In a short unannounced ceremony on the Emperor's hidden Palace Planet, Byss, located in an unknown Sector of the Core Worlds, Emperor Palpatine quietly announced the promotion of Admiral Ronin to the rank of Grand Admiral. Due to Ronin's demonstrated ability to command the new pride of the Imperial Navy, the Emperor's Hammer, the Emperor bestowed this great honor on him. Grand Admiral Ronin will be the thirteenth Grand Admiral in the Imperial Navy. Although the Emperor had only originally intended 12 Grand Admirals, the Rebel's retreat, and subsequent pursuit by Grand Admiral Thrawn, has required the Emperor to assign another Grand Admiral to fill Thrawn's duties while he is in the Unknown Regions...
The Wing Commander regrets to announce the resignation of the current Flight Officer, Vice Admiral Thunder, as Flight Officer for the Emperor's Hammer. Due to personal difficulties, VA Thunder feels he can't adequately perform the duties of both a Command Officer AND a Squadron Commander. Consequently, VA Thunder will remain at his current rank of Vice Admiral and will continue as Squadron Commander for Lambda Squadron.
In a sudden announcement, Grand Admiral Ronin approved the appointment and promotion of General Stelek to Iota Commander. Stelek was appointed to the position of Flight Officer and given a promotion by the Emperor to the rank of Vice Admiral. He has since proved to be a clever and resourceful Flight Officer aided by his capable Training Officer, General Paladin.
In related events, the newly appointed Grand Admiral rapidly announced the activation of Mu and Nu Squadrons on board the FRG Imperator for pilot appointments. Consequently, Grand Admiral Ronin has promoted General Shekinah to the position of Mu Squadron Commander (CMDR/GN Shekinah/Mu-1/FRG Imp) and General Tethys to the position of Nu Squadron Commander (CMDR/GN Tethys/Nu-1/FRG Imp). General Paladin (Mstr Jdi), who also serves as Master of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, has been appointed by Grand Admiral Ronin as the Dark Brotherhood Liason Officer to the Emperor's Hammer. As with other "Advisory" positions, this position of Liason Officer does not entail any additional command or responsibilities in the Hammer...However, with the ongoing negotiations between the Dark Brotherhood and the Emperor's Hammer, this Liason Officer will be crucial...In accordance with the teachings of the Dark Side, Grand Admiral Ronin has approved General Paladin's request to lead the Training Group on the PLT Daedalus in their intitial studies.
