Significant Events of Childhood and Adolescence: Raised as the eldest prince of what he was taught to believe was the Mikalian Domain. In reality it was a string of large mining operations. The mining took place on planets colonized by Davin Mikalen, Cray's Great Grandfather. Eventually the number of inhabitants grew large enough that a government was needed. So Davin formed the Mikalian Protectorate and placed himself as Sovereign ruler. His son inherited the protectorate, and it continued down the line. When Cray reached manhood, he abdicated his desire to rule and applied for the Imperial Academy. While attending the Imperial Academy, Cray learned that one of his younger brothers, in an effort to thrust his way to sovereignty, had murdered his father and captured his mother and grandparents. Cray left the academy and returned home with a friend from the academy. They were able to kill his renegade brother, and restore his family. His friend left to rejoin the Empire, while Cray felt it was his duty to his father to take his position in the Protectorate.
Significant Events of Adulthood: Shortly after taking command of the Mikalian Protectorate, they encountered a fatal threat. The area of space containing the Protectorate was part of a larger sector in dispute between two Imperial Warlords who had torn away from the Empire after the Battle of Endor. In the insuing war between the two Imperial giants, the majority of the Protectorate was wiped out, and their home planet was captured. The majority of his family was executed to eliminate any possible rebellion, but Cray was able to escape. He made his way deeper into the Outer Rim, until he found a large space colony. From there he was able to make contact with his long lost friend, who had joined the Emperor's Hammer. After a long discussion, he decided to apply for a pilot's commission in the EH, and was accepted. Shortly after his friend was killed in action against the New Republic in the Minos conflict. He only later learned that of his many brothers and sisters, only 2 of each escaped the warlord's purge of his family. He remains in contact with them whenever he can.
Alignment and Attitude: Loyal to his family and friends. Loyal to the Emperor's Hammer because they are just in their thinking and committed to the true beliefs of the Emperor, not some petty warlord bent on gaining wealth and power.
Former Occupations: Ruler of a small conglomerate of planets in the Outer Rim.
Hobbies: Studying history, music, ship design.
Tragedies: Father murdered by younger brother. Regained control and saved his family, but was forced to kill his younger brother. Rogue Imperial Warlords destroyed his Protectorate and wiped out a large number of his family. Only 2 brothers and 2 sisters escaped.
Phobias and Allergies: Those who betray their friends and family. The greedy, and the merciless. Those who betray my trust find death to be their only companion.
Personal View of the Empire and EH: The Emperor's Hammer is the best hope of restoring the justice and harmony found under the Empire. Only then will peace be restored and the rogues of the galaxy put down by a true government.
Reason for enlisting in the EH: Love of flying. Dreams of restoring the Empire. Desire to see justice restored so that those who wish to defy the law will pay.
