System Facilities
The history of the Lyarna System is still unknown. Currently the system is the home to The Guild. The system serves as their Commission Headquarters, location of the Nideavoot Tsayad College, and places of residency. Even though the system's primary use is by The Guild, others inhabit the system as well.

Zahnis is a blue Wolf-Rayet star, which is located at the center of the Lyarna System. Zahnis' sounding gasses are much richer in carbon, nitrogen, and hydrogen then most stars. The nature of a Wolf-Rayet star is to blow off most of its outer layers of gas leaving the core of helium and heavier gases exposed. The blowing off of the gasses result in a wondrous display of color.

Drezo is the planet closest to Zahnis. Its surface for the most part is a barren waste land of rock and sand. The planet gains its character from its enormous and abundant volcanoes, some dormant and others very active. There are rivers and seas of molten lava. The Pasha River is the widest and deepest river on the planet with its wild rapids of flowing lava. Due to the ever present lava the surface of the planet is ever changing, and is hard to map and document. The Blaze Forest is home to the eternal burning trees. Where most trees have leaves, the Blaze Tree has flames. To see this forest is truly a sight. This seemingly uninhabitable plant is the residence of not only the Mentors Kuko Team, but the Nideavoot Tsayad Bounty Hunter College as well. The Nideavoot Tsayad College resides in the underground superstructure. Due to the incredible heat, in all it's forms, on the planet's surface, the guild was forced to put their College below the ground, and has done quite well.

One has to enter the college through a hollowed-out dead volcano, which leads to the hangars inside the structure. It is relatively easy to navigate through the gigantic volcano opening, and few accidents have occurred. Once passing through the mountains depths, your ship is lead down a short tunnel by a tractor beam and placed next to the entrance to the main part of the college. After you have left your ship and entered the main room, your ship is zoomed away by the beam and placed in a safe parking area. You are given a slip so that you may give it to the valet droid to call back your ship when you depart. The main room is a enormous room, surrounded by turbo-lifts leading to all different places. Without the proper directions, some could get lost in the huge college; but, thankfully, there is a large directory and map placed in the main room to help you find your destination. If you are of poor direction, tour droids can be rented to guide you around (this is recommended for visitors and new students).

The first turbo-lift takes you to the supply store, where you can purchase all the school supplies you need. This includes notebooks, pens and pencils, erasers, blasters, and everything else a apprentice would need to help themselves learn the Ways of the Bounty Hunter. The second stop on the lift is the bookstore. Here, students can purchase whatever textbooks and holo-books they need for their classes. Such books sold here include the Ways of the Bounty Hunter by Master Jade; The Guide to IRC Hunts by Master Flame; and, of course, the standard Bounty Hunter Manual.

The next stop is the dormitories. Upon your entrance, you will find mountains of apartments set aside for the large number of apprentices staying at the college. The rooms are basic quarters: furnished in a simple and Spartan manner, with a computer workstation in one corner and an exercise mat covering fully half the room. There is no entertainment center. Their is a small kitchenette prior to entering the sleeping area. The bedroom, which are modestly furnished, with a good-sized closet and an adjoining bathroom.

The fourth room is the cafeteria hall. Once you enter, you will be rushed into a long hall, given a tray by a service droid, and thrust down a line where you will be served by serving droids, who plop whatever is on the menu that morning/afternoon/evening. After making it down the line with a full tray, you are left to select a seat (if you can find one) at the large seating area, which has at least twelve long tables to eat at. The final stop before reaching the college itself is the restrooms, which are always over flowing with young Apprentices. Despite the large number of patrons, the restrooms are kept spotless by round-the-minute sanitation droids.

At the bottom of structure is the actual teaching building. It is a colossal piece of architecture: rising thousands and thousands of stories high. It is in this housing where the classrooms and lecture halls are placed. Artificial gardens and trees made by expert holo-botanists have been placed around the campus to give the area a natural feel, but the plassteel ceiling high above ruins the effect. The classrooms are pretty basic: a clean, absolutely spotless marble floor is what you make first contact with as you open the solid, polished wood door. From the top of the stairs that lead down to the base of the classroom, you can see seats for students crowded together and filled to the brink on the left and right side of the stair steps. Looking down, at the bottom, you can see the teacher's desk, which is black and shiny with a fine furnish, and is no doubt stacked with paperwork given by superiors and with fruits given by students. To the left of the desk is a huge screen which projects images to students even in the very back of the room. To the right is a podium which rises up and down so it can adjust to the teacher's height. The lecture halls are even more magnificent: the towering heights of the ceiling are a great marvel, with the beautifully crafted paintings on the inset of the domes and along the sides where the ceiling ends and walls begin. The carved-out seats, sanded down to pure beauty, almost match the loveliness of the paintings. Lined perfectly in long rows, leaving little room for aisles, they come to a stop just a few feet from the stage. The stage rises about two meters into the air, and is draped over with wonderful purple carpeting and matches the flowing curtains hanging from overhead. The podium is wide and tall, but can be adjusted for the speaker's width and height as well. Such notable speakers that have passed through here are numerous Masters, a few High Masters, and even the Grand Master himself on the blessed occasions of the beginning of school, and of course, graduation. There is also a gym located a shad south of the classroom and hall buildings, for the Hunters to work out at and build up their muscles to help catch their acquisitions. There is also a very respected and distinguished blaster shooting hall located here, for Apprentices to work on their aim. Finally, there is the Dean's Building, a large mansion of a house where the Dean can enjoy himself with a various sports, a large personal theater, a enormous kitchen to quench any hunger or thirst, and a gigantic entertainment center, all for the Dean's pleasure. Underground as well is the planet's main source of power, Helios, which is a huge steam power plant. There are only two things located on the surface of Drezo. One is the Spaceport Shamash and the other, the Headquarters of the Kuko Team. The Kuko Team's homebase is located in the center of the 1 billion year old extinct volcano, Vesta.

The second planet in the Lyarna System is Sol'rahl. This planet is fairly normal compared to the others in the system, as it does not have one special climate, but rather varied ones depending on where one is on the planet. Sol'rahl has polar ice caps which are extremely cold and cannot support multi-cellular life. However, closer in to the equator, the climate grows warmer and mountain ranges begin to appear. Most of them are inhabited only by the usual ice beast, but in one area, the Aforim Ranges, huge beasts of burden close to seventy feet tall are found. The reason for these Aurenar, as they are called, is the race of giants which are native to the planet Sol'rahl. They live on the edge of the Aforim Ranges, and are about as tall as one Aurenar. Through the aid of Imperial linguists, the giants have been taught to speak rudimentary Imperial Standard Basic and aid the Guild in erecting buildings. Imperial biologists have dubbed them Kultirans. The Aurenar serve as food and mounts for the Kultirans.

Also on this planet, in the more northern regions, there are huge stretches of grassland. Here the two foot tall Dersas abound. The Dersas are a very strange civilization, as they are born as large as a full-grown adult. Both of these sapient species resemble humans - the Kultirans are amazingly strong, while the Dersas are short and chubby, wearing only skins. High Master Trench also erected his personal estate exactly on Sol'rahl's equator. It was built by Kultirans, who also serve as guards and such, while young Dersas work inside, taking the jobs of servants. The occurrence of both giants and midgets on the same planet has led many biologists and botanists to Sol'rahl as well. There is one minor spaceport on Sol'rahl, which houses Trench's starships and has landing space for one star galleon and five starfighters.

Also, on the surface, is the underground laboratories of the CA:TACT, Darkon. A minimal amount of this structure is above ground, mostly, it is underground. On the surface, is an ultra strong hanger bay. Inside the hanger are Darkon's collection of ships, (Darkon's collection includes almost one of every starfighter ever built, everything from the ancient Z-95 Headhunter to the destructive Missile Boat). The hanger cannot hold anything bigger than a fighter. Beneath the surface, is Darkon's office, laboratory, and test facilities. In his office, he can control Tempestuous, even though it is very far away. How this is done remains classified. In his laboratory, he researches bio-technology in order to improve the qualities of his suit. In the test facilities, experiments from the labs are put to the test. A product that was developed by this lab/testing facility is White Fire.

Ravouin, one of the larger planets in the Lyarna System, is covered with dense rain forests and mountains. Cloud-cover and rainfall are ubiquitous, resulting in uncounted numbers of spectacular water falls and fresh water pools. The tropical rain-forests contain literally millions of types of vegetation and thousands of species of animals and insects, many of which have yet to be cataloged. The huge complex of the Bounty Hunters Guild Commission Estate is also located on Ravouin, as is the primary spaceport of the Lyarna System, the Spaceport of Tristram. Tristam is located near Gawain, the largest city in the System. Gawain thrives on black market commerce, and is home to many Black Market merchants. Security procedures, instituted by the Bounty Hunters Guild, require that all travelers to the Lyarna System check in at Tristram before being allowed passage to Gawain and the rest of the system. The Guild's Capital Ship, Ivanhoe is docked at the Platform Cernun that orbits Ravouin. The Administration personnel and Mentors transport to and from the Platform on their personal fighter ships.

In the front of the Commission Estate there are the statues of the Guild's Grand Masters. These statues are sculpted out of marble and each stands over 16 feet tall, looming over all who enters the Commission Estate. Ex-Grand Master Night's and Grand Master Royal's statues are cleaned on a regular basis to ensure that they are kept in tip top condition. Ex-Grand Master Tuz's is another story though, his is lacking a head. Some bounty hunter choose to express his artistic ability by blasting it off. It is apparent from the outside that the security system is top of the line. Upon entering, this fact is only made clearer. There in the foyer is where the front desk is. All visitors must check in here before gaining access to enter further. Hanging on the walls of the enormous foyer are the portraits of the Commission Members and Support Positions. Up for display is also the Mentors Temple Plaque that has all of the College's graduates names engraved on it along with their team assignment and their ship's name. The Estate is made up of two levels. The first is the Communication/Information Level. This is the information hub for all of the Guild, all information is processed here and then sent out to the Commission, Mentors, etc. On this level is where the Guild Archive is located. Here all the important documents of a bounty hunter can be found. This level is where all of the paper work for the Guild is done. All bounty posts are first are received here, filed, and then distributed. The second level of the Estate is classified for only members that have security clearance. Up here each Commission and Support Position has their personal office to use when they are at the Estate. Also there several conference rooms on this level. The main conference room is where all of the important meeting are held. The docking bays are located in the rear of the Estate.  Under the heaviest of security is the Grand Master's Laboratory where he researches and conducts his experiments. Hardly anything is known about the laboratory.

The Myrddin Mountain rage is a place of great mystery and holds many secrets. Deep within the unnamed forests of this mountain range, on the planet of Ravoiun, is where Jade 'oh' Pi's Keep is believed to be hidden. This massive stone structure is enhanced by the technological advances of the Imperials. It is a hybrid of two civilizations, one long forgotten and one currently regaining strength and power after the death of the great Emperor. The exterior is that of an ancient stone keep. The stronghold's walls are constructed with stones of unknown origin. The interior is reinforced and equipped with Imperial technology. Over the course of time, the exterior in some areas has worn away revealing the metal under-structure. The deterioration showing the underneath only makes the structure appear more intimidating. There is really no way to put in words the feeling that is stirred up when looking at this awesome structure. The cold stone and even colder metal sends a chill deep into the heart. The dark essence that radiates from the keep only sends one message and that is: "If you are not welcomed, then do not proceed for doom follows." The inside of the Keep is even more of a mystery. The only known thing about the Keep is that it is the place where the bounty hunter Jade 'oh' Pi resides. Speculation and rumor has it that deep within the walls of the Keep is a huge study. This study supposedly contains vast amounts of knowledge, this knowledge is one way or another related to the Bounty Hunters Guild. What ever else that is inside is still unknown. To the east of the Keep is a three tiered waterfall that descends over 700 feet. At the bottom of the waterfall is a serene freshwater pond. Boulders and vegetation surround the pond. The tropical flowers of the forest are always in bloom. The colorful bright beauty of the waterfall enhances and only adds to the dark beauty of the Keep. Further exploration of the area will uncover only more mysteries.

Daichi is the Mentor's Earth Team, specializing in ground assault, subterranean, and high-gravity hunting for the Bounty Hunters Guild. Daichi Team Headquarters is located on the highest peak of Beowulf Summit, in the equatorial regions of Ravouin, in the Lyarna System. Beowulf Summit is almost perpetually hidden by fog cover, and is rarely visible from nearby peaks or the surrounding rain forest. Daichi Team also has a subterranean training compound in the high latitudes of the great Northern continent of Ravouin, and a high-gravity training compound on the massive, frigid planet Braaksma, also in the Lyarna System. Team facilities are supported through work by Team members and membership fees. Team members are responsible for reimbursing the Team Treasury for supplies consumed, and for any damage or wear to Team facilities or equipment -- after all, we don't have government tax collectors running around confiscating people's hard-earned money for our use.

Daichi Team Headquarters

Daichi Team Headquarters is a highly automated installation located high on Curran Peak, the highest peak in the Beowulf Summit. The Headquarters facility is a cylindrical maze of interconnected surface buildings and chambers bored into the living rock of the Peak. There are five levels. The first is only a few meters below ground level and is used for detoxification of planes, pilots and cargo. The second is for docking and transfer. The third level is quarters for members of the team who reside elsewhere. The fourth level includes the DAICHI information center and living arrangements for members who reside at headquarters (they usually work there). The fifth level is for meetings and other high-security stuff. There are also rooms in the case of a visit by officers of high rank. Security increases with each level, from minimal at the first level to extremely tight at level five.

There is one landing pad large enough to accommodate a bulk freighter, and a half-dozen smaller landing pads, each large enough for a stock light freighter or a few starfighters. Due to a shortage of clear, horizontal space on Curran Peak, most of the surface buildings are built into the side of steep slopes, or constructed on cantilevered platforms, as are the smaller landing pads. The large landing pad is located on a small plateau, adjacent to the majestic main entrance to the Headquarters facility. A relatively large, subterranean hangar bay is located in a broad, lush, highlands valley known as Laiche Valley, three kilometers below the Headquarters facility. The automated hangar bay is large enough to comfortably accommodate two dozen stock light freighters, or up to six bulk freighters, and includes a compact but sophisticated repair station. Equipped to perform any dry-dock repair procedure on a craft as large as a stock light freighter, the repair station is fully automated, requiring minimal supervision for most repair operations. A stock of common replacement parts is kept on-site, and specialized parts are readily available by shipment from Gawain. Although the hangar includes a small stock of speeder-bikes and two stormtrooper transports, the primary means of travel between the Laiche Valley hangar and Daichi Headquarters is an industrial turboshaft tube that provides comfortable and spacious transport.

Daichi Headquarters houses the primary research and computer database facility for Team Daichi, a visitor's center, and the primary training campus. Other facilities are the visitor's and team member's quarters, mess hall, and one of the finest droid-operated medical bays in the Outer Rim. The latter, of course, is necessitated by the dangers inherent in high-gravity and rough-country training exercises. Although Daichi Head-quarters serves as the primary base of operations for all members of Team Daichi, many members of the Team do not actually use the Headquarters as their primary place of residence, preferring to live on their ships or elsewhere on Ravouin. In addition, at any given time, there is generally at least one Team member at each of the two satellite Training Compounds and a few Team members out on hunts. Thus the reliance on droids and automation for the efficient functioning of the Headquarters and satellite Compounds, particularly since it is hard to find good help that a bounty hunter can trust ...

Team Daichi research facilities are highly automated and permanently staffed by special-purpose droids. The purpose of these facilities is not to develop leading-edge technologies, but rather to provide easy access to the latest technological developments for application to surface and subterranean hunting. With the appropriate clearance or supervision, Team members or hired consultants can use the automated production facilities and expert knowledge systems to develop sophisticated technological solutions to hunting problems of interest to Team members.

The computer database facility is constantly downloading and correlating information on all posted bounty subjects and their known associates. This allows Team members to quickly evaluate all readily accessible information about a particular subject without leaving an outside query trail that could be detected and traced by the quarry or by competing bounty hunters. The large amount of standard communications traffic to and from the database facility also makes it possible to insert non-standard queries or clandestine communications in the data stream with a reduced probability of detection.

The visitor's center contains a modern office suite staffed by protocol droids, and a conference room where VIPs can meet, Team members can assemble for briefings or lectures, or visitors can view multi-media presentations. The grand hallway leading to the conference room is lined with trophy and display cases, commemorating past hunts, and the conference table is constructed of a beautiful dark-grained hard wood -- not so uncommon on Ravouin, but genuinely impressive to visitors from the highly industrialized core worlds.

Training facilities include climbing shafts bored into the Peak, a high-gravity training facility, surface climbing areas, rugged mountain hunting areas, and jungle hunting areas in the rain forests surrounding the Summit. Save for periodic short courses taught by experienced team members or visiting lecturers, training is usually conducted on a self-study basis, using multi-media learning aids and hypno-learning sessions. Progress is objectively evaluated by droid instructors, in the absence of a supervising Team member. Field exercises are, of course, always conducted under the supervision of an experienced Team member.

Headquarters Security consists of sophisticated sensor arrays, shielded bunkers, and a moderate amount of fixed anti-personnel weaponry -- it is expected that team members themselves will be able to adequately protect the compound from any foreseeable ground assault. The Peak is primarily defended from aerial threats by six heavy turbo-laser batteries, four missile launcher batteries, and two ion-cannon batteries, all of which can auto-track incoming threats.

Electricity is provided by a fusion plant located deep within the Peak. Potable water and sewage services are provided by redundant systems. Open cisterns are located on the Peak to collect rainwater, which is processed and purified prior to delivery to the enclosed storage tanks. Storage capacity is about a week's worth of water for normal usage. The primary potable water plant is located in Laiche Valley, along with the primary sewage plant. Water and sewage lines run up to the peak, adjacent to the turboshaft tube, connecting the Headquarters to the automated water and sewage plants in Laiche Valley. There is also a backup sewage plant and integral hydroponics facility located on the Peak, making the Headquarters facility self-sufficient during emergency conditions.

Daichi Subterranean Training Compound

It never stops raining on some parts of Ravouin, but there are a few inland regions where rainfall is only an occasional occurrence. The Team Daichi Subterranean Training Compound is located high in the Northern hemisphere of the great Northern continent, on a high plateau that is surrounded by a ring of mountain ranges. Pillai's Plateau is an area of roughly 130 square kilometers, about 1,500 meters above sea level, that is shielded by the surrounding mountain ranges from moisture-laden storm fronts. Annual rainfall on the Plateau averages less than half a meter, due to the tendency for rainfall to occur on the outer slopes of the surrounding mountain ranges. Pillai's Plateau is home to approximately 750 plant species, 330 species of birds, 64 species of mammals, and 44 species of reptiles and amphibians. Many species of plants and animals around the compound are at the limits of their geographic distribution, including the northernmost colony of migratory cave Hirundinidae in this region of Lyarna. The Plateau is a region of rugged wilderness back country terrain, with jagged limestone outcrops and the prickly plant life that is representative of semi-arid ecologies.

The Subterranean Training Compound consists of a small lecture hall with conventional audio-visual aids, visitor's quarters, a simulated urban environment, and a small medical facility. A moderately sized landing pad is located half a kilometer Northeast of the compound, for use by visiting team members, and is accessible by an underground tunnel. The Compound has no permanent staff, aside from droids, and is built over the entrance to the K'halsbaad caverns, a vast labyrinth of limestone caves -- most of which have not yet been explored. This provides an outstanding arena in which to practice subterranean hunts. The K'halsbaad caverns are a heavily eroded portion of the Xhopeatayn Reef - one of the best preserved, exposed fossil reefs on Lyarna. Water, geologic forces, climate changes, and either vast time or massive cataclysm have produced the fossil reef and its spectacular caves. Desert hunt exercises are conducted on the Plateau, and urban training exercises are conducted in the simulated urban area within the Compound.

Security for the Compound consists of the surrounding four-meter plastcrete wall, sophisticated sensor arrays, a shielded bunker underneath the visitor's quarters, and a sufficient amount of automated anti-personnel weaponry to discourage ordinary trespassers. The automated defenses for the landing pad consist of a single heavy turbo-laser battery and a missile launcher battery. Electricity is provided by a small underground fusion plant. Potable water is provided by a well within the compound, and sewage is discharged into a frontier-type septic tank. The leach field for the septic tank is located under a small garden, tended by a farming droid.

Daichi High-Gravity Training Compound

High-gravity hunting, in excess of 1.5 standard gravities, is a difficult endeavor for most sentient species. Even for individuals whose bodily structure and metabolism can tolerate the stresses of high-gravity environments, it is often impractical to spend the weeks necessary to condition and adapt for such environments, and joint injuries are a frequent occurrence. Hence, it is common for Hunters to rely on powered exoskeletons for high-G hunting. The high-gravity training facility at Daichi Headquarters provides a variable artificial gravitational field for conditioning, mobility exercises, and exoskeleton familiarization. However, when it is time for high-G field exercises, Daichi members travel to the High-Gravity Training Compound on Braaksma. (see Braaksma section)

Meyu is the moon to the planet Ravouin. What is special about Ravouin's satellite is its magnificent ring system. It is important to note that the rings are not attached to the planet as many have made that mistake. After extensive study it was discovered that rock, frozen gases, and ice water make up the ring system. Meyu itself is a dark and foreboding planet with its very unstable and treating weather. Thunder storms, tornadoes and hurricanes are constant weather conditions on Meyu. Due to the heavy cloud cover the light from Zahnis never reaches the face of the planet, making it night one hundred percent of the time. What better of a place in the entire system then here to place the Mentors Temple.

Due to the extreme weather conditions (tornadoes, hurricanes, etc.) which exist on Meyu, most of the Mentor's Temple and Master Havikoog's personal quarters are underground to protect the Temple from the vicious winds generated by the planet's unstable climate. A large hangar bay with shield doors has been cut into the rock as well to house the craft of visitor's to the Temple. Master Havikoog's personal ship, the Na Frisealaich, is housed there. Since Meyu receives no sunlight due to the heavy cloud cover, an advanced lighting system has been installed to accurately simulate conditions provided by natural sunlight.

Master Havikoog's personal quarters, while a bit austere, are state of the art. He has an advanced communications center which enables him to stay in touch with Grand Master Royal on Ravouin as well as with all the Team Chiefs of the Mentors Temple. His personal computer center is the most advanced in the system, allowing Master Havikoog access to all necessary databases to ensure that the Mentors Temple Bounty Hunters have the latest information available to them concerning the BHG. Master Havikoog's personal quarters also include a computerized bar (Havikoog enjoys a good brew now and then) and his holographic projector for re-playing his favorite holograph recordings.

Having the entire system to use at their disposal the Mentors' Air Team makes its home here, for Meyu offers the most changeling air and wind conditions. This has encouraged us, the Kuko Mentor Team, to set up several "Cloud Cities." Each member of the KuKo team has control over one of these cities with the Team Chief having control over the capital. Each of these cities are able to purify the high concentrations of Tibanna Gas in the atmosphere making the cities defenses pretty much self sufficient. We use some of the best droids ever made to help run these cities. Though they are low in population that doesn't bother us because we usually use the cities for some drills. Most drills are held out in the atmosphere where the Mentors get the full feel of the air and low gravity. These conditions make this planet the best choice for the Kuko team.

The 'Dark Side of Roon' names what would be Meyu's darkside. This is where Geneva, High Master Ariel's castle, is located. Your face freezes as you look onto High Master Ariel's most elaborate castle. The darkness haunts you and you feel like you are being watched. The house is almost completely black, with a few windows and something that looks like two doors. It looks to be approximately 15 years old but, up-to-date with the most complete technology from around the world. Hundreds of wires run in and out from the second floor. They all connect to an electrical device of some kind carrying a wide range of information at the speed of light. The funding to keep this place up must come directly from the Emperor himself. You think to yourself, "this guy must be real bored when the power goes out." Further past his house in the distance you see the cave that Master Flame's Stone Fortress is located.

Just as you decide that this place is slightly too weird something catches your eye, a spark of electricity comes flying from the second story window. It appears as if High Master Ariel was trying to kill you with his T-3100 line ( latest technology, not even available to the normal consumer). You turn to run as a huge metal fence almost blocks you. You wonder, "why High Master Ariel would let you get out?" You turn around for one last look and notice it is completely gone, all you hear is the sound of laugher in the background. "Damn he's good!! At least now I know where all controls for the detailed Web page are done, behind closed doors."

Stone Fortress is old but, kept in well shape by me, Master Flame. I found it one time on a bounty. The fortress is surrounded by old Stone Walls that are thick and strong. I came upon this property by a bounty. The fortress is on part of Meyu that is dark, cold, and trapped in perpetual night. This would not bother me though. It was perfect. The Stone Fortress is protected by a large cave which soars above the old building. The spikes of the dark mountain hang above. Intruders are not looked on nicely. The Fortress has sustained the ever lasting extent of the Roon sea creeping up on towards the mountain.

Inside the great behemoth walls are buildings after buildings, mostly barracks. That once held mighty soldiers. In the center of the fortress is a Castle, where I like to make my home. Around the castle are courtyards and a small forest. Within many of the courtyards are many fountains and gothic statues which are priceless. Inside the Castle are many wonderful items from art, to weapons of all kinds, and Armor. The best part of it is the treasures that lie within the labyrinths of the castle.

The Fortress now is protected by a shield system and turbo laser cannons, which have been welded on the tops of the wall in case of any bombardment by any foe. If you are in the walls of the Stone Fortress than you are safe, but if you are left outside them, you have to fear the cold, death of the 'Dark Side of Roon'. This is definitely a perfect place for a Bounty Hunter to make their home.

The planet of Desalmado was located in a far, uncharted area of the Lyarna System when Alliance and Imperial scouts discovered it. They did not know that its orbit was pentagonal, and branded it an absolutely useless place to colonize. How they were wrong!! Many years after the fateful Battle of Endor, a group of bounty hunters were traveling through the area looking for a recently displaced attaché of their Grand Master, when they happened upon the planet to stop and look around.

It has been heavily recorded when the bounty hunters met the Desalmadons. The Desalmadons were a farming people, cool and relaxed, but they had a very wild and mischievous side to them. They welcomed the hunters to their home, but were very cautious. The last thing they wanted was military force from the Emperor's Hammer Fleet...they may have been located in a far, lonely area of space, but even the reputation of the Emperor's Hammer had reached their ears.

It was soon decided that the planet would provide agricultural goods to the Fleet, and that the planet be colonized. The Executor Andrew was sent to meet with the president of the planet. Needless to say, the Executor gave the president a offer he couldn't refuse, and the planet in its entirety was turned over the Emperor's Hammer.

Of course, there was the foolish few that fought to keep their independence from the Emperor's Hammer, but they were soon crushed by the Bounty Hunters Guild itself, the job easily done by a simple subgroup. The minor planet was divided into 25 provinces, each ruled by a governor appointed by the Hammer. The main city on the planet is the Port Royal, in the Grand Province, and is a bustling spaceport and command center for the Chief Governor. The city attracts interstellar commerce as well as all sorts of spacers looking for rest and relaxation after a long haul. The vast number of aliens and humans constantly moving through the spaceport, and it's foundation by bounty hunters, make the city a haven for all types of thieves, pirates, and smugglers. The city's old central section is laid out like a wheel, while the newer sections are formed into straight blocks of buildings. Instead of having a central landing area, the entire city is the spaceport, with crater-like docking bays scattered throughout Port Royal. Other principal cities include Mos Ariel, Trench Town, and, of course, the District of the Executor (The D.E.). Desalmado's two moons, Cuero and Desalmado Poco, are inhabitable and stale, overgrown asteroids. Many of the scum that come to the planet that are hiding from the law attempt to fly into the moon's holes to hide their ships. Unfortunately, too many of them don't make it, and end up chunks floating in space.

The forest moon of Gemelo Paraiso -- which means beautiful jewel -- is home of vast forests, a few surviving predator species, a was once home to thousands of tribal, tree-dwelling creatures. The moon, with its primeval forests and abundant wildlife, prompted early colonization/development by several competing corporations. The planet's 11 main continents are almost entirely covered by primeval forests, except for those in the south and north, which are very snowy and has little vegetation. The large trees, in the middle continents, however, are beautiful and majestic, towering high above the forest floor, their branches touching the sky, brushing the clouds in some instances. People who have climbed these trees have been known to suddenly stop, look around, and lavish for hours on end, looking over a sea of green leaves and at a totally beautiful blue sky with a sun faintly staring back at them. It was said that one tree climb would be so breathtaking, that a person could actually lose a sense of time and spend days up in a tree.

The Old Republic soon found out about the moon, and founded a plan of colonization. However, the paperwork and plans soon was lost in numerous mountains of paperwork, and was for a long time forgotten. Other people could not take advantage, however. Soon after the paperwork was lost, a meteor from a foreign galaxy hit the moon in one of it's blissful oceans, and the resulting force caused the moon to spin out of it's orbit. Numerous parties tried to locate the moon, but all were unsuccessful.

The moon had been thrusted in a orbit that landed behind the system's star, rotating in an orbit that made the star hide the moon. It was so close to the star where coronas were large and blinding. The coronas prevented anyone from seeing the moon with a naked eye, and sensors were thrown out of whack by the intense heat. For thousands and thousands of years, the paradise garden of Gemelo Paraiso was kept hidden from all outside contact.

After years of no outside help, many of the native inhabitants died off by war and famine. This caused even more of the moon's resources to grow. Finally, one day, a solitary smuggler on the run from various star systems was being chased by a large collection of law enforcers. He soon found himself in the moon's system and did a white-knuckled dive close to the star, hot flames of fire reached out and consumed the law enforcer's ships as they zoomed too close. The smuggler, however, was able to avoid the inferno and escaped through a loophole. He didn't expect a moon on the other side of the star and quickly crashed into it. His ship was damaged badly, but, over a few years, he was able to rebuild his ship and depart. He was hesitant to leave the wonderful land, but he had a bounty on his head and wanted to repay it. He was not as lucky, however, and was soon captured by Imperial Bounty Hunters. He pleaded for his life and pleaded with the Hunters to bring him to Grand Master Royal. He had the foolish thought that if he told the Grand Master about Gemelo Paraiso he would be spared. He was allowed to tell the Grand Master, but, of course, was soon executed and the yet another stream of credits flowed in to the Guild...

The Grand Master had been thinking at this time about a great many things. One was the lack of the infamous bounty hunter, Boba Fett, who, after escaping from the Great Pit of Carkoon on Tatoonie, put all his attention on finding Han Solo and Princess Leia Organa. The Grand Master wanted Boba Fett on every job, but he knew that Fett couldn't be everywhere at once; or so was thought, until someone suggested the idea of cloning.

Quickly after the proposition was proposed, the Grand Master sent a group of Bounty Hunters to the Sarlacc to find some pieces of DNA. Of the six that went, only one survived and lives today...if his physical state could be accurately termed "living." But the mission was a success, and Fett's DNA was collected and brought back safely, and that's all that matters in this business. Soon, numerous scientists in the field of cloning all over the universe started to disappear. Hundreds of Wookies were enslaved by the Guild to construct a top secret base on the moon and, of course, the Grand Master's penthouse lakeside near the most beautiful spot in the forest (and were paid with blaster shots through their heads afterwards).

Sadly, the cloning experiments did not proceeded too well. Boba Fett #10 for example, was created with twelve navels and eleven nipples, and Boba Fett #22 was created with two heads and no legs, and Boba Fett #34 escaped and was able to hijack a shuttle and had allegedly been captured by a traveling circus and placed in its freak show. Imperial hunters were able to recover him after a fierce firefight, considering #34 had twenty-eight arms and was able to fire off a barrage of laser fire. But when his power packs ran out, the lack of feet enabled it to be quickly overtaken. After these disasters, the cloning facilities were officially labeled an ecological and biological hazard. This was a crushing blow for the Empire, who had hoped to use the cylinder to clone copies of their best Dark Jedi. But so long after the Clone Wars, it is very hard to effectively make a clone of anything. The search for working cloning cylinders continues.

Braaksma exists in a near constant ice age. Sever ice storms and blizzards torment the surface of the planet. The land of the planet is in a condition of tundra and permafrost. The free flowing water on the planet has created great ice caverns and catacombs.

It was with disappointed hearts (but willing to serve ones) that the members of the Mizu Team of the Imperial Bounty Hunter's Guild set up their base on the giant ice cube known as Braaksma. It had immense water galore, in all shapes and forms. There was pure unmelted water flowing in small streams in the equator of the planet, where it became the hottest (from 8°C to 10°C). There was also the large abundance of it in the form of ice and snow of course. Water vapor was even present; there were a few spectacular frozen ice geysers on the direct line of the equator, which were known to belch out some steam from time to time, along with clumps of ice shards and snowballs. It was ideal for the Team, of course, and they knew it would serve them well. Frostbite was just going to have to be another part of their lives.

They decided to set up base in a giant glacier that was a few miles from the equator. They hired a few workers who were dumb enough to accept the job to hollow the glacier out, which they did, though not as many left Braaksma as those who came. They named the glacier Tethy, after one of the Mentor's grandmothers.

Tethy itself rests next to a 1,000-kilometer long chasm in the planet's southern hemisphere. A giant waterfall flows from a river that comes from the equator, and the fall's water streams to the bottom, and is kept in its liquid state due to the immense pressure of the two opposing cliff faces. Several other glaciers, slowly sliding into the chasm's depths, harbor algae and burrowing, algae-feeding ice worms.

The base inside Tethy was set up for adequate needs. After entering through a fairly large door at the base of the glacier, one enters a large warehouse-like room, scattered with tables and chairs for the Mentors eat their meals at, play sabacc, plan raids, and other such things to do to keep themselves busy. On the left side of the room there lies a huge bulletin board, covered with memorandum from their chief, Sirrus, and countless posters of assorted scum with bounties on their heads. Needless to say, lots of posters of targets go down and more come up with each acquisition, occurring around the minute.

On the right wall lies countless pictures of infamous bounty hunters, such as Boba Fett, Bossk, Zuckuss and 4-LOM, among others, including the Bounty Hunter Guild's honorable commission members. These pictures stand as reminders for how the Bounty Hunters must keep their heads up high and stand the immense tundra to show the rest of the galaxy what proud pieces of dangerous ramblers they are. However, many of the more glamorous images of Fett and Grand Master Royal have been replaced with pictures of Master Jade 'oh' Pi. Apparently, the Mentors spend a great deal admiring Jade's pictures than others, and morale has been high due to it....

The northwest corner leads to the bathrooms, which is rather poorly kept, since the sanitation droids usually freeze up from time to time due to the extreme frost. However, the problem is relieved every Saturday and Thursday, which are the big sabacc tournaments between the Mentors, with the losers having to clean the toilets.

In the northeast of the room is a long stairway which leads to eight different rooms which have been hollowed in Tethy for the Mentors to rest in. Each room is 10 x 15 feet. A moderately-sized bed is placed in the middle of the loft, against the opposite wall with a table on each side. The table on the left side is equipped with a lamp and manuals of the Bounty Hunter's Guild (The Ways of the Bounty Hunter, The IRC Hunts Guide, the Bounty Hunter Manual, etc.) along with room for personal items.

On the right table is a monitor which usually displays images "borrowed" from a Imperial satellite over Ravouin. Sadly, most images are rambled and scrambled and generally in poor quality. Fortunately, enough of the Mentors have supplier of taped shows sent in by old flames and friends. Sadly, watching the same show gets tiresome, so every once and a while, the Team goes to Gawain or Port Royal to catch a flick at the Megaplex. The rooms are also stationed with the standard dressers and closets. Mizu Chief Sirrus's room differs little from his fellow Mentor's rooms, with the exception that it's at the tip of the iceberg and has a window, which over looks the great chasm, and the water below.

It should also be noted that he and the other Mentors usually are not present at their base, except for when they are planning on making something or targeting a bounty. Sirrus himself has been known to avoid Braaksma by sleeping his ship, the Dog Star II, in orbit, unless required below. Other Mentors have followed suit.

The team has adapted to the harsh climate rather well, but the same cannot be said about their machinery. Their ships are stationed in docking bays made from a glacier, and have been protected with utmost security as to not freeze them. Since speeders have not been modified for them yet, the Team has received a number of specially adapted tauntauns as mounts in the very few cases at which they have to go out on the cold icy plains. There is also a band of Wampa hunters that stalk the beast and have made a profitable industry of selling the animal for its fur, meat, and other parts as goods.

Daichi High-Gravity Training Compound

Braaksma is a frigid ice-world, much like Hoth, but with a 2.4-G surface gravity. Most heavy worlds have suffocatingly thick atmospheres -- an advantage being that a higher oxygen content helps carbon-based life forms metabolize at the accelerated rates required for strenuous activities in high-G environments, and the primary disadvantage being the extremely severe wind storms that occur in dense atmospheres. Braaksma, however, has an atmospheric pressure that is only 20% greater than Standard, perhaps due to a reduced level of volcanism in the planet's youth. Free water is scarce on Braaksma, most of the surface water being bound up in ice sheets and snow, so that atmospheric precipitation is a rare event. The Braaksman ecology is therefore extremely arid, and the largest known carnivore is the Wampa ice creature. The Wampa is probably not native to Braaksma, and closely resembles the Wampa ice creature found on Hoth, save that the Braaksman variety is considerably shorter and stockier, tending toward an average height of only 1.8 meters but massing the same as the Hoth Wampa. The Braaksman Wampa is an impressively powerful beast, but its high-G environment exacts a terrible cost. Autopsies of Braaksman Wampas indicate that their lifespan is only about half that of the Hoth variety, and they suffer high incidence of rheumatoid arthritis, aneurysms, strokes, high blood-pressure, and broken bones. Cold-blooded life forms are virtually non-existent on Braaksma, and warm-blooded creatures tend to be built for quick bursts of speed, rather than endurance. A sound adaptation, since the relatively thin atmosphere is not conducive to aerobic activities.

The High-Gravity Training Compound is similar in construction to the Subterranean Training Compound on Ravouin, although the medical facility is considerably more advanced, rivaling that at Daichi Headquarters, due to the travel time required to reach the next nearest medical facility outside the Compound. Visitor's quarters are also equipped with adjustable gravitational dampers, to allow a much needed respite from the crushing surface gravity. Droid-operated snow movers keep the compound, the landing pad, and the surrounding area clear of wind-blown snow. Potable water is acquired by processing snow, and sewage is handled in a self-contained system that incorporates a hydroponics garden.

A popular hunting exercise involves stalking and killing a Wampa ice creature, armed only with a vibro-axe, although some of the more skilled, senior members -- true "artists" -- have been known to stalk Wampa armed only with a vibro-shive. Another popular exercise involves finding and infiltrating a Wampa lair, tranquilizing the beast with a short-range dart-thrower, and taking one of it's claws. We haven't lost that many Apprentices, and the survivors achieve a true sense of accomplishment.

Braaksma's moon Alyc is a lifeless globe of rock. Its only surface features are numerous craters and plummeting canyons that appear to be bottomless. The only thing worthy of residing on this barren moon is the inactive Bounty Hunters that make up the Reform Wing of the Nideavoot Tsayad Bounty Hunter College. There are 25 Guards that watch over and keep order of the Reform Wing Complex. The Reform Wing Complex is designed to house the inactive hunters, not to imprison them. The guards are there just to make sure that things are going smoothly and to discourage any radical behavior. After inactive bounty hunters have been at the Reform Wing for an extended amount of time they are disposed of. There are two ways that these individuals are usually disposed of. The first is plain execution and the second is to be used in training exercise, for the students of the College and Mentors, as live targets.

Tempestuous is the first totally artificial planet. All aspects of the atmosphere can be changed from the Platform Talon. Because of this unique ability, the BHG uses the planet to train its bounty hunters in the field. Among these skills are marksmanship, high speed speeder chases and stealth. The Platform Talon is equipped with four squadrons. One squadron of A-Wings, one squadron of B-Wings, one squadron of TIE Defenders and one squadron of Missile Boats. These squadrons are not used for attack, only used for defending the platform. No capital ships are normally docked at Talon.

The designs for this planet were based on the Death Star plans. The plans were scaled down, and all of the weaponry was removed. Then, advanced environmental controls were embedded into the surface. In orbit, several environmental control nets were put in place to control the weather (rain, snow, clouds, etc.). Finally, powerful thrusters were added to allow the planet to move, change tilt, length of day, etc.

The asteroid field Darkonis is home to one of the most advanced Imperial Surveillance Posts. The surveillance posts are on the asteroids, and the asteroids are surrounded by incredibly powerful shields. Darkonis has no defensive perimeters and no starfighters. It is reliant on the asteroids to hit enemy ships while they bombard the shields. In order to change crews, each member must be able to fly a specially modified TIE fighter. All of the offensive weaponry has been removed, the fins have been made smaller, and the shields and the engines have been upgraded. When it clears the asteroid field, it will meet with the its mothership. Each outpost contains the most advanced and up to date equipment. The sensors can detect ships in all of the Emperor's Hammer territories, and a bit more. And utilizing new technology, the outposts can track ships in hyperspace. However, this is only possible if the sensors were tracking the ship before it entered hyperspace. Also, the Emperor's Hammer and all of its subgroups do live training exercises, such as flying from one end of the asteroid field to the other. This asteroid field lies beyond the artificial planet Tempestuous.
