Commodore’s Report #1 Imperial Star Destroyer Challenge August 29, 2005 Commodore’s Corner Well, you’ll have to excuse this being a day late of the 2 week schedule I was setting up. But if you want to complain I have a picture of myself with the little lady bug that just turned one whom I was visiting in GA this weekend. Trust me, the picture will melt your heart…all her doing. Congratulations to all the numerous people who got promotions and medals recently. Remember, the only reason it was late was because MSE were late from a couple commanders…or was it a few…nope, couple. Once we were able to finish the MWE and get it to Bubba it took a grand total of 3 days to review, submit and receive all those medals. So, August’s MSE should come in quicker, yes? (Notice that it’s a Chicagoan term of speech to end things in unneeded questions) Phel is off serving in another little spat in Iraq. Regardless of your political views take a moment to send Phel some wishes that you want him back in one piece. Cause the sooner he gets back the sooner we can listen to his unique sense of humor and see pictures from Iraq and how crazy they’re behaving. Also, my competition only got one response. ONLY ONE! So I’m giving you till Friday, September 2nd to submit to it. Remember to send it to Cor and I. Hopefully you’ll submit or the one person that submitted is going to be sitting pretty high and mighty. Competitions Summer Patrol is still going on. Be sure to follow the correct submission guidelines. I don’t want anyone losing out on points cause they didn’t format things correctly. The rules will be forwarded in a separate email. It starts on the 4th of September so read over them and be ready to get a jump start on things. But they’re working out quite nicely, quite nicely indeed. Keep up the recruiting people! Battlegroup News Bubba left us, then returned to us…little did he know we locked up his stuff unless he’d stay with us. Maj Steve Strangelove has been named the new Wing VIII WC. Definite congratz to him.
