Wing XV Report #11 - 04.14.01


Reminder since not many people actually the news section :P: I'll be on leave from Sunday the 15th to Thursday the 19th.

Pilot's Lounge

"Do something, Khadgar!"
"Quiet, Droole!"
Khadgar slowly navigated his way through the lag field, generated by the LucasArts fighters.
"Wait, I have an idea, Khadgar!"
"What is it?"
"Perhaps if we modified the ship, we could make ourselves immune to the effects of lag."
Droole opened a compartment on the ship, "Look, this shiponly runs on a 56k access rate!"
Droole pulled out a Cable Modem, "I will put this Cable Modem, developed by @Home, into our ships systems, it should make us immune to the lag."
"Do it, Droole!"
After a few minutes, the ship was at normal speeds, and we started to loose the trailing fighters.
"Haha, we did it, Droole!"
Just then, a light marked "Cable" started to flash, the ship came to a hault. "Aaaaggghhhh!" Khadgar grunted, "What happened?"
"The @Home Network is down, they're probably doing more upgrades!"
"Well, that's just great! What now?"
"Wait, the Cable light is flashing, we might be back in business..."
The Cable light lit up again, and the ship came back online with a jolt.
"Computer, set course for Eras Du'kai's asteroid!"
We sped towards the asteroid at "Lite Speed" (I think Light Speed is probably copyrightted by now. :)
However, after two minutes, the cable light started flashing again and the ship came to a hault. (Khadgar's note: Now you know how I feel, my internet has been doing this the whole day! :P)
After a five minute wait, the ship was back on course.

The ship headed in fast at Eras Du'kai's asteroid.
As he got to the entrance, the door entered, and Khadgar came down for a landing.
"Wait a minute, this happened last time and we ended up in trouble..."
Khadgar sat and pondered, and finally pressed a button on the control pad.
"Why did you do that?" Droole said.
"Well, last time we came to this asteroid, some thugs were hidden in the back of the ship, I just filtered some laughing gas into the back compartment."
Suddenly we heard a laughing coming from the back.
I went to the back of the ship to see the same thugs as before, but they were on the ground laughing and rolling around.
"Ah ha, the gas worked."
One of the guards said whie laughing, "No, George W. Bush just made another speech!"
Khadgar looked at a monitor, and after a few minutes, got down on the floor and started rolling on the floor laughing (ROTFL).
After rolling on the floor laughing for awhile, Khadgar and Droole proceeded into the asteroid...

Monk Mordack - Don't mess with the monastery. >:)

"The monastery is under attack by Rebels!" Monk Mordack said.
Cardinal Khadgar picked pointed his gold staff at Mordack, "Go, summon the tribe, we must protect the monastery!"
"Of course, your eminance!" Mordack said, hurrying away.
Khadgar walked up into the fields and glanced up into a tree.
An Ewok blew a horn, and seemingly out of no where, an entire legion of Ewok Warriors appeared.
Monk Mordack yelled out, "The Rebels are coming, the Rebels are coming!"
Suddenly, a large group of Rebel troops came out of the forest.
One raised his blaster and shot a bolt at Cardinal Khadgar.
Khadgar blocked with his gold staff and walked towards the Rebel.
The Rebel raised his blaster again, but it was hit down by the gold staff.
The Rebel said, "You can't hurt me, I have 2 months of experience!"
Khadgar muttered, "I was in the Empire before you were born," and hit the Rebel with his gold staff, putting him out of the fight.

Suddenly, Khadgar felt a tap on the back of his knee.
He turned around and looked down to see an Ewok.
"Chief Ender! I must say, tribe XV is doing well in the battle."
Ender bowed and said something in Ewok, roughly translating to, "I am honored, Cardinal, we will prevail over the Rebels."
Suddenly, I heard a loud battlecry... "FOR CORRUPTION - FOR BRIBERY - FOR GREAT JUSTICE - FOR THE REPUBLIC!!!!!" and saw three detachments of Rebel troops charge out position.
Khadgar waved his gold staff, and created a wall in front of the charging troops, knocking them down.
The Ewoks didn't have a very good command of the English language, so their battlecry was: "ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US!"
One of the Rebels yelled out, "What, you say?" but was hit by a rock launched from a catapault.

The remaining Rebels were driven back by the Ewok tribe, earning the gratitude of the monastery...
However, the Rebels pledged to "destroy the monastery from within" as they retreated!
