Changes Galore! 

The Guild is undergoing a period in which it will see some of the biggest changes since the merging of the Bounty Hunters’ Guild and the Smugglers’ Guild! Many of these changes are actually happening today, while this is being written, so this report will cover what has been accomplished, what is being accomplished, and what will be accomplished. 

In The Past Week 

Much progress was made in this past week. This includes: 

• The Guild’s AOL message board now stands at 82 posts, second only to the main Emperor’s Hammer board! It is thus the most active out of all of the subgroup message boards on AOL, and has increased in size tenfold in the past two weeks.
• The six CAG positions, identical to the CA job in the Tie Corps, were consolidated into three more useful positions. They are the Tactical Assistant (TA), in charge of slot machine files, sabacc files, and message board postings, the Administrative Assistant (ADA), in charge of helping with the roster, and the Aviation Assistant (AVA), in charge of the ever-popular Guild Shipyard. The TA was given to Peacfull Death, former CAG:DP, the ADA given to Imp22, former CAG:U, and the AVA to Astatine, former CAG2:TACT.
• The Guild’s honor guard, tentatively named the League of Advocates, was formed, and Count Tad was given the command of this honor guard and the position of Lord Advocate. The League of Advocates’ purpose is to promote activity within the Guild, and its members shall be assigned with duties to achieve this purpose.
• A new set of the ever-popular online missions was released, and results for the previous set were also published. The roster was updated to reflect this.
• Trivia questions were asked at the Guild meeting, an activity which is under consideration for future use.
• The Specialist experimented with IRC scripts, including a slot machine game, which was used at the meeting, and a bartender script, tested in #The_Guild recently.

Happening TODAY! 

As you read this, the Commission is frantically working on many changes which will not only aid the Guild now but also straighten out the groundwork for our future.  

• The Guild is completely overhauling the system of credits. We are downsizing the entire credit system so as to make the shipyard prices coordinate with standard West End Games prices. The rank requirements are also being changed to make it harder to gain rank. This should make that event more unique for members.
• The roster is being completely updated to reflect all of these changes.
• The manual is also being completely updated to reflect the changes.
• The Guild webpage is being given another completely new look. 

These changes will make the Guild a more exciting, active, and dynamic place to be.

Membership Update 

The membership numbers prove that change is good! Last week at this time the Guild had 911 members. Despite the loss of those in the nCSA as well as some cleaning out of the mentor organizations, we still managed to jump a very encouraging 15 members to a total of 926.  

With the Guild nearing a level of activity it has never seen, the galaxy is discovering that it is truly the place to be.

Despite all of the wonderful changes being initiated, this is no time for us to rest on our laurels. We still have many exciting projects in the works, such as: 

• Publicizing promotions and giving great credit to the organization to which the member being promoted belongs.
• Workshops and competitions to hone the skills of all the organizations until they reach a level of competition where it will be appropriate to restart the Temple Games, only on an Olympic scale.
• Adaptation of The Guild’s medal board to work with the completely automated one set up by Fleet Admiral Dev.
• Integration of the Guild with:
• the EH MUD
• the Fringe
• Updating the Lyarna system, which has already been declared the most detailed system in the Systems Manual by the Grand Moff, to reflect its present state and accommodating the changes being initiated in the Systems Manual.
• Floor plans of the Commission offices.
• Suits of armor/dress uniforms.
• Outreach to the Emperor’s Hammer to make The Guild more known and more recognized within the fleet.
• As always, recruitment.
