Once upon a time, in far off Japan, a band of fierce robbers had their hiding
place on top of a mountain almost always covered with grey clouds, windswept
and battered by storms. The robbers lived in a large cave where they had
piled their spoils. Now and again, they went down the mountain, attacked a
village, murdered the poor folk they chanced upon, stole whatever they could
lay hands on and burned it to the ground. Wherever the robbers passed, there
was nothing but smoking ruins, weeping men and women, misery, mourning and
desolation. The Emperor, worried at this, had sent his soldiers to attack the
mountain, but the robbers had always managed to drive them off. The Emperor
sent for one of the last remaining Samurai, old Raiko, and said to him:
"Raiko, you've served me for many years. Do my bidding for one last time. Go
to the mountain at the head of an army and wipe out these bloodthirsty
bandits." Raiko sighed. "Your Majesty, if I were young again I'd do it alone.
Today I'm too old, far too old to do that, or to command an army."
"Must I then," said the Emperor, "submit to the force of these marauding
robbers?" The old Samurai replied:
"No, I'll go up there with six Samurai like myself."
"But if they're all as old as you, how can they help you?"
"Have faith in us!" said Raiko.
A few days later, the seven Samurai set off on their journey, not with
horses, swords, shields and armour, which they could no longer have worn
anyway, but dressed as humble pilgrims. From the summit, the bandits watched
them come, and their leader said, "Who cares about seven beggars. Let them
climb up." The seven reached the cave and Raiko humbly said, "Let us come in,
it's cold outside. There's a wind blowing and we, as you can see, are old
men. We'll be no trouble to you." The leader of the gang scornfully replied:
"Come in, old men, and stay in a corner." And so. the seven pilgrims huddled
in a corner while the bandits ate their meal of food stolen from the villages
nearby.
Now and again, they threw scraps of food and leftovers to the old men,
saying: "Eat this, and it is much too good for you." A few hours later,
Raiko rose to his feet saying:
"The wind has dropped. We can go on our way. In thanks. for your hospitality,
we would like to offer you this liqueur, it is sake, rice wine. Drink our
health with it." The robbers needed no second telling. In the blink of an
eye, they had emptied the goatskin bottle Raika held out to them. And in the
blink of an eye they all lay dead, for the sake contained a very potent
poison.
And so, the seven Samurai, too old to wield a sword, served the Emperor for
the last time.
Never met real parents. Had recurring dreams of a fiery death in a weird
environment with HUDs. Partially changed to Cyborg by their experiments.

Out in the pilot hangar, a lone figure stands. Wrinkle creases appear
clearly on his face even though he's only 22 standard years old. He feels
like a hundred years old inside. He close his eyes and all of a sudden,
his vision shattered into a thousand fragments........
Out in the familiar cockpit, red and green streaks of laser flashes past his
TIE Defender. The roar of the battle resonates in his ears. Then he heard
some familiar voice transmitted SOS. Before he could go to his assistance,
the comlink came back with static. Too many new enthusiastic pilots had lost
their lives in this conflict. Way too many, he sighed.
GN Jupiter is a seasoned pilot who went through numerous battles and attended
as many funerals. He knew better than to become attached to his wingman.
But that was before he joined the Emperor's Hammer.
Ever since being assigned to the Cyclone Squadron, he could not help but like
those fellow flight members. All of them are seasoned top ace pilots like
himself. None seems destined for too short a career. However, being elite,
the mission profile is starting to look ridiculous. Taking on a full fighter
complement Calamari with a single squadron isn't the best of ideas not to say
that sometimes, the odds are worst. One by one, the squad members goes on
permanent 'leave' till the squad is decimated to 8 or so members. Talks of
chickening out seems to be the order of the day. However, as responsible
pilots, none have done so.
That has changed. The last mission involves heavy assault so daring and
foolhardy that FL GN Levent and several others resigned. As for our squad
commander, BG Drakon, he became very reluctant in sending us to our death
and considered resignation. The situation looks bad and seems to become
worse with time.
GN Jupiter stared again at the latest mission from the Command, hoping
against hope that somehow it would look different. It didn't. He is now
burdened with the task of disclosing the bad news to his squad as BG Drakon
went on temporary leave. Transmission as follows:
Thunder squad is tied up with a capture mission in another sector. Cyclone
is to lead a capture and destruction team to destroy 1 Ukian Calamari,
3 Escort Cruiser and capture 6 Corvettes. Full complements of Starfighter
defense expected. Rebel's presence not improbable. Mission success crucial
to bigger strategic success. Must be done within the week. Good luck.
Climbing into the cockpit had almost become a reflex for all of them. Each
of the members exchange the customary good wishes and smile. However,
beneath the facade, GN Jupiter felt a tinge of fear and desperation on their
face. Being Force sensitive, he know well that it is not just his
imagination.
His vision suddenly shifted and a nauseatic wrench pulls him back to reality.
But which reality? The Force has mess up his sense of past, present and
future. He now find himself in the cockpit of the TIE Defender...
A laser beam shaves past the solar panel of his Defender. Way too close for
comfort. He banks his TIE Defender with trained control. The Defender bank
and roll beautifully to break away from the tailing A-Wing's line of fire.
The A-Wing pilot tried to pull a similar stunt and went into a uncontrolled
spin. That's one down.
Before the smile fade from his mouth, GN Uberwan called for cover. Some
pesky A-Wings got on his tail and launched some missiles to his exhaust.
All of sudden, one A-Wing went up in flame. From within the A-Wing's
expanding cloud of debris emerged GN Kumba's Missile Boat. Then another
A-Wing turn into a fireball. Flight leader GN Gorty in a TIE Advanced heard
the distress and came to assistance. Warming to their friendly gesture,
GN Uberwan fried the remaining A-Wings on his tail.
From afar, the sky is punctuated by beautiful streaks of green and red. Small
kaleidoscopic flares shows up to mark the where starfighters were.
Starfighters twist and turn gracefully like playful birds of preys.
However, theirs is a game of life and death.
After an hour of dogfighting, the Cyclone squadron emerged unscathed. Now,
they turn towards the target of their mission.
'This is BG Drakon. Flight one missile boats , switch to heavy rockets.
Target Calamari Kulsa and fire at will when locked. Flight two TIE Advanced,
engage lasers and stay on escort of Flight one. Flight three, put to full
throttle and distract capital ship's turbolasers. Over'
The missile lock turns red. Volleys of heavy rockets launched homed in on
the Calamari Kulsa. At the same instant, the CRL fired dozens of advanced
missiles to intercept. All but 5 heavy rockets were intercepted. The
incoming missile alert starts to wail. The CRL is firing missiles at Flight
one now! One missile boat went up in a burst of flame and the entire flight
break formation to evade the missiles. Flight 2 tried their best to shoot
down the missiles and the strike force goes into disarray.
'This is Flight 3 Leader GN Jupiter, the CRL has not notice us. We're going
in to destroy the missile launchers. FM 2 and 3 take down the portside
launcher while FM 4 and myself will take the starboard'
Going at maximum sublight speed a Defender could muster, we triggered the
fire button at 2.5 klicks from target. The CRL suddenly realized what we're
doing and launch missiles to intercept. They're too late. One torpedo slams
in and sends blue crackle as the CRL's shield weakens. Another slams in and
empty space occupies where the starboard launcher was.
There's only static. Incoming missile alert wailed and before I recover from
the shock, a missile slammed in. One of my three solar panel become a
tangled mess of wires. System failure flashes on the screen and eject button
goes red. Another wail sound and I close my eyes to await death.
Only a slight jolt from the exploding missile was felt. Flight 2, GN Gorty
intercepted the missile with a laser. During the distraction by my flight,
BG Drakon ordered Flight 1 and 2 to assist. More heavy rockets crashes into
the CRL forfeiting its shield. FM4 uses ion cannon to jam the CRL system but
collides when his Defender went out of control. A few more rockets sealed
the fate of the CRL. It's explosion can be heard miles away and temporarily
blinded the entire Cyclone squad.
The repair droid sounds a affirmative beep. My flight and targeting system
came back online. Now for the Escort Carriers. As they are without advanced
missile launchers, they're no match for the present Cyclone squadron. One
by one, they join the ranks of those deceased.
The shields of the Corvettes are brought down by impeccable coordination and
efficiency. Being the only surviving fighter with ion cannon, I finish the
job.
Cyclone Squadron raised its coordination, efficiency and camaraderie. Most
importantly, we've developed friendship.
Significant Events of Childhood & Adolescence: Oan was born on the
SSSD Sovereign. Both his mother and his father worked aboard this ship.
They met when Oan's mother Louise came there to work as a nurse in the
Medic department. They got married in the ship's chapel and they still live
there. His father owned one of the most famous bars for pilots, "the Hole".
Here, pilots from the entire galaxy would gather to meet colleagues, talk
tactics or new fighters, or simply just to relax. The young boy would sit
for hours listening to the pilots as they told their exciting stories.
Before Oan had even began going to tutoring he had become a kind of mascot
for the pilots on Wing II. When school was out for the day, he used to
follow the pilots to their barracks and to the hanger. He made good friends
with many of the maintenance guys who worked the deck. This meant that he
neglected school, the only subject that he had any interest in were the
technological ones. On the other hand, he knew how to install a tractor
beam on a Tie Defender or how to change the solar cells of a Tie Fighter
when he was 12 years old. It was clear that he was to become a mechanic.
When he graduated from school at 16 with quite mediocre grades he got a job
at the Service & Maintenance Department. It took him only a few years to
become the vice manager of Wing II's hanger. Oan liked his life, he got to
be there, right where the action was and he knew all the famous pilots. He
was never really appealed by the thought of being in battle. At this time
Oan wouldn't have guessed that he was going to become a pilot in the
Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet.
Significant Events of Adulthood: Oan had seen many good friends come
and leave, fighter pilots lived dangerous lives. Still, it came as a chock
when he found that two entire squadrons had been wiped out by rebels. Many
of his childhood friends were among the dead. He swore to revenge his dead
companions. It was not until now, at the age of 26, that he decided to
become a pilot. Passing the various tests was not a problem, he knew every
starfighter in the fleet by heart. It took him six months to finish his
training. Oan's first assignment was Rage squadron on the SSD Avenger. It
was his training officer who insisted on him being stationed aboard the
Dark Brotherhood flagship. Oan himself didn't really understand why. It
turned out that the experienced officer had been right, he had noticed that
Oan was force sensitive. After spending a few months on the Avenger, Oan had
learned a lot about the dark side of the force. He studied the writings of
Emperor Palpatine with great enthusiasm and he graduated from the Shadow
Academy with very good results. He turned even more to the dark side and he
discovered what it had to offer. The vengeance he had sworn was a very
strong power which he learned to control and use through the dark forces.
He became one of the dreaded Dark Knights.
Alignment & Attitude: Oan is very strong in his believes and his hate
is great. But he has learned the hardest thing there is to learn, control.
This means that he can concentrate his anger toward the ones who deserve it;
all the Rebels.
Personal views of the Empire: The Emperor's Hammer is an organization
of immense power. This is due to the absolute dedication from all it's
members and officers. Everyone has their own reasons for being a part of the
Fleet but there is one thing which brings us all together; the wish of
complete and utter destruction of the rebellion. I believe that the
Emperor's Hammer will continue to grow and that it will reach a membership
of 5000 before the year 2000.
I hereby confirm that the above information is legitimate and accurate to
the best of my knowledge.
GN Lacey and Brie, how are you, said Tau squadron commander Kaerner, please
come in. I have a mission for you to go on. I need you to go to the Phare
system, and pick up a couple of X-wings. I have already made my request to
your father and Admiral Dogger but they only know that 2 Tau pilots are
coming over but not who you are. They have granted you to use of a couple
of ships.
We can't have you flying your A-9's. for all intents you must seem like
Rebel pilots. This job should fall to the Infiltrator Wing but they are
busy, chasing down pirates that are interrupting our supply lines. Take all
the time you need to get familiar with the X-wings, you will also get to
spend a day or 2 with your father. Here are your sealed orders but don't
open them until you are ready to go on the mission, and no one except
Admirals Dogger and Renegade is to know what your mission is.
Yessir, said both pilots in unison, we are able to fly X-wings sir, that is
the very first ships we ever flown and we just transferred out of the IW
into Tau but a couple of flights wouldn’t hurt us. An X-wing is easier to
fly than a Tie fighter is. less cockpit controls and the R-4 unit does most
of the hard work.
I am sorry, you were IW pilots, sorry I forgot but I have been to busy to
think straight while putting Tau back together as a very Elite unit, it
shall never fall into the disarray that it once was. We were created to be
the pride of the Dark Brotherhood and we shall be again.
This mission is one of many tests you must go through to prove your dark
Jedi skills before you can be promoted higher in the DB. It may get very
dangerous, but you show amazing skill in using the force. Use the darkness
to guide you.
Hello Haven flight control, this is Tau 2-2 and 2-3, we request to land on
Haven. We have special orders for Admiral Dogger and Admiral Renegade.
SALUTE Sirs, GN Lacey and GN Brie reporting as order. GM\DB Jac sends his
greetings and we were to deliver these orders to you.
To: AD Dogger, FA Pappy Renegade, GN Lacey\Tau and GN Brie\Tau Orders: Please furnish all needed ships, supplies and support to
GN Lacey and GN Brie, so that they may pose as rebel pilots and infiltrate
the forest moon of Endor and recover a piece of debris that is reported by
spies we have in the New Republic to be part of the throne of Emperor
Palpatine.
Pieces of the Death star have fallen to Endor and the New Republic has
been collecting them and transporting them up to PLT Peaceful.
The mission is simple, the Generals will fly to the Endor system
using the latest Rebel codes, they will board the Peaceful and using their
abilities of the Force will identify the wreckage to see if it is indeed the
wreckage of the Emperor's Throne. If it is then they will fly out and
hyperspace back to the Aurora system.
We intend on putting the piece in the Dark Jedi museum. Good luck GN
Lacey and Brie. May the darkness guide you.
Admiral Dogger, Tau CMDR Kaerner is request landing instructions and wishes
to speak to his pilots.
Tell him to report to my readyroom as soon as he lands, well Pappy, I will
take my leave of you and let you spend some time with the GN's.
SALUTE Sir, said the 2 GN's to their CMDR\BG Kaerner of the very elite
squadron of the EH and model squadron of the DB.
I came to see you off and wish you good luck. All of the DB would be happy
to fly this mission. Ascertain the status of the wreckage and you will know
if the scraps are of the Emperor's thrown by the amount of Dark Force that
comes from it. If it is the real thing then you must figure out how to get
it back to the Dark Hall. Use the Alpha-12-Bravo code if asked for ID. It
is the New Republic senate code. It will allow you to give the COM of the
Peaceful orders or any other new Republic Navy people.
The Fleet Commander and the Grand Master wish you luck as well, and implied
that if you fail, then you better defect BACK to the rebels.
We shall not fail Sir. You can count on us. We will have written orders
forged to give us possession of the wreckage to take back to Coruscant to be
put on display in the Senate, then we will hyper-jump towards Coruscant and
then re-jump back to the Aurora system. We have been practicing our
telepathy to confuse any guards that we come across.
The mission is hard and dangerous but I know you will not fail. I shall
await you back at the Dark Hall, see you when you return. SALUTE.
Good morning GN's said the old wise Chief technician. Your X-wings are
ready, I put FA Renegade R4-M2 droid on you ship GN Brie, it will
interface with R4-Z4, which is loaded on you ship GN Lacey. They have
special instructions and orders. You must take them wherever you go on the
rebel ship. Your flight plan is loaded to the droids. Good luck, you are
cleared to launch whenever you are ready. Please bring my ships back to me
in 1 piece. GN Brie you have FA Renegades ship and GN Lacey will fly AD
Doggers ship.
Don't worry Chief, we will have the Rebels put some of their new technology
into them so we can bring the secrets that they have back for you to study.
We can kill 2 birds at the same time. The rebels won't know that they are
giving the EH their secrets. It will be fun.
Haven flight control, 2 X-wings requesting take-off instructions,
designation Tau 2-2 IW and Tau 2-3 IW. Flight plan to Endor system filed,
we will hyper-jump at 0200 1200 0356.
Tau flight, this is FA Renegade, "let the Darkness be your guide", launch
now, and remember you are EH pilots. We never surrender. If you cannot
complete your mission then take as many of the rebels with you as you can.
If your in a situation you cannot deal with then enter the code 82 26 23
into Emtoo and he will detonate the thermal nuclear device he is carrying
and the rebel will never use the CRS peaceful again. But, please come home.
Remember--your jobs is to NOT die for the Empire but to destroy the enemies
of the Empire."
Yessir, Dad, er...I mean Admiral Renegade. clearing Docking bay doors
now.
This is Tau flight, entering hyper-space NOW, and 2 of Tau's elite
pilots vanished.
(Hey, give me a break, it is all part of learning the force. now open
up your mind and I will let you know what I have planned.)
(Sounds risky but we might just pull it off, I hope there isn't a
Light-Jedi with them, otherwise the mission is doomed.)
CRS Peaceful, X-wing HQ flight-1 requesting landing instructions. Two
xwings on approach, I am GN Lacey in Command.
Roger, HQ flight, please transmit ID code. Keep your foils closed.
You make any hostile move you will be destroyed. A-wing Flight Red will
escort you in.
Roger, transmitting now. You should have facilities to decode an
Alpha-Bravo-1 code.
Roger GN Lacey, you are cleared to land in Bay-1, we are at your
disposal, please report to RA Maden on the bridge at your earliest
convenience.
(Brie, load that program CMDR Kaerner uploaded to your ship. It will
disable your Ion emitters. they can tractor beam you in. We will request a
different ship for you while we leave them a nasty nuclear surprise hidden
in it.)
(AD Dogger is going to be really mad that we destroyed his personal
fighter. Even if we take a CRS out with it.)
(Relax, he requested that we use this ship. He knows it won't be
coming back. Him and Dad planted the Nuke in it as well as the R-4 unit you have on board.)
Hello, Peaceful, this is HQ-2, I have suffered engine failure, can you
tractor beam me to the landing bay. My ION emitters are malfunctioning.
Roger, HQ-2, we have you. We will land you in the maintenance bay.
HQ-1, you are still cleared for landing in Bay-1.
Good to see you, GN we will have your ship fixed as soon as possible.
Now if you will follow the trooper, he will escort you to RA Maden. You can
meet your Flight leader on the bridge.
(So, far they don't suspect anything. Let's get the wreckage and
hyper-out of here. We can ask for another fighter for you. No use in
pushing our luck. The longer we stay here the more we risk getting caught.)
Good morning RA Maden
HQ feels like we can use the force coming from the wreckage to the New
Republics advantage. Attack the Imperials with a piece of their own Death
Star and if it is indeed the piece of the Emperor's thrown, then what a
propaganda campaign we can wage against the Emperor's Hammer.
Certainly GN, this way please and we will have a Fighter readied for
your return trip.. This way please..
here is the article in question, it isn't very big so we can load it
into your ship with no trouble. We have a force field around it so the
force cannot affect us. It puts out a lot of Dark Energy.
No fear, RA, we have handled Dark Force energy before, that is why we
were sent here to get it. We are very strong in the Force and know how to
deal with anything that comes from the Darkside.
(Lacey, can you feel it, even through the force field, I can feel the
darkness coming from it. It is very strong. The GM will be very pleased
that we recovered it, now lets get it and get out of here.)
Can we have it transported to the Landing bay, Admiral. I believe we
can take it from here. Make sure that the force field stays in place
though. We don't want anybody injured. I can feel that it is emitting a
very powerful influence on the Darkside. No sense taking chances..
Certainly, GN we will escort it for you, but you both are under
arrest. We were warned about you coming here and trying to steal it for
the Empire. Only a dark Jedi could be able to tell about the Dark Force
that is coming from it. Seize them troopers. By the way, we disabled the
little bomb that you had aboard your ship. Sorry, you won't be blowing up
the Peaceful today.
Now, Lacey, lets get them, said GN Brie as she pulled a lightsaber
from beneath her tunic and cleaved the nearest trooper.
Got it, said GN Lacey as she too pulled out a lightsaber and attacked
the other trooper.
(Where did you get a lightsaber, we aren't supposed to have one, we
aren't high enough up in DB rank to rate one.)
(Same place you got yours, I thought we needed an advantage just for
this very purpose. We will worry about it later, run to the landing bay.
I saw a couple of T\A's on my way in. They will have our X-wings disabled
by now.)
Now Admiral Maden, you are our prisoner, if you try anything you won't
live to see tomorrow. We are from the Empire and we plan on getting out of
here alive ourselves. Please order a path cleared to the Landing bay and
Admiral don't try anything foolish, we can sense deception. lets make this
nice and easy.
THIS RA MADEN, WE HAVE IMPERIAL INTRUDERS ON BOARD. SEAL ALL DECKS.
THEY HAVE ME HOSTAGE. KILL THEM ON SIGHT.
Sorry Admiral, I guess you won’t be seeing tomorrow after all, said
Brie as she used her lightsaber to end the admiral's tirade.
Lets go, and don't forget to grab the wreckage, that's what we came
after. Emtoo plug into the ships mainframe, clear us a path from section
1-A-23 to landing bay-2. Do all you can to scramble communications, but
first see if you can send a hyper-holo to the fleet and tell them what kind
of trouble we are in. and see if you can disable the weapons systems and
see if those 2 T\A's are serviceable and flyable. Hurry, we are in a spot
of trouble then load yourself into T\A if it is serviceable.
Two more dead rebels join their makers. Hanger bay just ahead. I
sense a lot of angry people who want our hides, time for blasters, guess we
got to shoot our way out of here.
I just heard from Emtoo on my private com-link. Tau is lying in wait
about 1/2 light-year out. They will be here in 10 minutes, he only managed
to disable some of their turbo-lasers and a few laser batteries. We are in
for it even if we do make it out of here.. Lets go. Destiny awaits.
After a heated and running battle, the 2 brave pilots of Tau, GN Lacey
and GN Brie fought their way to the Hanger Bay, they managed to start and
fly the 2 T\A's that the Rebels had captured and discovered that Tau
squadron had hypered in and was in the process of destroying all rebels in
the Endor system and turning the CRS Peaceful into space slag along with the
help of Diamond squadron of the IW.
When Tau 2 returned to the Dark Hall on Eos we were each taken to
separate debriefing rooms, while all data was downloaded from our ships.
When the debriefing was over we were escorted to the main briefing room.
Grand Master Jac, CMDR Kearner of Tau squadron, Commodore RA Bluefire of the
SSD Avenger, and the rest of Tau squadron were already there.
"Be seated pilots" said GM Jac. After we were seated he continued, "We
have reviewed all the data from your ships and used it to set up a capture
operation for the platform. The SSD Avenger and the INT Fairchild, on loan
to us from the Aurora Home Guard, to insure no ships escape, Will be leaving
within the next two hours. Because of Tau's involvement and contributions
to this mission so far, Tau squadron will spearhead this operation. Your
A9b's are being loaded on the Avenger as we speak. That station must me
captured. We must find out what they know of the Aurora system. I will be
taking charge of this mission personally"
"Tau 1 will guard the Avenger, Tau 3 will guard the Fairchild. Tau 2
will guard Two Assault shuttles as they capture the station. The Assault
shuttles must complete there missions. You will be further briefed on the
way to the Aida system. Dismissed."
When we arrived at the Aida system things had changed somewhat. The
frigate was still there, the freighters and corvettes were gone. And there
was a Calamari cruiser there. Ships began scrambling from the platform, the
frigate and the cruiser. All ships were immediately launched from the
Avenger as the Fairchild powered up its gravity well generators. The
fighting was fierce, there were A-wings, B-wings, and X-wings everywhere.
The B-wings went after the Fairchild, But it was well guarded. The Calamari
cruiser and the Frigate went after the Avenger, like they had much of a
chance there. That left the A-wings and X-wings for Tau 2. The fighting was
hard and fast, but they were no match for our A9b's. We cleared a path for
the Assault shuttles to the platform, then went after the remaining
fighters.
The A-wings were the biggest threat to us, but the X-wings were the
biggest threat to the shuttles as they were armed with proton torpedoes.
It was a close battle. We were outnumbered three to one, but we finely
killed all of the X-wings. Then we took out the A-wings in short order.
One of the Assault shuttles was destroyed but the other one managed to bring
down the platforms defenses. After that it was all just mopping up.
The fight was short but sweet. All fighters were destroyed, the
Calamari cruiser was destroyed, and the Frigate and platform were captured.
Just as the platforms shields went down a shuttle left the platform headed
for hyperspace. I immediately went after it. I took its shield down and kept
it tied up until a transport arrived to use there ion cannons on it . When
they boarded the shuttle they discovered a Rebel diplomat on board. I'm sure
the Grand Master would love interrogating him.
After the platform and the Frigate were secured and our technicians
were sent to the platform, the Grand Master called for a briefing at 1400
hrs in the Avengers main briefing room.
"Our computer technicians were able to crack the rebel computer in
short order. They found that the A-wings that had encroached on Aurora
system were on a five system scouting operation. They do not know which
system they were lost in, but they suspected that one of the systems would
bear closer looking at. They did not believe four A-wings could be lost that
easy without at least one of them getting a message off. As the platform
was still under construction they did not have the man power to stage the
kind of operation that scouting all five systems would require. They did not
want any of this information to leak out so they did not send it on the
comm system. They had four modified corvettes in system that had just
delivered parts. They placed all of the information they had on one of the
corvettes, supplied them with a fighter escort, and sent them to one of the
main rebel bases. We have the route they are taking and have already found a
place to ambush them."
The Grand Master continued " But there has been another, much larger
development. Tau 2 captured a Rebel diplomat trying to escape during the
battle. After "questioning" him we have uncovered something very
interesting. It seems that the Rebels have been contacted by someone who
claims to be the son of an old Jedi Knight. He says he has a complete
library of Jedi knowledge from his father that he wishes to turn over to
the Rebellion. He is terribly afraid of being discovered by the Empire. He
said he would meet only with Admiral Akbar. They are meeting in the Lomabu
system, it is a sister system to the Aida system and is very close by. So as
not to draw attention to this meeting Admiral Akbar will be on board a Light
Calamari cruiser with no escort."
"This is too good of an opportunity to pass up. We can eliminate Akbar
and acquire an entire Jedi library in one quick strike. They are meeting in
less than a day, so we must act fast. But we cannot forget the corvettes.
So Tau squadron along with four gunboats will be placed onboard the
captured Frigate along with a crew to man it. They will go after the
information on the corvettes while the SSD Avenger takes care of Akbar and
acquires the Jedi library. The INT Fairchild is being sent back to Aurora,
she is to valuable to loose. And the SSD Avenger can more than take care of
one Light Cal cruiser. That is all. Dismissed!"

The construction of the Death Star 2 may have fallen behind schedule, but
not even the Emperor in his desire to crush the Rebellion would refuse his
loyal troops the chance of a some sport.
If truth be told, we weren’t actually off duty. The construction of the
shield generator on the Sanctuary moon of Endor was being slowed by a bit of
unrest amongst the natives...the natives being an overly cute form of teddy
bear (who ever thought these monstrosities up must have being doing some
seriously bad drugs at the time!). We weren’t sure if they knew what they
were doing, they seemed intelligent enough but they were too primitive to
pose any kind of serious threat, but they were interfering with the Walkers
and AT-ATs scavenging bits of machinery which was delaying our progress.
As a result, they had to be moved further into the woods, away from the main
construction site.
The order went out - those Imperials who were deemed to have been working
hard for the honor of the Empire would be rewarded with some time off...and
the chance to hunt Ewoks. Whether we captured them or killed them didn’t
matter as long as we moved them. Suffice to say...a lot of the wives of
Imperial Troops were to suddenly find themselves receiving gifts of fur over
their home planets coming winter.
The briefing was short and simple...we want rid of those things so go do
it...cruelty, torture or just plain annihilation would be warmly welcomed.
The hunt was an Eylordian duck shoot ...I’ve never seen so many animals
apparently oblivious to the dangers we posed. Knives, lasers, garrotes,
stones, bare hands....it didn’t matter whatever we had we used. The piles
of Ewok bodies were enormous, too many for us to skin...after taking enough
to serve our purpose we just set them alight...hundreds of bonfires dotting
the Endorian landscape.
We must have killed thousands that day - of all shapes and sizes....males
and females, babies, old Ewoks...crippled Ewoks and put their houses to the
torch. Despite the culling of their kind, it was clear there was still many
more out there deep in the forest, but the immediate area around the
construction of the shield was well and truly cleared.
The danger had passed, these strange furballs would offer no threat to the
Imperial Alliance after our devastating rampage.
We traveled back to the quickly developing Death Star where ready rooms
sported numerous trophies of Ewok carcasses but before long I was
transferred to continue my training in the Dark Brotherhood.
When I felt the Emperor’s death tear at the fabric of the Dark Side and
reports of how the Ewoks contributed I was stunned. How could our mighty
Imperial forces have been outwitted by a bunch of moth eaten throwbacks.
I have a date in my diary, the day I go back and reek vengeance on that
race.
As a child, LG Kaerner
lived with his father. Mother is to this date still unknown. Being raced
with only one parent, he quickly learned the rules of the galaxy. With his
father working as a security officer, he quickly learned to get things done
himself. Although he loved his father very much, he learned to live his life
without any parents. Thus making Kaerner mature very early in his life.
When his father died, Kaerner had to take care of himself. Former partners
of his father helped with small amounts of money. He had a few close friends
in his life that meant a lot to him and helped during those difficult years
without parents. As Kaerner grew up, he supported himself as a gambler,
playing at the casinos. This was only a temporarily occupation though. From
a very young age, Kaerner knew his path in life. To aid the Empire in the
destruction of the rebellion. He was drafted to the army, but never really
liked it there. As time passed by, he eventually begun to realize his talent
in flying. Then one day, he met a navy officer in a pub who promised to help
Kaerner making it into the navy. After months of hard training, Kaerner
graduated from the navy academy top of his class. 2 weeks later he was
appointed as a flight member in Rage Squadron. He has from that date worked
his way up through the ranks to his current rank and position: Commander of
the elite Tau Squadron.
The glorious
Empire is the only thing that can stop the rebels from taking control over
the galaxy. The Empire must protect it's citizens against the barbarians in
the rebellion.
To punish
the barbarians for all they've done towards the Imperial citizens.

Lived with a group of Selonians when his parents disappeared before joining
Corellian security. Once there, became adapted to flying starfighters and
became aware of the Galactic Empire.
While working on a CorSec mission, the group of Selonians which he grew up
with, and called family, were murdered by a Trandoshan bounty hunter. This
same bounty hunter was found to be the one which captured his birth-parents
and delivered them to Jabba the Hutt where they paid their family's debt
with their lives.
Apparent death of birth-family by Jabba the Hutt. And discovering what had
happened to his life through his up-bringing parents, the Selonians
The Galactic Empire, in my opinion, was the first actual government the
galaxy has ever had. The Emperor's Hammer is the most successful Strike
Fleet in the Imperial Navy and I believe that it will become even more
successful in the future.
The Emperor's Hammer is highly dedicated to restoring the Galactic Empire to
it's former glory. I wish to be a part of that dedication.

the best of my knowledge.
"Red 3, take another sweep at coordinates 163 mark 051. We are getting
strange readings." the voice spouted from the fighter’s Comm system.
Assassin frowned. "Damn Rebels. It is just a gas cloud." He swung his
X-Wing around and made a quick scan of the area. "It is just a gas cloud.
Returning to base now."
Assassin had joined this New Republic Squadron one month ago for covert
reasons. Assassin had joined the Imperial Navy at a young age and quickly
excelled through the ranks. After serving in numerous tours of duty, he had
joined the Emperor’s Hammer Elite Strike Fleet, under the command of Grand
Admiral Ronin. In fact, Assassin was given command of his own squadron -
Trapper Squadron. After serving there for a little while, Assassin decided
to break away from military life. He had done to much and now wanted to
retire. He had saved up a sizable sum of credits, so he left for an unknown
planet in the Outer Rim in his own TIE Defender. He had left Trapper
Squadron in very capable hands.
He had lived on the planet for a few months when he grew restless. He
longed for the cockpit, to fly into the heat of battle, to emerge
victorious. So, he finally decided to return to the Emperor’s Hammer fleet,
but he would not return empty-handed. So, he joined a New Republic
Squadron. Over the last month, Assassin had been downloading information
onto a data chip. He had finally finished today, and he was ready to head
home.
The night before, Assassin had reprogrammed his Astromech Droid so that it
not prevent him from executing his plan.
As his X-Wing peeled off the left, Assassin began punching up the program he
installed. His X-Wing began to experience mechanical failures.
Shortly after, a tug launched from base to tow the X-Wing. As it got within
torpedo range, Assassin launched tow torps which struck the tug dead on.
Only debris remained.
Assassin brought all systems back on-line as his hyperspace coordinates
popped up on the screen. Pulling back on the lever, his fighter made the
jump successfully.
After seven short jumps to throw any followers off the trail, Assassin
arrived at the planet he had called home for the past few months. He
already had everything packed, so he powered up his TIE Defender after
stripping the X-Wing for parts.
As he passed through the planet’s atmosphere, his fighter’s sensors beeped
wildly. It seemed that his squadron members had found him after all.
"Enemy fighter, you will stand down and surrender on the charge of
treason." the Squadron Leader transmitted.
Assassin hit his Com switch. "Now I couldn’t do that. I simply have too
much information from you. You can stand in the way and die, or run like
the cowards you are." Assassin flicked his weapon control onto lasers,
quad-fire. He aimed his targeting reticule up with the squadron Leader’s
left wingman. He fired when the reticule went red. The four lances of
laser beam fired out, all splaying across the X-Wing’s shields. Assassin’s
targeting computer reported that the X-Wing’s shields were down to 15%.
Assassin came in and fired two more bursts, destroying the X-Wing.
The ten remaining fighters came after Assassin in formation. Assassin took
a few hits, but pumped his shields back up with diverted power from lasers.
He changed on to single-fire and fired a few shots at another X-Wing.
It predictably broke formation and Assassin followed. Through a few
maneuvers, Assassin managed to get the fighter he was following to move
around to the back of his TIE Defender. He rolled up into a loop as another
X-Wing came head on. It turned into a deadly game of chicken. Assassin
dropped down at the last moment, the X-wing flying head on colliding with
the X-Wing that was following. Both were destroyed.
There were still eight X-Wings left and Assassin, though confident in his
abilities, knew his luck wouldn’t hold out. He had a sudden thought and
dove for the planet’s surface. He headed straight for a tunnel he had found
when he first arrived at the planet, months ago. He had often practiced his
piloting here, and he knew it well.
He flew into the tunnel, seeing that all eight fighters followed him in.
Assassin banked this way and that, looped, turned, corkscrewed, and every
other maneuver he knew. Three minutes later, Assassin flew out the other
end of the tunnel. One X-Wing came out, the Leader.
The two fighters began their deadly dance. It started with Assassin
trailing the X-Wing, spraying beams of laser off it’s shields. The shields
weakened but held. Then the X-Wing whipped around in a tight loop, getting
behind Assassin. The blasts came in quickly, but the shields remained.
Assassin went through a series of maneuvers, but the X-Wing stayed on his
tail.
Assassin began to jinx back and forth, forcing the X-Wing to follow the
maneuver in order to get a quality shot. Assassin timed it out and then
dropped his throttle to no power. The X-Wing shot by. Firing two bursts
of quad-fire lasers, Assassin powered the throttle back up. Both bursts
hit the X-Wing squarely. Assassin brought torpedoes on-line. He followed
the fighter through a Corellian Slip maneuver as his reticule went red.
Assassin smiled.
"End game." He pushed the triggering button. Two torpedoes fired off and
tracked the targeted X-Wing. It exploded on impact.
As Assassin entered hyperspace on course for the Emperor’s Hammer Strike
Fleet, he relaxed.
Brigadier General Kawolski and General TayHota would like to present you an
interview with Brigadier General Tron, Squadron Commander of the ISD
Relentless’ Hammer Squadron.
Tell me a little about yourself (for those who don't know you). What's your
rank and position? Describe a bit about your life.
Ok. My rank is Brigadier General, my position being Squadron Commander of
Hammer Squadron off the ISD Relentless. I've been in the EH since December
'95 and have an undying love for Star Wars.
I am currently a freshman at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in
Newark, NJ studying computer engineering. When I'm not at school, sleep,
or out with friends, I'm e-mailing. I love to do almost ANYTHING, that is,
anything that's not stupid, like skydiving. I like playing sports more
than watching them, and my favorite sport to watch, and play, is lacrosse.
What is your daily (or weekly) EH routine for performing your actions as
squadron commander? How many hours a day/week do you spend?
Hmmm. Well uh...I spend about, on the average, a half hour a day. So I
guess, on the average, about 3-4 hours a week...sometimes more, sometimes
less.
Oh, oops, answered too soon. I've been in the EH since Dec. 95. My first
position was FM in flight 3 of Shield squadron on the Rel as well. Then I
was promoted to FL of flight two, then I was offered the CMDR position here
in Hammer squad.
Immediately following your promotion to becoming squadron commander of the
Hammer squadron, how did you work your way up to become the greatest
squadron commander aboard the Relentless?
Wow! What a question! Uhhh, well I just try to be easy going, responsible,
and active. Everything just kinda falls into place.
What are some of your notary accomplishments prior to becoming squadron
commander? After becoming squadron commander?
Hmmm. Well, when while in Shield squadron, I designed the Shield Squad
Banner that is on their webpage. I also submitted some music I composed
using Scream Tracker, a music composition program which is found on our
file archive page.
After become a CMDR, I started the homepage, received the ISM and IWATS
awards, and also the CMDR of the month.
What would you tell to the many envious squadron commanders probably want
to know "How did you do it?", referring to making the Hammer squadron the
best on the Relentless?
Well, to just be active. Be ambitious and proud of your squad. Motivate
your FL's and FM's and make them proud of your squad as well. After all,
the FM's truly make the EH successful.
Besides that we're the best on the Relentless, :-), the activity.
Everybody, for the most part is very active. I have been blessed with
such excellent pilots such as Kawolski, Undo, and TayHota.
These guys have either received awards or have awards pending in the
short amount of time they where in the EH. But besides these guys, as a
whole, Hammer squadron is very active.
I WAS in the DB. When last I knew , I was a Dark Jedi Hunter. No one has
returned my email, so I'm not sure about it.
I am a FM in the experimental ship testing squadron Phoenix Fire in Phoenix
Tech.
I also have my own smuggler's guild called the Parakeet Stirfry. I am a
MAST with 20,160,000 credits
Well, I think it will basically stay the same. There will be more activity
when XvT comes out, I’m sure. But the EH is more about the Star Wars and
TIE Fighter experience. I think that will survive through the years.
Update: Tron, since this interview, has been promoted to Lieutenant General
and now is the ISD Relentless’ Wing Commander (Wing XI).
In a matter of minutes, the entire A-Wing squadron is decimated.
