Subj: TFR Review Program Date: 96-06-29 15:12:20 EDT From: masten@rt66.com (Masten) To: GARonin@aol.com File: TFR-STAT.ZIP (10869 bytes) DL Time (14400 bps): < 1 minute GA Ronin, Hello, sir. It has come to my attention that you may be seeking a program to review TFR files. I wrote such a program several months ago, and submitted it six weeks ago to ExO Dan, but haven't received any reply. My submittal to ExO Dan is enclosed below. TFR-STAT is easy to use, and easy to review, if you'd like to look at it yourself. The report it generates includes a section at the top specifically to evaluate qualifications for entrance into the Emperor's Hammer, as well as statistics on battles flown, lasers and missiles fired, craft captured or destroyed, etc. To use TFR-STAT, simply copy the BROWSE.COM utility to your DOS directory (or elsewhere in your PATH), and 'cd' to the directory where you put TFR-STAT.BAS. Once there, run TFR-STAT using QBasic. This can be done by entering the following at the command prompt: c:> qbasic /run tfr-stat TFR-STAT requires that you enter the full path to the TFR files of interest, and allows you to change the default file extension, if desired. Thanks for your time. SALUTE! ------------------- RL/GR Masten/SF/CIT ----IMPERIAL SCANDOC---- FROM: Grand Researcher Masten, Research Leader, Starfighter Group-CIT TO: Executive Officer Dan, Corporate Division SUBJECT: TFR-STAT.BAS DATE: 13 May 96 CONFIRMED: SEND; TRAN45/48; RECV CONTEXT: 1E10; AOPT; ASYS; ROPT PHASECYCLE: PSEG256712862347674; ICON; 00.56BMUT; 00.37RMUT Sir, On behalf of Crona Imperial Technologies, and as instructed by CEO Patrick, I am submitting the CIT TIE Fighter Status (TFR-STAT.BAS) program for your review. If you have any technical questions, please feel free to contact me -- any questions regarding CIT policy or procedures should be directed to CEO Patrick. It is our desire that TFR-STAT.BAS be made available for Line and Command officers (CMDR, WC, COM, BG-COM, TO, FO, etc.) within the Emperor's Hammer who regularly review the pilot files of their subordinates. TFR-STAT generates a nearly complete report on the data contained within a *.TFR file, as well as some information that is not made available when reviewing these files within TIE Fighter. This can be particularly useful when reviewing a great number of pilot files, as TFR-STAT can be run in a DOS window under Windows 3.1 or Win95. There are a few copies of TFR-STAT floating around already, but I would like to make its release official. Also, it may be wise to formally restrict its use to Line and Command officers. Thanks. ----END TRANSMISSION---- >Return-Path: patrick.crona@mailbox.swipnet.se >Date: Tue, 25 Jun 1996 19:24:18 +0200 (MET DST) >X-Sender: m-20047@mailbox.swipnet.se >To: masten@Rt66.com (Masten) >From: "CEO Patrick" >Subject: Important kind of > >Hi!! > >The GA did get the tfr file reviewer you made right?
