FLEET MEDICAL CORPS REPORT, JUNE/2
"Honor, Dignity, Doing the Impossible"

MEMBERSHIP COUNT: 51

GENERAL

Welcome to another interesting FMC-report. :)

Let's begin with the most important news right in front: The FMC-membership has passed the 50-mark! This is the first time in the two-years-existance of the Corps and I am very proud of this. It shows that the FMC IS respected and that still people want to join. Drinks and drugs are on me. :)

The new CHF and the VCHF have already begun their work. If you've taken a closer look at the domain, you'd notice the two new banners VCHF Striker made for the SpecOps and the Reserves. Also the Specops will now work over the FMC-manual and bring out an updated version. If there are complicated passages in the old one, or if you didn't understand some things - let them know, they'll correct it!

With the resignation of the FMC's headmaster, this position has been eliminated due to no need. The Dean already did all the work so why keep an HM? Congratulations to Dean Starfire who's now the big-buddy-in-command of the Academy. :)

The idea with the three M/FRGs have been nixed. Grand Admiral Ronin told me they wouldn't suit our needs. BUT... in the same time he offered us to get another Task Force Cruiser. I happily accepted this offer and the Task Force Cruiser "Unity" is hereby put into service under the command of the FMC. All personnel deemed to be on the M/FRG transfers there. Word up, people, it's bigger. :)

Okay... again I've recieved no report from the IW and the BHG. Desmos, I know there's nothing happening over there but the blank field really looks bad. So, drop me at least a quick note every week, okay? Trevor, did your report got lost on the way? I don't seem to be able to dig it out...

Life from the desk of the Chief of Special Operations

Well, here it is: my first report.

The CMO's Order #1 to VCHF Striker and me:

A) Get all divisions in the SpecOps working - that means filled with members, active
and producing results.

...and that's exactly what we were trying to do in the past week and
will be trying during the next few weeks.
We began setting up the Think tank, found designations for the
positions and developed long and short term schemes for the future
Some tasks are still far from being finished, but we in my opinion, we
had a really good start.

Furthermore COL Mantias created a great set of collar pins for us.
I attatched the file.

The following rank and positions will be used in  the Promotion and
Relations Division and the Think Tank
Positions:
Leader of Division: LEAD
Member of Division: MBR

The ranks LT and above will be the "normal" EH fleet ranks (LT, LCM, CM, CPT,
MAJ, LC, COL, GEN)
We have still to decide what to use as lowest rank. SL or ENS (Ensign)

I want to thank CMO Tolwyn, VCHF Striker and LEAD Astix for their
great work in this first week.

Roster changes:

I would like to welcome the following officers to Special Operations:

Think Tank:

LEAD/LCM Astix
MBR Andrijas
MBR Loor

Promotion and Relations:

MBR Keiran

Welcome.

Special announcements:

We got a M/FGR for our own!
After some names have been submitted, we (Mike, Wil Striker and me) agreed
on the name "Unity"

Special operations staff AAAATENTION

It's a great honor to hereby christen the Ship M/FRG Unity

May all the jumps to hyperspace be calculated correctly and the lasers
will never have to be fired.

<Salute>

Back to the reports:

Academy

With the sudden resignation of Headmaster LC Ramos, the spot of
Headmaster got empty. The decision on the successor will be made on
command level this week.

DEAN Starfire has written the following report.

Academy Report

The FMC Academy's doing pretty good. The automation of forms saw a dramatic
increase in courses taken for a moment, although they dropped off for a
while following that. The Supervisor's Course is expected to be automated
by this weekend. Currently, the Academy staff is reviewing the present
courses, which may be subject to change. Some of the proposed changes
include setting up a general FMC Core Test in favor of the Doctor's Course
pulling double duty, shortening the answers required for the Course Tests,
etc. If the FMC members have any suggestions, please feel free to forward
them to me at <Starfire@singnet.com.sg>

<salute>
Commander Elvaron 'SF' Starfire
Dean, Fleet Medical Corps Academy

Promotion and Relations

I appointed MBR/SL Keiran today as the first member of this Division.

a LEAD will follow, soon.

Think Tank

Think Tank (3)
Working On: Motto and divisions
Date Due: 15/06/01
Roster: Three Members;
LCM Astix
SL Loor
SL A.N.Other (I never got his EH name)   <--- It is MBR/SL Andrijas,
Next Project: Flying Doctors                  Astix :)

<SALUTE>
Numbers had trebeled these past 3 days, and the signs are good for the Think
Tank. I have looked at how to organize us, and have decided that the best
way is simply to leave us as one, large group with the possibility of dividing
later.
Have got another two recruits on the boards.
Short this week due to short notice...

Salute officers of the Fleet medical corps

this week we have a new SMS for the Sovereign CM Astarosta - former
Wing II Doctor.

so lets come direct to the report of him.
Mr. Astarosta
As this is the first report, and I've been appointed two days ago, this
report was made by CPT Wil Striker, to whom I thank for forwarding it.
Next week I'll do my
very first true report and I'll announce a couple of ideas that are
bouncing in my head right now. From here, it's Wil speaking:
Oh, one last thing for me to do as my last command as SMS… Mr. Tempus,
you are hereby excused from punishment since you notified me you had
been without your ISP for the past two weeks. Thanks for letting me know
as soon as you
did.
The notice of my advancement to Vice Chief of Special Operations was as
much of a shock to me as it was to all of you I’m sure. However it is a
welcome one,
and provides me with a chance to help make the FMC bigger and more
productive than it has ever been before!

so the Sovereign seems well as all over the last month - some medals
some promotions, some gone to RSV but the ship has now 237 pilots and is
battling hard.
SMS/CPT Wil Striker/FMC-TC/SSSD Sovereign

nd that wraps it up for me, gentlemen. Once again, it is a pleasure to
know we'll be working together. Till next week, this is Roasty reporting
;)
Respectfully,
SMS Astarosta

Well well well.... and from Mr. Kale i have no real good news and got
this information today morning

Sorry, I have had some computer problems.
I had to re format my HD.
I am REALLY SORRY!
I should be back up running in a few days.
I have everything installed but I lost my mail and
links. I hate HD crashes!

CM Kale

so its too late for a report also to get the needed info from other
people.
i send this report out without the ASFAV. Cpt Morgan

but once more a good report of the Battlegruops
Mr. Manitsas.

BGCOM Adrenaline is on vacation, and COM Mell is Acting-BGCOM.
I have created a new set of FMC pins which now include the FMC Special
Ops
positions.  I expect them to show up soon at the EH Operations Office
site.
The Special Ops positions have matching rectangles around the FMC
emblems.

DOC Kodiak Kereban of the Colossus and DOC Riccardo Grazioli of the
Immortal passed the DOC/N exam and were promoted to LT.  Nurse Ric
Gravin joins the
Immortal.  Congratulations!

The Pi situation has been resolved, activity picked up alot, so looks
like
Pi's staying open... lots of sighs of relief were heard. My weekly joke
comp
is still a hit, and I made a drunken appearance on mIRC which I was told

brought a smile to everyones face. Omicron CMDR stepped down but the
members  don't see it as a major problem, a replacement is on the way.
Other than
that, morales fine, no-ones came to me with problems so I'm guessing
everythings fine.

<Salute> I've been talking with the Chancellor for the past little while, and he's filled me on where he'd like the IS-FMC to focus.  From that, I drafted a letter to the mid-level leaders in the Senate, which I'm passing by my SMS before I send it out.  Hurry up, Crais! Other than that, it's been fairly quiet.  The applicant we had last week hasn't contacted me since then, so that's a bust.  Doctor Imperialistichasser tells me he's been having e-mail trouble lately, so that's been a difficulty.  We'll have that sorted out by next week. PMO/CPT Plif/IS-FMC/M-TFC Last Hope
