Good luck, Koph. You know where to find me if you need anything.
And now for a bit of other squadron news...
The Koph Runon started on the 5th, and has been going strong ever
since. I'm not sure exactly how my leaving to Wing I will affect
things, but we can discuss that at a another time :)
All Lieutenants and Sub-Lieutenants in Wing VI are requested in my
(current) office for "volunteer" duty moving my stuff to my new office
in Wing I. Thank you ;)
I would appreciate if the next Koph CMDR could post this report on
tiecorps.org for me, as I no longer have access to do so.
Oh... and sorry about the citations. It appears I'm taking a few of
them with me.
Finally, I would like to award my very last Koph Ace of the Week. I'm
awarding it to myself, because it's likely going to be the last one I
ever get. Congratulations, me :P
