ISD Grey Wolf Report #11 - 07.20.01

Pilot's Lounge


"As clear as crystal Pepsi, sir..."

"Okay, Janson, please come in," Khadgar finally said.
"What was it you wanted, sir?" Wes Janson replied.
"You're hereby given the honorary title of Commodore's Protector... Meaning you... Uh... Protect the Commodore, yeah."
Janson bit his lip, "Um, right sir..."
"All right, your first assignment will be quite simple, lets head over to the briefing room, you'll get your briefing there. Are you clear on that?"
Wes Janson continued, "As clear as crystal Pepsi, sir... I'll be... In the... Briefing Room... Of course..." he said, trying to surpass a snicker.

Later, Janson sat in the Wolf's Head Cantina talking to Colonel Donitz, "Yeah, I think I weaseled my way out of Commodore's Protector duty quite well..." he said, laughing.
Donitz smiled, "All right, anyways, time to head off, my the Tripidium awaits."
Janson stood and saluted Donitz, "Good luck."
Donitz returned the salute, "Thanks... uh... don't look now, here comes the COM!"
Janson muttered a curse and quickly ducked under the table.
Khadgar walked up and sat down, resting his feet on what seemed to be a nicely placed foot rest. "Hey, I'm glad they don't spare any expense for the Commdore, what a great ship."
Janson tried to calm himself, "All right, it'll be fine, now, you'll get used to these feet on your back, Khadgar usually is never around long."
Khadgar suddenly grinned and said, "Tonight, the drinks are on me, I'll be around the whole night, enjoy yourselves!"
A cheer erupted from the patrons at the cantina, from every patron, except Wes Janson.
"Oh goodness no... the whole night?"
Suddenly, CM Gilad Pelleaeon walked in.
"Hey, Gilad, come sit down, Congrats on the promotion!" Khadgar said.
"Thanks sir..." Gilad said, sitting down.
Janson whispered, "Psssttt... Gilad... This is Janson... Tell Khadgar he has to leave... now..."
Gilad pondered a moment, "Khadgar, he has to leave now."
Khadgar looked at Gilad, "Who?"
Janson sighed, "No no, say... You have to leave the bar now."
Gilad repeated, "YOU have to leave the bar now."
Khadgar cocked an eyebrow, "I do? Why?"
Janson said, "Ermmm..."
Gilad repeated, "Ermmm..."
Finally Janson smiled, "Well sir, you have quite a lot of datapads to take care of, remember last week?"
Khadgar muttered, "Ah, I suppose you're right," and went off.

Janson was quite pleased with himself, even though he had a large amount of pain in his back. :P

Cardinal here... Well, what a week, I must say though, in my day-
*Phone starts ringing*

Cardinal: Hello?
Tech Support: It appears you have a problem in Report #10, this is Tech Support phoning to help you fix that problem.
Cardinal: Problem?
Tech Support: Yes, you mocked Tech Support.
Cardinal: What should I do?
Tech Support: All right, open up the report, now go to Edit and hit "Time/Date".
Cardinal: Um, okay, that put the Time and Date up, what's the point of that?
Tech Support: Well, um, okay... Try uh, "Search" and type in "mail".
Cardinal: And...
*5 minutes later*
Tech Support: All right, now, look under your mouse pad.
Cardinal: Um, okay... Nothing under there...
Tech Support: Well then, I can't help you with your report... Good bye!
*Click*
Cardinal: What a strange person!

News

Seems it was a rather quiet week for news, although I suggest reading the BGCOM Report which I forwarded. Note that Comment #3 (dealing with FL experience and LCM require for CMDR) has been repealed.

Birthdays

Seems we've had some Birthdays recently: Raxis' was on the 16th and Kawolski's was on the 17th... Happy Birthday, both of you! Mine is coming up on the 26th. :)

Commodore's Protector

I sent out an E-Mail naming CPT Wes Janson as my COM's Protector. It was a difficult choice, as my E-Mail explains. Congrats, Janson!

As usual, great activity. Some LoC confirmations came in, and I was glad to see some Wing XIII LoCs.
Please read my recent communications regarding Newsletters, new XvT stuff to fly and Transfer procedures.
I'm sorry I was unable to make the Grey Wolf Meeting this week, but unfortunately I had other things I had to do at the time.
Keep up the activity... And I think it's time we started a massive recruiting spree. I'll be trying to get some Cadets from Daedalus to join the ship.
