Phantom Squadron
Report #11
4.22.2001 - CPT Werdna Elbee
A quite week for us at Phantom. With no flying
competitions on everyone has been having to keep themselves busy. You've all
been doing a good job too. I'm getting plenty of IWATS passes in my inbox, and I
see a lot of you communicating. Still, it would be nice to have a competition so
I'll have something sorted out for Monday. Until then, pilots...get making banners for the
Immortal. There is a competition on right now and the winner will get an IS-SR.
If you want a shiny medal, check out the details in "Current Activities and Competitions" SL Mark promoted to LT Well done to Mark who was promoted to LT over the past week.
He got it for passing the IWATS course mIRC/1, which he also added to by passing
mIRC/2 this week. Hurrah...another active new pilot to add to my collection :o) Flight III changes Flight III now have a new motto, "Now You
See, Now You Die". It's also worth noting that the Flight III website has
moved to http://w1.183.telia.com/~u18312284. Squadron Website You're probably wondering where our squadron
website is and what it's status is. In fact, I know that's what your thinking
because the question has jest been posted on the Phantom Mailing List (http://www.tiecorps.org/mb/view.asp?b=35&v=2&s=0).
Well, I can honestly say that the important bits have been completed (such as
the frames, news/competitions, roster, links, etc) but the special features
(such as the archive, pilot details and squadron details) have not been added
yet. I am going to temporarily post the site at http://battlecry.emperorshammer.ca/phantom/
because I don't have any webspace for it yet. Expect that to change in the
future. New Wing GFX Competition Create a banner for the Immortal/Wing XI with
the dimensions of 400x50 pixels. The first prize is
an IS-SR
and the second an IS-BR. Deadline is
the 2nd May and all entries go to COL Badlands at badlands@isdclements.freeserve.co.uk.
Also cc: me your entries, or at least tell me you have entered. I want to see you all enter in this
competition. If you don't think you can for any reason, then please mail me to
say why...otherwise I'll just think your a lazy sod!!! COL Callista awarded the MoH She has been responsible for several magazine
article mentions and was the coordinator of running the Emperor's Hammer booth
at Jedi Con 2001 in Germany, which will be featured in Newsletter #74!

Comments: As well as all that, I've been keeping
busy with my new EH magazine and communicating on the mailing lists, message
boards, IRC and anything else that you can have a talk on.
Comments: Jari has been keeping in contact
with me. FL/CPT Malik Comments: I've seen Malik posting on the
mailing list, and he does frequent IRC quite a lot.
FM/LT Mark Comments: Actually, Mark has been more active
than this as I got a couple of other pilot files from him. However there must
have been some problem because the files I got had no scores on them, so they
couldn't be BSFed. He's also been keeping in good contact with me.
FL/CM Gunman Comments: Gunman has been working very hard on
sorting out a competition for his flight, but it didn't work out (not his
fault!!!). Also, as far as I know he has been posting on the mailing list. I
think he goes on IRC too, but not at the same times as me. Comments: After flying IW-XWA27 he had again
completed all the battles/missions for XWA. Well done...again. Spearhawk has
also been posting on the message boards and mailing list, and still lives in IRC. Comments: Deimos has been posting on the
mailing list.

Message Board
- I just want to remind everyone that there are a few topics of conversation
going on in the Phantom Message Board. It can be found in the same neighbourhood
as the main TC message boards at http://www.tiecorps.org/mb/
Mailing List You can also post on this mailing list. Simply mail Phantom_Squadron@yahoogroups.com
what you would like to have posted. You could post information, start and carry
on discussions, ask for help on a variety of subjects, post tips for how to do
better in a competition mission, etc.
IRC Please attend #isd_immortal as often as possible on IRC. There
are also the channels #emperor’s_hammer and #tiecorps, so please go there as
often as you can. If you don't know how to use or get on IRC, please mail me
about it and I will help you.
Immortal IRC Meeting - There is also a Ship meeting in #isd_immortal at
3pm EST (8pm GMT) every Sunday for announcements and chat. I should be there, so
if you need any help with anything or just a chat with me, please show up.
18:16 - SA Kawolski [absurefire@aol.com]
All out congratulations go to the TIE Corps' own Colonel
Callista for being awarded the Emperor's Hammer highest award, the Medal
of Honor!
18:53 - SA Kawolski [absurefire@aol.com]
Yes, it's very late. I'll explain why in my upcoming report.
Special thanks go to Admiral Quake for help putting this together with HTMLizing
submissions. If it weren't for his help, this NL would've been held back and
released along side with NL #74.

19:41 - VA Draye C. Maaric [belair2267@email.com]
Greetings. To facilitate an increase in activity, the Special
Operations Director (SOD) is now accepting new project ideas. The only criteria
as of right now are as follows:
2. Any and all suggestions must be original. No cheap knock-offs of other
projects or programs.
3. Make them cool! The EH already has a great foundation for doing what it set
out to do (being the largest Star Wars organization in the world and all), so
let's all contribute to make it an even more fun group to be a part of!
19:43 - COL Mairin [somnia_vacua@yahoo.com]
With the demise of EH Cosmospolitan and Battlecry, Mairin and
Werdna have teamed up to produce the new generation of EH magazine: Imperial
Vogue!
20:07 - VA Ramos Kanzco [Magedon42@aol.com]
The Logistics Office Presents to you the 2001 Mr./Miss EH
Competition. The Page for the first round can be found at http://lo.minos.net/ehmrmiss-second.php3
21:37 - SA Kawolski [absurefire@aol.com]
Grand Admiral Ronin
has updated the EH
Imperial News Center with news on the latest command changes,
promotions, and other Star Wars info.
11:50 - FA Priyum Patel [spellfire@btinternet.com]
Many congratulations go out to Rear
Admiral Manitsas who has been appointed as the new Commodore for the ISD
Challenge. Manitsas has been a long standing member of the ship, and should
prove to be a fine choice.
19:00 - HA Astatine [jpboyce@indigo.net.au]
There's now a downloadable version of the Training Manual here.
It's 830K zipped and is in PDF (Acrobat) format.
22:43 - FA Absolutek [io@absolutek.com]
Since I don't see my online mirror of NL #73 mentioned anywhere,
I thought I'd let people know about it, since I know there are those of you out
there who do not feel like downloading all +6MB worth of NL zip :-)
