Inside the House of Qel-Droma, the dark silence issuddenly broken by a mad screaming and a violentcrashing of objects throughout its halls. Alarmed that something maybe amiss, a security guard reacts quickly and comes to the quarters of the House's newest member, Teachdaire.
When the guard makes the mistake of hastily opening the door to the Novice's chambers, he is instantly thrown to the floor, a dark figure standing over him.
When the guard glances up, he sees a flash of steel bearing down on him and a horrible roar from the mouth of Teachdaire. Just as the cold steel is about to meet the neck of the helpless guard, however, Teachdaire's arm is stopped by his Tetrarch, Vassan Rokir, holding him in mid-strike. Before the Novice can react to the firm grip on his arm, a commanding voice comes from Rokir:
"Novice of the Darkside, Korbane Ashoka, the one known as Teachdaire only to us, I command you to stop this furious rage and save it for our enemies".
With those words, Teachdaire suddenly becomes motionless and the relieved security guard squirms from underneath his impending death and runs from the room, leaving only Teachdaire and Rokir. Rokir stands in silence over his pupil, now kneeling in quiet defeat before his Tetrarch.
Gazing into Teachdaire's glowing blue eyes, Rokir can almost sense a tear coming from them. Knowing it would hurt the honor of his student to see him cry he says in a soft but firm voice:
"I will leave you now, my student. But you must learn control."
With that the Tetrarch turns and closes the door to the scene of destruction that is Teachdaire's quarters.
Still in the kneeling position, Teachdaire then allows a single tear to slowly drop from his eye. A furious rage then begins to build up once again, but this time he controls it.
Teachdaire slowly moves to a dark corner of the room; one free of the destruction caused by his rage. He finds his bed there, and a book upon a pedestal: an ancient tome from long ago. From whence it came, even many of the eldest Dark Jedi would not know.
Ignoring the tome for the time being, Teachdaire goes straight to the bed, upon which something is laying completely covered by a soft Sarrai quilt. Slowly he uncovers the object, and the most beautiful face is revealed to him. It is a small portrait of a Sarrai female, her skin a pale blue and lips a light purple. She looks like the dark goddess Marcth, that many on Sarrai worship, known for her beauty and ultimate skill in combat.
Teachdaire caresses the picture lovingly; a picture of a face that belongs now to a lifeless body.
"I will bring you back Chi Haru...and we will have our revenge on those Alliance Intelligence scum."
With that, the Dark Side Novice slowly covers her face again with the quilt and wipes a tear from his eye. Teachdaire moves back to the ancient book, and begins once again an incantation that promises to call Chi Haru's spirit back from the dead. With time, hopefully her spirit will be able to help him transfer her consciousness back into her preserved body on the world of Sif, Teachdaires home.
But it is an incantation that he has tried, and failed, many times over....
