Recently, while on recon far from Aurora (as part of my role as Recon Officer), in the Unknown Regions. I stumbled upon a nearly self-sufficient Elite Stormtrooper Training Facility. This facility was nearing completion at the time of the Emperor's Death over Endor, and was still funded (unknowningly) by the New Republic as an accessory to the Eclipse-class Star Destroyer program.

This state-of-the-art facility is located in the Carrida system, which is not to be confused with the Carida system, the site of an Imperial Naval Academy. It gets it's name from it's large similarities to the Carida system. It has the same number of planets, same type of stars, even very similar climates on the planets. The Carrida facility was constructed on a unique planet which was has an extremely diverse climate. In the extreme North and South, average temperatures are -30 degrees Celsius during the day, and can plummet to over -50 at night. The north recieves huge amounts of precipitation, while the south recieves about 10 millimeters in a whole year, making two ideal training locations for Snowtroopers. The equatorial regions of the planet consist of either scorched desert or tropical regions near the coast, with two training facilities, one in each climate. There are also vast oceans that stretch from pole to pole, and water temperatures can range from -2 degrees Celsius to 35 degrees Celsius. Two Aquatrooper training facilities are found on the planet. The Temperate regions in between the Poles and Equator are covered in dense, thick forest, with the exception of the main training facility, and the huge 50 km squared mock city for urban combat training. Scout Troopers are also trained here.

There are also two additional facilites in-system. One is located on a moon orbiting Carrida which has no atmosphere, and is used for Zero-G Stormtrooper training. The other is the extreme endurance facility located on a large planet extremely close to the sun. It has twice the normal gravity and atmospheric pressure level of normal habitable planets, and Surface temperatures range from 65 degrees Celsius to -80 Degrees.

The Carrida facility was built to be an emergency shelter for passing Imperials, as well as a vacation planet for high ranking Imperials. In addition it guards one of the Emperor's vast storehouses of wealth. The planet itself is extremely rich in natural resources (In fact, almost all materials needed by us can be found there in abundance) and mining operations have been under way for some time. There are many manufacturing and processing plants located on the surface. Only half of them are currently in use, and the others could be converted for use by the various corparations within the Hammer. There had also been plans for a Starbase to be built in orbit, but when the Empire fell, there was no available Navy to staff and guard it.

The planet's population is only about 500,000, with 350,000 Stormtroopers of various types, 100,000 support and administrative staff (In mines, factories, training, agriculture, etc.), and about 50,000 Imperial Scientists, Refugees, and vacationers stranded there. The system is not on any star charts, and I only discovered it because of a Nav computer glitch.
