FCHG Proposal
By Fleet Admiral Dev
INTRODUCTION
This proposal would redefine the purpose as well as the organization of the Fleet Commanders Honor Guard, turning it from a passive few letters on an ID line to an activity-promoting integral part of the Tie Corps. While there are several activities that come to mind as being appropriate for the FCHG, the one that would probably be the most prominent would be the completion of battles. The new FCHG would be under the aegis of several officers-- the OPS would maintain the overall structure and deal with proposed modifications, the TO would approve the FCHG contests, and an Operations Assistant would maintain the roster and see to the individual completions of battles and other day to day managerial tasks. FCHG membership would carry benefits, such as FCHG-only awards as well as other possibilities such as FCHG contests. Also, note the new requirements have free mission requirements removed, because of the tiny number of free missions being produced today. Also created will be FCHG-only battles, frequently with the theme of ‘protect the Grand Admiral’, or doing special tasks for the Fleet Commander, fitting in with the idea of the FCHG carrying out important duties for the GA. These FCHG specific battles will count as two battles for the purposes of FCHG rank promotion (see ACTIVITIES).
ORDERS
A system would be implemented whereby ‘Orders’ can be formed of several members. An Order would require 8 supporters, and the name would have to fit in with the idea of guarding the FC. These Orders would compete for points in the FCHG competitions, getting points for each victory with high scores and activity. The Order with the most points would be the First Order.
ACTIVITIES
The following system would be implemented to gain FCHG ranks:
One point:
Complete an Emperor’s Hammer Strike Fleet battle
Two Points:
Design a battle for the Emperor’s Hammer
Complete a FCHG specific Emperor’s Hammer battle
Three Points:
Submit a high score for a EH or FCHG battle [not retroactive]
Four Points:
Submit an approved work of fiction of not less than 600 words
Design an approved FCHG battle
Five Points:
Be part of the winning First Order after a FCHG Competition
Ten Points:
Get the highest score on the selected battle during a FCHG competition
Win the story competition during a FCHG competition
Win the battle competition during a FCHG competition
COMPETITIONS
Competitions would be arranged on a monthly or bimonthly basis, consisting of two divisions of two parts each. The Single division would be for entries from individuals for the highest score, best story, and best battle. The Order division would be for the 3 highest entries from each Order on the selected battle, the best story, and the best battle design. In the Single division, the winners would get 10 FCHG points, and in the Order division, winning the victory with the highest scores on the battle would be worth 35 competition points (the Order with the most winning), the story 25, and the battle design 30. Each submission from an Order member would add an additional 2 competition points.

CONCLUSION
The Tie Corps doesn’t have any regular activity promoting activities. Fleetwide contests are sporadic at best. This proposal would create an organization for pilots that would encourage activity and competition.
