Medical Officer
Report #24
6.22.2001 - FA Michael Tolwyn
GENERAL
Welcome to another interesting FMC-report. :)
A couple
of interesting and important things happened this week. The Special Operations
have finally a leader for the P&R division - the new appointed SNS
and now LEAD Commander Jacob Van Nowack.
The
ISD Subjugator, just recently opened is now at full FMC strength with a
Doctor and a Nurse working there.
Lieutenant
Commander Astix is handling the new FMC/HF relations with competance. It
won't take long until the Corps can start work there.
A couple of days ago, I released a set of standing orders that have to be followed in any case. I asked the responsible people that "somebody send them back". Okay, to make this clear: The next time I ask for "somebody" I want everybody to feel spoken to! Thanks to Major Morgan I finally got them.
Aside from that I've been promoted to the rank of Fleet Admiral (FA). I'm very happy. :)

Life from the desk of the Chief of Special Operations
This
week's report is a little delayed, but RL and a lack of reports
have
taken their toll.
Our
chief torturer and mighty holder of the golden key of the drug
store,
Mike Tolwyn, has been promoted to Fleet Admiral.
Congratulations.!!!!!
Just
in case you already recovered from the promotion party: get
drunk
again, beause DEAN Starfire has also been promoted to Captain.
Drinks
are on the promoted!...as always...
Our
quest for a LEAD of P&R has finally come to an end with the
appointment
of CM Jacob van Nowak.
Roster changes:
We got a LEAD-P&R this week!
Please welcome
LEAD/CM
Jacob van Nowak

DEAN
Starfire has been promoted to the rank of Captain.
Congrats,
Captain Starfire.

1.
New course...?
Looks
like I didn't sleep on this as long as I thought I would :). I've
been
contacting the Professors, and so far, we've settled on implementing a
'Core'
FMC test into the Doctor's Test. By the way, there is a bylaw that
EVERYONE
has to take the Doctor's Test, REGARDLESS of what position you
start
out in, so members who haven't taken it, the URL is
http://division-stormwind.org/fmc/doctor/index.asp
I really
don't know when the new course will be out, but chances are, it'll
be
harder (or at least longer) than the current one, so hurry and take this
old
one while it lasts :).
2.
ID-line addons
It's
come to my attention that there's some mixup regarding the ID-line
addons
for FMC courses. With effect from today, GRADUATES may add the
respective
to their ID-lines :
[FMCA:Course]
DOC
: Doctor's Course
SMS
: Supervisor's Course
PMO
: Principal's Course
Multiple
courses are seperated by the '-', same as TC ID-lines.
3.
Graduates
Congratulations
to the following :
SNS
Jacob Van Nowak, on passing the Supervisor's Course,
DOC
Valin Darkfyre, on passing the Doctor's Course
DOC
Elim Yellek, on passing the Doctor's Course
Good work.

Promotion and Relations
VCHF/CPT Striker reporting in for the P&R division:
Current
P&R members are getting information together from the subgroups the
FMC exists in to gauge the
overall
impression of those subgroups and their views of the FMC as a whole. This
information will be used
to
give the Think Tank a starting point for developing proposals for each
subgroup to improve the relations
and
image of the FMC accordingly.
LEAD/CM
Jacob Van Nowak has been given authorization to proceed with an idea he
presented when he
was
applying for the position in which each subgroup's members will be polled
to gauge more feedback
about
the FMC. No set date for setting this up yet since he was just appointed,
but more information will be
forthcoming
soon.
LEAD
Nowak and I are working together to get the offline version of the revised
FMC manual completed.
The
online version will be much easier to complete once the offline version
is done, and more information on
the
status will be forthcoming as well, but at this time the offline manual
is approximately 60% completed.
CM
Nowak is developing a structure for the P&R, although at this time
it will be difficult to implement with
only
two members, but I have promised him that I will search out more interested
members from within the
FMC
to assist the P&R along with their other duties.

It
looks like the main work the TT did this week was improving our
relationship
with the Hammer's Fist and they are making progress, as
far
as I can tell from all the mails I got.

Greetings from the Battlegroups Medical Center, SMS/CPT Manitsas reporting.

Manitsas was awarded a PC by Chief Medical Officer Michael Tolwyn for the
creation of the updated FMC collar pins. The new pins are not yet
available
at
the Operations Office, but all officers in the FMC Special Operations
division
who are permitted to use the additional pins already have received
them.
The old pins available at the Operations Office are still useable by
all
regular FMC members.

It's
kind of hard to send out an email saying "not much of anything" ...
which
is one of the reasons why I haven't sent a report up until now.
I
haven't
updated the sickbay page in a little while.. that will be rectified
tomorrow.
I also plan on running another wing competition to raise morale,
one
that will draw a higher participation rate than the Bob vs. Fred Wars one.
Nurse
Locke suggested a simple comp where people can submit things for the
medbay
of humor, and the one that DOC Airyu thinks is the most hilarious
wins.
The competition is set to begin at the conclusion of the Wing X League
Competition.

fine really, and we got a new CMDR to fill in one of the

Well,
not much has happened this week I welcomed to new pilots, one coming
from
the RSVs LCM Gloom and one from the ISD Immortal, LT [name omited for

they are fitting in perfectly. As well I helped LT [name

fun so
there
is no point in asking what the morale is.

Sir
this week has been very busy, first to report is that SL Nightmare has
joined
and is now my flight nurse. Second I have already posted on the ASF,
Wing
XIV, and squadron Message Boards ideas for multi-player competitions to
raise
morale after we complete COM Pel's current competition. Next no i have
not
observed anything that would be considered an argument or dodgy. I have
helped
a cadet who then joined the wing and am helping him to acclimate to
his
new home onboard the Intrepid. I am currently busy bribing one of my
Squadron
mates to update the squadron page i am in to have my DOC's office

as to setup a medlab as i myself have no abilities on web design... oops

Fleet Medical Corps Report - June 21st, 2001
SMS "Roasty" Astarosta
General info and Message for the Staff Section
Welcome
to the second edition of the Medical Supervisor report.
I'm
not very pleased with the outcome of the "Nurse Week", with only 2 nurses
responding to it. This of course cripples the report, as I have no news
from 4 wings.
Not
good. NOOOT Good.
Considering
this was kinda rushed as it was my first week, I will let go on it. I will
run a poll on you all to see what you think about this "Nurse Week" altogether,
but let me clear something up.
I
like active people on my staff, and that goes for Nurses too. So nurses,
if you couldn't submit your report, please send a mail saying why. Reports
are the primary duty over here. Next week we go back to
normal.
Gosh, I hate to rant.
Anyway,
for some more sad announcements, the TO denied approval for the
Wing
V FMC sponsored comp because medal issues. I'm working some ideas out with
Sickman to rearrange it and submitting it so it's approved.
And
another major piece of news is that the recently appointed Wing VI commander
MAJ Jesseb Skyrauch contacted me saying there is a problem in his wing
and that he needs our help. I've already offered
all
my assistance on anything, and so did the Wing VI doctor. I'm still waiting
for Skyrauch's reply with a description of the problem, which I don't really
know nothing about. If intervention is needed, I'll brief
you
when I have things set up.
I
want ALL of you who didn't take the DOC course, to do it right away. It
will earn you your promotion and a free back massage by a Twi'lek girl
I know :p
Also,
if for any reason you aren't subscribed to the FMC e-group, do so inmediately.
On
the course of this week, I'll release a set of standards, tips and info
about what I need you to include in your reports. Styles when doing the
reports are different and I want to keep that, but there's some
info
I consider essential and I want you to take
the
time and keep track of it. It'll also help with concerns I'm getting about
not being informed of events within your wing, leading even to impossibility
to make the report. I'll help you find ways to be able to
make
your report anyway.
Ok,
down to the reports...

No more cases of that in the sickbay ;-) Because of the same

On
the same eGroup there has been plenty some mail activity, and since there
haven't

good.

Hey folks, yet another report from you're freindly neighbourhood IWFMC division!!
News:
Last
week I told you of the IW ChatterBox competition, an email activity contest
between two squadrons within the IW, and here are the results!!
The competition runs on three catagories. Simply replying to emails
sent by your
Squadron-mates,
and opponents. We saw a good turn out from both Enforcer and Black
Squadrons, from the CMDR right down to the FMs. These participants
were awarded an MC2. The second was for team effort. For squadron
members
working together to rack up a higher total of emails than the next.
These did not include "yes", "no", or other one word replies.
They were to have at least a full paragraph that included something pertinant
to the ongoing
conversation
of the compeition. The winners this time around was Enforcer, each
member recieved an MC1. The third portion was for individual effort...
who was the single most active member? Well, the winner with a whooping
58
posts
(in a one week time span) was Crusader!! He earned himself an MoD.
(Yup, Cruney won himself three medals for one competition, as could anyone
have done). Also, I myself for the current FMCon Alpha, have sent
in an
answer
for the URL search, picture identification, and the first of the two fiction
parts. Also, DOC Malik has stared a trivia competition for the IW,
news to follow!!
