COM/RA Woobee reporting
in : 01-Apr-2001
G'day Wolf Pack and Flag Officers.
Although I like to leave most of the techical reporting to MAJ
Brucmack, I feel it is important that everyone have a look at this information.
Considering it was the subject of VA Cyric's competition, it's fairly timely
too. What follows is two charts, for the March WoWs. They show who participated
in matches.

This says to me that there were only five people, on both occaisions,
who were willing to have a go at representing the Emperor's Hammer at the
largest inter-club XvT/XWA competitions. I am at a loss to explain why there is
not more interest in this. We've got some of the greatest pilots flying for our
side, and it is very easy and fun to get involved.
We are in the ASF. We do many things, but Multiplayer is what we
(theoretically) do best. I know it isn't always practical to fly online. Living
in Australia I know this well. Where there is a will, there is a way though. WoW
is great, because it is such a large competition you are bound to find someone
you can have reasonably good data communication with, and thus have some good
matches.
I would like everybody to think about this. When the next WoW comes around,
we should be able to double the number of participants easily. CMDRs, you have a
special responsibility to personally help your pilots get an opportunity to get
involved. Flying multiplayer should be easy and fun, and not a tiresome
obstacle.
Anyway, on another subject, me. :P I have personally got back into the
cockpit this week (as promised) and flow a bit. Okay, two free missions and
a WoW match isn't a huge amount for a week, but I'm working on it. *grin* If
everyone did at least that every week I think there'd be happy CMDRs
everywhere.
Good news, the GW website has been updated a bit more, it is even more
useful now. The links in the comms section pages are better, and I have added a
link to a bit of information about MAJ Khadgar's ASF Propaganda Office. The
squadron pages have been upgraded, so they have a little content now. The
Offices have been updated, mine most significantly. Learn more than you ever
wanted to know about me.
I have rambled on enough once again. I'll let you all get back to your
ships.
Ni!
