Significant Events of Childhood and Adolescence: Arvel's father taught him everything. The most important of which was how to fly, and young Arvel spent much of his time at home, flying various small vehicles with his friends around his neighborhood. His father also taught him in the use of small arms, and Arvel is very accurate with small weapons.
Significant Events of Adulthood: While visiting relatives on Coruscant, the young adult Arvel witnessed an Imperial military parade. He watched in awe and amazement as thousands of stormtroopers marched through the streets in long, straight lines, and saw hundreds of TIE starfighters flying overhead in perfect formation. He knew he had to be a part of it.
Later that night, when his family was asleep, Arvel wrote a note to his parents stating that joining the Empire was something he had to do, and that he couldn't really expect them to understand. He left the note in his uncle's home and went to the nearest recruiting station, where he talked to an Imperial officer. The next day, Arvel was transfered to an Imperial Naval installation, where he would train to be a gunner onboard an Imperial Naval vessel.
After receiving training for a couple of months, Arvel was transferred to an Imperial Covette, which was assigned to guard small Imperial convoys.
Alignment and Attitude: Arvel is very proud to be an Imperial. He puts the Imperial Navy and the Empire before everything else.
Former Occupations: Gunner, Imperial Navy.
Hobbies: Tinkering and practicing with small arms, and reading up on the strengths and weaknesses of all Rebel and Imperial ships/fighters. Arvel figures it is a good idea to know your enemy.
Tragedies: While guarding an Imperial convoy in the Dellalt System, Arvel's convoy was attacked by a large group of Rebel starfighters. The Imperial escort was no match for the Rebel force, which consisted of B-Wings and X-Wings. The TIE pilots in the convoy did their best to fight off the Rebels, and after a brave fight, were overwhelmed. Arvel, his best friend, Jacen, (who had been with Arvel since basic training) and the rest of the gunners managed to destroy a few Rebel fighters that ventured too close. Eventually though, the Rebels inflicted serious damage to Arvel's Corvette, and the captain ordered abandon ship. As Arvel and Jacen made their way to the escape pods, a proton torpedo crashed into the compartment where Arvel, Jacen, and 10 other men were standing. When the smoke cleared, everyone in the room had been killed except Arvel and Jacen. Jacen was severely wounded, and Arvel dragged his friend to one of the escape pods. Eventually, an Imperial Frigate came into the system and fought off the Rebels. Arvel was later rescued, but not before Jacen had died in the escape pod. Soon afterwards, Arvel decided he did not want to be a gunner anymore. He wanted to get back at the Rebels the best way he thought he could....in the cockpit of an Imperial fighter.
Phobias and Allergies: Since his incident on the corvette, Arvel does not like to be in small compartments.
Personal View of the Empire and EH: Arvel believes that the Emperor's Hammer is a great organization, and he will try his best to serve the Empire.
Reason for enlisting in the EH: To see the galaxy, become a great pilot, and avenge his friend's death.
