TARTARUS WEEKLY SQUADRON REPORT
MY FIRST REPORT:)
TARTARUS SQUADRON
WING XIII of ISD GREY WOLF
WEEKLY SQUADRON REPORT
NR.1
by CMDR/CM DarkC
Well guys, this is my first report...hmmm how should i begin? You all know very well who i am so i guess i'll spare u the introduction...lol. Meanwhile
you also know very well that i agreed to be your commander while Tomaas is on vacation, and i am proud that he chosed me to do it,that's why i
will let you know right from the begining that i intend to complete Tom's goals, but i will need all your help on this. And i know i can count on you
guys...as always,right?
So let's cut this talking and get down to bussiness! This time you are allowed to get yourself a beer ,but only on one condition....read this report
carefully and take it serious!:))
RECRUITMENT
"As u all know, Tom said before he left that he wants to find 11 pilots in the squadron when he comesback.Well i'm not sure that we'll be able to
do that, but we must surelly try. What we know so far is that Brian's cousin will finish his trainningand join us soon (make sure of this Brian!). As
for the other two...we'll have to look for them, but keep in mind that we only want top pilots:)"...that was what i first intended to say to you,but
unfortunatelly things have changed:(
Brian emailed me the other day to let me know that he decided to leave the squadron for a flight leader position in the new opened Odin
squadron. Well..what am i supposed to say? That i'm angry and dissapointed? Maybe i don't even have the right to . All i want to say is that a few
month ago while Maj Azazel was still CMDR of Phoenix, and Tartarus was in a desperate situation, without a CMDR and only with a few
pilots,me and Les were proposed to join Phoenix, but despite the situation we were in, none of us left Tartarus. And we never regreted the
decision we made! I'm proud now to see that Tartarus started to prove itself and i'm sure that we'll manage to make it an outstanding squadron
very soon. I think that this is the best reward anyone can get for his work!
Well, of course Brian is free to make his own decisions and all we can do is wish him good luck if he really wants to get through with this. And
thank you Brian for everything you've done for this squadron. Oh...and don't forget us,we're still your friends:)
These being said, i think there's no need for me to remind you that recruitment becomes again one of the important issues.
NEWS
1. CMDR Tomaas Banys left on vacation for two months, so you will have to deal with your new commander (me) till he's back..lol
2. LT Arcadius Calidus, our dear Vulcan, and LCM Leslaw are also on leave,so we'll have to work a bit harder to get those citations, there only 5
ofus here:)
3. RA Khadgar is alsoon leave till the 12th of july. I hope you all enjoy your vacation:)
4. Due to my promotion as CMDR , the flight leader position for flight II is available. i could have chosen a flight leader myself, but i don't want to
be unfair to anyone and decide on the premises that some are present and some are on vacation...so i'm expecting aplications from all of you
interested to ocupy this position, then i'll take a decision:) But please send those as quick as possible.
FICTION
As you could notice,we had alot of fiction lately, and a very good one i might add...so i would like you to continue writting, every time you get
tired of flying...lol
MEDALS
I was pleased to see the awards everyone of you got for the last month activity..lol..and i'm sure you were too, so all i can say for now is that if
you'll keep up this goodwork you'll get to see many more of those. I make this a promisse:))
So here they are:
6 PC's awarded to LT Jatz Crakker,COL Woobee,LCM MadDog, LT Vulcan,CM DarkC and LT Brian.
1 ISM awarded to LCM Leslaw
1 CoB awarded to LT Jatz Crakker
PROMOTIONS
Lol...maybe i shouldn't say this, but LT DarkC was promoted to CMDR/CM DarkC. Anyone has any idea who this might be?....lol.
I'm still waitting for aplications for the flight leader of flight II position ,but not for much longer...come on folks...isn't anyone really interested in this
position?...I heared there are people who would leave squadron to get that:(
MP FLYING
We MUST increase our multiplayer activity! You saw what happened with the Retribution competition. We could have had our squadron name
mentioned too if we would have tryied harder.Anyway, i'm pleased with Brian's performance, he got two LoC's last week.....aren't you a bit
jealous guys? Where is your pride?

COMPETITIONS
Uniform competition
Simple and sweet,i need an uniform guys:)). If it'll be nice and confortable, the author will get an ISM. If not....well,there is always another try, isn't
it?In general,he'd like it to be fully official and to bear apropriate markings,no crapy-looks.
Graphics and fiction competition
Similar one. We really need some material for the webpage so we could outshine our mates from other squadrons. ISM for most creative
people. The same applies to the fiction writters. If it's good enough,ISM is yours. Our home page is improving everyday, but we can make it
better....come on guys,use your imagination!!:))
PSI Tournament [ACCEPTED]
All ten squadrons are divided into three pools, each with four squadrons in a pool. A short (preferably 4-mission battle) will be assigned for the first round of competition.
Each pool will fly the same battle, and after a 10-day period, the winners will be announced. The top squadron in each pool will automatically advance to the next round, as
well as the overall top two scoring squadrons who did not finish first in their pool, leaving five total squadrons the survivors. In the next round, a Free-TIE will be played, with
each squadron being given a week to fly it. The three squadrons with the highest score in that round will advance to the championship round, where a longer (probably six
mission-long) battle will be issued, with ten days to fly it. The top-scoring squadron from the final round is then proclaimed the winner, with appropriate bragging rights
issued. Additionally, the aggregate top-scoring pilot from each of the final three squadrons will receive an Iron Star - Silver Wings.
Scoring will be measured by a highest total laserless scoring method. Though averages are a popular method in multiple squadron comps, Ford feels that a simple highest
total method encourages participation, so that members of each squadron who aren't quite as good as their comrades don't worry about pulling the squadron's average
down, and are free to participate and chip in as their skills allow.
You'll also note that each squadron invited is of fairly small size - 6 to 8 pilots per squadron, usually. The reasons for this are two-fold: first, so that not doing the
competition by averages wouldn't have a very great effect upon some of the smaller squadrons, and secondly, to give some of the smaller units a chance to shine. In most
fleet-wide competitions, it's the 10 + member squadrons who get the glory, while smaller units are left in the dust. Not in this competition, however.
Additionally, as to allay any fears that Ford running the competition will give Psi Squadron an advantage, CA:FO Havoc will assist with the mission selection and
judging.
OUR MISSION WAS TC-TIE#121. Some of you have flown it, some haven't. We will probably get the results soon.
Here are the scores I have right now:
CM DarkC : 62584
LT Brian: 76309
CPT Tomaas: 103841
COL Woobee: 203150
LT Jatz Crakker : 277958
RECORD OF THE WEEK
This week it's not going to be a record as you all expect...it's going to be a band:)
Here they are...from Los Angeles California.....THE DOORS!!!!
Thirty years ago, on the 3rd of july 1971, the police found in a hotel roomin Paris the body of a 28 years old man...Jim Morrison, the vocalist fromthe well known
band 'THE DOORS".
Noone knows for sure if he died from an overdose as officialy known, or if he was killed. All we know is that this ended the career of the most controversedband of
the moment and the most expressive militants for freedom and fighers againstthe evil in the world, especialy the war in Vietnam. that day died the last symbol of the
hippy generation.
I don't know how many of you listened to them, some of you weren't even borned, but believe me you shouldgive it a try....you won't regret it!
Some of the best known songs are "Break on through", "L.A.Woman", " The end", "Light my fire"...and many many more.

Tartarus 1-1: CM DarkC (that's me...lol..for those who aren't aware of that) :This was a very busy week for me i have to admit, but also very
rewarding...lol. I completed battlesTC-TIE # 11,36,61,175 &162. I tried to help Woobee with the home page,i made a few things i hope u'll find
interesting..hehe...you can acces them from commander's office on the page. I hope i don't have to remind you the
adress...www.powerup.com.au/~rbmcd/Tartarus....you can find it on the squadron'spage. And i also tried to do my best to keep this squadron in
shape...lol...which i' hope i succeded:)
Tartarus 1-2 : CPT Tomaas Banys: Is on leave for about two months. I sure hope you're having fun Tom:))) and ...come back sooner!...lol...we
need you!
Just jokking, try and have fun...everyone deserves a vacation:))
Tartarus 1-3 : LT Brian:Completed Free XvT # 1,5 & 11 and DB-XvT #2. He also flew Free XvT #2,IW-XvT # 17 and TC-XvT # 11 which
unfortunatelly were rejected by the database:( Also i think there are some problems with the other files too Brian,as i told you, so no matter what
you decide to do from now on...try and fixthat problem.Otherwise you might have some unpleasant surprises, even though it's not your fault.
Believe me,it happened to me too. He also got 2 LoC's.
Tartarus 2-2 : LTArcadius Calidus : He completed Free-XvT 1,2,3,4,&5. file for FXvT #4 was rejected:(. And he's on leave for the next two

squadron in the PSI competition, flying battle TC-Tie 121. Well i'll call this "woonded in fight" ...hehe...I hope you will be able to fix this as soon as
you get payed next week Joe...i'm only sorry we can't do anything to help:(
Tartarus 3-1 : LCMLeslaw : First of all i think i owe some apologies to Les...i was about to makethe biggest mistake of my life, i'm sorry:( i'm
sure he'll know what i'mtalking about:). Well, as for his activity...nothing this week because he'salso on leave till the end of the month, so i was
wrong to jump into conclusions. Great vacation to you too Les, we expect you back soon:)
Tartarus 3-2 : COLWoobee: Great week Woob:)). He completed battlesTC-TIE # 121,38 &165 and did a great job with our home page. Still

bring Tartarus in the position it is today. Of course it can be better, but never forget that it is always easier to get on top then stay there! I know i
problably sounded hard on you guys a few times this week..and i'm aware i made mistakes for which i apologies, but i want you to trust in me
and help me place this squadron where it belongs. One thing i can promisse you is that i will never let you down nor this great squadron no matter
