Medical Officer
Report #18
5.10.2001 - AD Michael Tolwyn
GENERAL
We've
got a quite quiet week this one. It is, however, a pleasure to see that
three Doctors have completed their DOC-courses and been promoted to Lieutenant
(LT). Congratulations go out to the Lieutenants Halcyon, Doyon and Janson.
Slight drop in membership due to cleansweep in IS-FMC and the resignation
of one Doctor.
Our
new run-on seems to go quite well - I'm curious where it will take us.
It is also a good utility to get to know each other and the Corps itself
better.
It
is located here.
I am pleased to see that most of the reports came right in time. Good work
guys. Plif, I know there isn't going much on in the Senate atm, but please
send me a short note that can be interpreted as report, okay? Ramos, LO
may be very time-intensive but I need the reports from the Academy. If
you can't handle them, perhaps Starfire should write them?

Kale reporting
Greetings,
this is going to be a good month for the Avenger, esp. Stalker
Squadron.
(Go Stalker Squadron!! Yiii-heaaaa!)
We
are massing some serious points! The avenger is having a
mini
comp,
Wing I vs. Wing II. To see which wing is the best.
Everyone
knows its wing I, but I guess we should go ahead and prove it.
So,
the feel of the Avenger is alive with activity. This is making
everyone
feel
good about their respective squads, life is good.
LT
Wes Janson has been elevated from Nurse to DOC on the Vanguard,
Congrats!
According
to the Roster Wes is the only one who has had his DOC test
graded,
SL Mo has turned his in and it should be graded soon. Still have
a
bunch
of SL. Gotta change that.
I
have emailed the tripidium(Tau) and asked the comander there to pass
the
word
on applying for the DOC and Nurse position. Hope they are not too
proud
to
join.
I
also need a SNS, I am going to wait a while before chooseing since I
had
completely
cleaned the slate when I got here, everyone is still new and
I
dont
want to make a bad choice.
Doctors
reports:
Ok
I've done the doc course and emailed it to the Prof. What else, my
ship
seems
to be the same old, and I haven't gotten any submittions let alone
any
response
for the Spirit Points thing, I'm telling you, we need a medal.
No
one
has visited my waiting room either, and I'm guessing the crew is all
fit,
cause I made sure they know that I'm alive, and how to contact me.
Other
than that, its all the same.

DOC/LT
Wes Janson/ISD Grey Wolf:
-Your's
truly picked up a CMDR spot this week, and recruited a new SL to
the
Grey
Wolf
-Additionally,
I am now working with the two newest members of the GW,
SL
Ysalamiri
and SL-now LT Keyan Varand, and helping them get settled in.
They
are
settling in nicely. Expect more next week.
-Curently,
there are no problems on the Grey Wolf, with a slight lull in
activity.
Expect some comps soon to remedy this.

next one is now SMS Manitsas
Greetings
from the Battlegroups Medical Center, SMS/CM Manitsas
reporting.
The
BGCOM, AD Jarak Maldon, has stepped down. The next BGCOM has yet
to
be
selected. In the meantime, the Lord Ambassador (former Relentless
DOC
Dan
Malaktos)
has set up each of the four ISDs of the Battlegroups with one
of
four
outside TIE, XWA, or XvT organizations in "Operation: Aquitaine."
He
says,
"This operation will encompass several ships of the TIE Corps
facing
seperate
organizations at roughly the same time. I have chosen the
Battlegroups
to spearhead the operation because of its high morale and
activity."
Recruitment
for the empty positions listed in the roster below is
ongoing.
At
the present time, due to the small number of Battlegroups Doctors, I
am
not
actively recruiting for a Senior Nursing Supervisor, but I will
entertain
any
applications. For now, I am content to keep my nurse driod, RX-79,
keeping
an optical receptor on the BG Medical Center.

DOC
Airyu has added a couple of things to the humor page. He's got a
couple
of
logs he's still yet to post, sent to him by Nurse Locke. He also
has
a
top
25 list that Talon Drear dug up, and an incredibly stupid graphic
that
he
created,
the first in a series of many. Bob Versus Fred Wars, the
comic,
is
currently
in production. Be warned. With Wc/GN Darklord coming
back,
the
wing
is undergoing a sort of revitalization. We're getting into the
swing
of
things
again. Talon Drear has been recognized with an ISM for his
assistance.

DOC
Doyon has passed the test for the MedLab Course, and has been
promoted
to LT. He has been introduced to the FMC command structure,
and
plans to be
active
on the mIRC Medcorps channel.
He
plans to introduce any recruits when they will join the ship. He
will
try
to
keep informed by the WC, so he will know every recruit. He was
already
solving
and helping some members with problems and tips, so he doesn't
think
it
will be tough to do it "officially" :)
He
plans to send out a "Picture of the week" to the Relentless (a funny
picture).

FMC Report #3: SMS Wil Striker reporting
A
lot of activity and communication across the entire Sov this week as
details
are hammered out for the proposed FMC
sponsored
Top Gun Pilot Competition for the SSSD Sovereign! The
responses
have been great so far from many WCs and CMDRs about this idea
and
even FA Kramer gave his approval for it. So everyone get ready for a
bloody
battle to take place on the Sov! More information about the
competition
will be coming soon!
DOC
Halcyon completed his DOC Course and has been promoted to LT!
Congrats
LT Halcyon.
I
like to remind the Nurses to check in each week with SNS Viper so that
he
will at least know your still alive and kicking, and to help pass on
any
ideas or thoughts you may have. Remember, it isnt only the DOCs in
each
wing that can make a difference, the Nurses do as well!
Anyone
with the rank of SL is encouraged to take the DOC/Nurse exam and
get
promoted to LT as soon as possible!
Afterall,
LT looks much better than SL does in front of your name. :P
Ok,
hopefull this will be the last time I have to mention that if you
dont
submit your reports in each week, then you will be replaced. Hate
to
be the tyrant here, but if you cant do your job as a DOC and keep the
FMC
informed about what is going on in your respective Wing, then I will
have
to find someone that can. This week DOC Tempus failed to submit a
report,
and after repeated attempts never received a reply from him.
Wing
I: DOC/LT Kaleel Tempus reports:
No
Report from Wing I this week. One more time and I will have to take

Wing
II: DOC/LCM Astarosta reports:
The
first week of my dictatorship over Wing II as Acting Wing Commander
has
ended, and pilots are scared enough.
Well,
just kidding, morale is pretty high, aided by a pretty nice
victory
over Wing V against all odds (Sorry Wil, Wing V battled with
honor,
and I'm sure your wing is thirsty for a rematch. We'll see what
happens),
mail chains swarm all over
the
place and online mIRC activity is high too. Major news involve our
own
mighty Sigma squadron qualifying for the semifinals on the Sov
Squadron
League, having Tornado as the next tough rival on their path to
the
final. Rosters are still
stable,
with only a pilot on Sin retiring to the reserves. As usual,
Wing
II is cookin' ;)
Wing
status = 43
Wing
III: DOC/LT Osanâ'gar reports:
This
week has been very productive as we are now at our highest level of
pilots
for a couple of months. New pilots have been transferring from
Daedalus
and
veteran
Wing IIIers have been returning from the reserves.
Aleth:
Aleth squadron currently has the highest numbers in the Wing as a
new
pilot joined then from Daedalus this week. They have just finished
an
intra-squadron competition and participation appeared to be good. One
pilot
also was awarded an ISM for excellent activity since he joined the
squadron.
Beth:
Beth had two promotions this week. Beth gained two pilots this
week
with one person joining from Daedalus, and LCM Seth Rommel
transferring
from Hey to Beth. Beths CRT test also finished with them
gaining
a level of 3.
Daleth:
The intra-squad flying competition finished with LT Dark Angel
(the
Wing Nurse) coming first and being awarded an IS-BW for his
efforts.
Hey:
Hey lost LCM Seth Rommel to Beth squad this week,
but
LT Ryan Tribal replaces him as the new FL of Flight III. Also one
new
pilot transferred in from Daedalus. The Hey website has been updated
with
all
the
latest news and LT Ryan has created a new Flight III homepage. Heys
comp
with Teth of Wing IV is coming to a close and results will be out
soon.
The
Wing III Survivor Competition is entering into its final stages with
only
4 pilots remaining, and one being in the process of being voted out
as
I write this. LCM Josh Popelka won the last round and gained immunity
from
voting and Round 6 will begin soon. The winner at this time will
receive
an IS-SR and this may be increased if the participants perform
well
over the next few rounds.
The
website competition is still running and the entrants have until the
15th
May to make a page for the entire wing and host it somewhere on the
web.
Also,
I am about to set up a temporary Yahoogroups for the entire Wing
until
FA AbK offers mailing lists again so this should increase Wing
communication.
My
work on the Wing III pilot archive continues but I
am
still looking for submissions from all over the wing. When I have got
enough
submissions, the page will be released online along with the Wing
III
Sickbay which is basically finished now.

Wing
IV: DOC/LT Halcyon reports:
Here
is my report for this week. Not much going on DOC wise. I do
have
an
idea for a wing competition, but since the wing is already in a
competition,
I will hold the idea until it's over. Not much else to
report
about in relation to Doctor
duties.
Now onto the different squadrons.
Zayin
Squadron: No report was received from them and there have been no
changes
in their roster
Cheth
Squadron: Cheth has two new pilots, SL Giena Viehl and LT Mantis
has
transferred over from Teth squadron to become Flight Leader of
Flight
II. They are also taking ideas for a competition to spark
activity,
and are recruiting.
Teth
Squadron: Teth finished in first place after the last round in the
Squadron
League and are currently busy flying the next battle. With the
transfer
of LT Mantis to Cheth, Teth has found a new pilot to round out
their
squadron, but it is not
official
as of yet. They are also in a competition against Hey
squadron,
but their priority is the SL.
Yod
Squadron: Yod has won round 1 of the Wing IV SL. CM StarFire has
received
a ISM for beta-testing and CPT Morth has received a BS for
surpassing
500 FCHG points.
Kaph
Squadron: Kaph has a new pilot, LT Mo Kongo. Nothing else to
report.
Lamed
Squadron: Still at only 2 pilots, with no CMDR, and as such,
nothing
to report.
A
busy week in the wing.
Wing
status = 40
Wing
V: DOC/SL Sickman reports:
Squadrons
Mem
Squadron
Mem

CM

SL
Lucas Skyjumper was promoted to the rank of LT.
Squadron
at full strength now! Morale is very high!
Nun
Squadron
CMDR
Brad Tack seems to be trying new ideas for motivating his squadron,
flying
is still low, but all pilots are active in communication.
Samekh
Squadron
Flying
activity is up at Samekh, 1 AWOL, and 1 award this week with CPT
Wil
Striker getting the Order of the Vanguard for 1 year in service.
Aylin
Squadron
Activity
is better this week for Aylin, flying activity is still low,
but
other activities are on the increase, moral seems ok.
Pe
Squadron
Flying
is still low at Pe, only the CMDR flying 1 battle. Communication
seems
good apart from 1 pilot, morale seems ok.
Sadhe
Squadron
Flying
activity is on the up at Sadhe, medal awards & promotions for
this
week are:
SL
Murkrow Defender was promoted to LT & awarded a MoI,
LT
Thomas Nitecki & LCM Kettch awarded CoB`s.
Morale
is good!
DOC`s
Note`s
Well
the flying flu seems to be getting better, with increase all over
(not
much but some), I think the hunger for flying is returning, plus
some
pilots are finding RL getting better and have time for the TC.

hope that CPT Wil Strikerâ

but i've managed to participate in the IW-FMC chatterbox comp, design some

I'm going to have to recruit a new nurse, and i'm very tempted to ask a
professional webdesigner i know to start my site (a combination Wing II
WC/Wing II Doc office sort of thing with a section including my modified
b-wing severence pics/stats). I can even get a discount on the price too
so i'm very tempted. But i really just need to go pick up a book and learn:P.DOC/LCM
