The 15 km long SSSD Sovereign. In orbit above Eos, Aurora System, made by pirrell@castle.net
The Emperor's Hammer has stretched its mighty arm here in the Outer Rim. Our vaste military forces have managed to subdue eight star systems. The Emperor's Hammer generally maintains a low profile in galactic politics as the attention of either the New Republic or the other Imperial factions would have previously been detrimental to our survival. However, with the arrival of our new flagship (the SSSD Sovereign, and a Roster listing thousands of TIE Pilots and SubGroup Members, the Fleet Commander has ordered moderate expansion within the Outer Rim Territories to solidify the power base and provide additional resources for the Fleet. The eight star systems under our control are Aurora, Phare, Setii, Carrida, Lyarna, Heir, Pirath, and Karana.
Aurora
The following presents a detailed description of the secret Aurora System located in the Outer Rim Sector, as originally created by RBKugel and revised by the former Auroran Planetary Governor, Pendragon (PGPendragn@aol.com) and the Fleet Commander (GARonin@aol.com). The Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet has made the Aurora System its primary base of operations and its homeworld...In light of the recent anarchy in the Empire, Aurora is continually kept well hidden (via natural occurring particulate matter in-system and several well-placed gravity well stations) from BOTH the New Republic and the Empire...
Aurora System serves as the "capital" and homeworld for the Emperor's Hammer...The Triad Platforms, the Fleet Commander's Palace, Dark Hall of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, the High Court of the Inquisitors, the Home Guard BattleGroup, the Hall for the Dark Jedi Clan Alvaak, and a new branch of the Imperial Academy are located in the Aurora System...The Fleet Commander has also authorized the new Moff of Aurora to expedite the completion of construction of New Imperial City on Aurora Prime, a new capital city befitting the status of our Imperial might...
Phare
The Phare System (created by GARonin@aol.com) was recently taken from an opposing Imperial faction by the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet in EH Combined Arms Battle #3 for the EH (see Newsletter Nos. 28, 29 and 30)...Its resources and abundant native populations make it an ideal system for the Fleet to exploit and control...
The Phare System provides most of the resources for the Emperor's Hammer Fleet's material needs...Stationed on the PLT Haven in-system, the Moff of Phare System keeps a close eye on the various Corporate interests and the Corporate Platforms planets in-system...Visitors to this system should be warned...Each Corporate Picket Fleet is equipped with at least one Victory-Class Star Destroyer, Cruiser or Frigate and two TIE Squadrons/each for protection of the various smaller Corporate platforms, bases, production facilities, factories and Corporate ships in the system...Corporate Fleets have been known to be over-zealous in the protection of their Claims...In addition, the highly respected Imperial Weapons and Tactics School (IWATS) is based in the Phare System...
Setii
As the Fleet grows, so do the numbers of our enemies who seek our destruction. Consequently, guided by the Imperial Survey Corps, the High Inquisitor (HIPaladin@aol.com) has commissioned the design and construction of the Emperor's Hammer prisons in the nearby Setii System. Although the High Court of the Inquisitors is located in New Imperial City on Aurora Prime, the prisoners, traitors, rebels and troublemakers are typically sent to Setii to serve out their sentences.
Carrida
The Carrida System (created by jaseod@sydney2.world.net, discovered by auyeun@interlog.com and edited herein by GARonin@aol.com) houses the Emperor's Hammer/Hammer's Fist Stormtrooper Legion Training Facilities...Due to the extremes in climatic and gravity conditions in-system, Carrida presents an excellent training facility for the Hammer's First Stormtrooper Legion...
Lyarna
The Lyarna System was the home of the former Bounty Hunter's Guild. Now with it's merger to the Smuggler's Guild forming "The Guild", Lyarna has become the base of operations for both Subgroups. In these days of political insecurity after the Battle of Endor, the Imperial factions have increasingly reverted to the use of hired guns to achieve their goals. The Guild has become an increasingly important part of the New Order.
Heir
The Hier System was the isolated base of the Smugglers' Guild of the Emperor's Hammer. Now after it's merger with the Bounty Hunter's Guild, the Heir System still is home to many smuggling operations, and still has many of the remnants of the old organization. Here, traders and merchants from all across the Outer Rim visit to conduct business and indulge in the extravagances of the planet Dar and the PLT Sern...
Pirath
The Pirath System (Based on concept by Dengar1010@aol.com, 1997) is a nearby system approximately 180 light years coreward of the Minos Cluster. Pirath holds valuable metallic and Tibanna Gas mining operations, a moon once inhabited by Dark Jedi Sith exiles, and a reportedly stable wormhole leading to the Inner Core. As you read this Imperial Survey Corps report, be advised that Imperial Survey Corps personnel are already enroute to this interesting system as well as two of our finest stormtrooper garrisons. The native Hirani seem placid and the Fleet Commander has reportedly taken a personal interest in this system.
Karana
Engaged in a cruel civil war, the native humanoid Karanans, have surrendered quickly to the superior forces of the Emperor's Hammer Fleets. A wealth of minerals and economic resources, tens of millions of native Karanans as an Imperial workforce, and the presence of the mysterious Kaiburr Crystals make this system a worthwhile acquisition for the Emperor's Hammer. Now to seal control over this area, Karana has become the homebase of the Emperor's Hammer Infiltrator Wing. Here The Rebel contingent of the Empire has achieved complete military control.
Hyperion
Hyperion is a huge yellow giant star surrounded by the orbiting debris of a violent past. Three large planetary bodies were present (Hyperion I, II, and III). However, thousands of slightly and much smaller planetoids were also present. Although most of these asteroids could not support life, several dozen exhibit gravity and atmospheres acceptable for human life, albeit not a comfortable on most. The tremendous radiation and heat generated by Hyperion warmed the asteroids and life was certainly present on several of them.
Minos Cluser
The Minos Cluster, on the fringes of known space, has only been recently been colonized and has not yet been subjugated by the Empire or the New Republic...As an isolated star cluster near the Borderlands Regions between the Empire and the Rebellion, Minos offers either side an excellent strategic base from which to attack the other... In recent times, the valiant forces of the Hammer has gained control over these systems in a series of bloodly battles.
Lyccos
The Lyccosian star is currently in the waning millennia of its existence, as the Lyccosian star (called "Veriats" by the local colonists) is a rapidly expanding red giant. When colonization of this system and the others in the Minos Cluster was initiated by the Empire about 75 years ago, two remaining planets were identified in the system, Lyccos I and Lyccos II. Each of these have apparently had their entire ecologies and terrains completely overturned during the past 10,000 years as searing heat and radiation relentlessly continues to expand through the system with the Veriats' corona. The Imperial Survey Corps scientists who first studied this system for potential colonization suspected that an ancient, pre-Old Republic civilization existed on Lyccos II. Lyccos I, a small planetoid located in an orbit of approximately 0.05 AUs, is already slowly spiraling to its destruction towards the ever-expanding Veriats gas giant. Even in protected domed environments, life on Lyccos I is not possible due to the extreme heat and radiation planetside (Imperial recon droids had recorded temperatures above 900°C on its surface prior to their own destruction from the searing heat). Within the next one or two thousand years, Lyccos II with all its ancient treasures, is anticipated to suffer the same fiery fate. But before this eventuality, the Imperial Survey Corps has recommended limited colonization of the system to exploit any remaining natural resources and to allow Imperial archaeologists time to study the ancient civilization found on Lyccos II...
Yridia
The Yridia system was colonized about 40 years ago in an attempt to bring more mineral resources to the Empire's war machine. Imperial colonists, backed by the might of the Imperial Navy, quickly set up colonies, mines and factories to produce these materials and ship them back to the Inner Core Worlds of the Empire. Unfortunately, the colonists that the Empire selected for immigration were far from the elite of Imperial society. In fact, the Empire apparently selected colonists for Yridia II to rid itself of approximately one million ideological sociopaths, misfits and malcontents and sent them far away to the Outer Rim. Although the system has never been listed on any star charts as a penal colony, it has certainly become one. With minimal Imperial or even Corporate contact, the colonists of Yridia II were essentially abandoned.
Lantare
The Lantare System is something of a hidden commodity in the Minos Cluster. Although not technologically wealthy or rich in resources, the Lantare Colonists are fiercely independent to ANY rule other than their own. Approximately two months ago, the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet established two standard Imperial Garrisons in the largest colony, Jaggerbund...However, the Imperial influence realistically extends only to the ramparts of this one settlement. The rest of the planet is free of Imperial rule and considered quite savage.
Dar'Telis
The Dar'Telis System is home to one known habitable planet, Dar'Telis I, according to the official Imperial Survey Corps Holonet Database. However, to the dwellers of the Minos Cluster, this system is simply referred to as "Tyrranus"...A dreaded place, the Dar'Telis System is avoided by all but the crazed or the foolhardy. However, it is rumored that some of the lesser known and more desperate smugglers and independent light freighters have made not only successful, but remarkably profitable runs to the Dar'Telis System. Apparently, the Tyrranians are hungry for exotic metals and modern technologies. The Tyrranians were a relatively introverted species until the arrival of the Empire 72 years ago...A word of caution, most who enter the Dar'Telis System tend not to return...
