Sovereign News
Imperial Storm V: The wargame is now at the end of Turn 16 of 20. If you recall last week, we lost our beloved flagship to the Sith attack at Kamino. Those dirty Sith =P

However, while we still don't have a planet capturing ship, we do have the rest of our fleet to try and supress the enemy. Currently the Sith are trying to take Telos. Our current forces residing over a planet are at Korriban. The TIECorps BattleGroup is situated at Endor. If there need be a battle to wage then please be ready. It may come at a moment's notice.

Squad vs Squad Orders: Not every squadron CMDR took it upon themselves to take part in these orders. That means that these CMDRs are either AWOL, MIA, or just plain don't care. I'm guessing that they're AWOL, which means that I'll be having a little chat with the wing commanders of possible removal of the AWOL'd CMDRs.

Commendation of Loyalty: All CMDRs are to make one recommendation for the Commendation of Loyalty medal. The wing commanders will in turn make their recommendations of 3 to me, in which I will then pick 3 to award. This medal is awarded to the pilot who has been overall active and helpful to the squadron and wing and possibly ship.

XWA Coop Night: On Saturday @ 9pm EST, I will be hosting an XWA coop night. I will be hosting 3 skirmish missions in which pilots will get to fly with or against eachother. The idea is mainly to get pilots more multiplayer oriented and hopefully to build on nights like this. Teamspeak will be available to communicate via microphones, although this is optional. I will email the ship a detailed email with further details.

Escort Squadron of the Month: Congratulations to Kappa Squadron of Wing II. After having reviewed the latest activity reports and emails of BSF reports as well as chatting and emailing activity, I'm proud to announce that the SOVCOM Escort Squadron for August is Kappa Squadron. Break open the kegs for Kappa.

Pilot of the Month: For the past month one pilot has essentially been a renaissance man. He works for TAC, is a professor, creates missions and battles, flies single and multiplayer for XvT, and does a heck of a lot of other things with the Emperor's Hammer. I wish there were a million more like him =P He leads a good example. Congratulations to CPT Brukhar of Wing II.

Sovereign Status
Recruitment Campaign: I've created the Sovereign Recruiting Kit and just need to tighten a few loose ends. When its ready, hopefully tomorrow, I will distribute it out to the ship pilots in which we can then begin the Sovereign Recruiting Campaign.

However, the actual recruitment campaign has yet to start. When the recruitment kit has been made I will inform the ship of what we will do next.

Wing Activity Reports
Wing I: No wing report. CM Kahooli of Alpha Squadron leaves to the reserves to take care of military business. Godspeed, Kahooli and keep in contact.

Wing II: Psi CMDR CPT Ninj steps down; CPT Psyko of Terror returns to command Psi. COL Jon Doyle leaves to the reserves while the wing gains two new pilots.

Wing VII: The Wing VII Readiness Competition I of VII has started. All pilots are to participate in Infiltrator Wing based battles that are to be assigned by the wing commander.

Elite Omega Squadron: MAJ Aft Skylek joins Omega. Yoman is promoted to colonel. Congratz!

Miscellaneous

Battle Citations
-Just a note about Battle Citations, there are a ton of squadrons on the ship that just takes one pilot to fly a battle to boost their collection of battle citations.

-Gyssler's site shows what battles need to be flown to achieve a battle citation.

Quotes of the Week!!
=================

Ship: Sov defeated ASF fleet at Mon Calamari, but unfortunately, our Assault frigate
Revenge was lost in battle. Lets hope that our SP pilots can save the day. I haven’t flown
this time because [insert lame excuse of your own gusto here].

*picks up one of his own old quotes and nails it to Stele's head*

There. That'll make you remember.

-- Hobbie

Would you mind having the messege reversed? That way when I look in the mirror I'll be sure to know what the messege is. =P

*Hobbie pulls the nails out, rewrites the quote backwards, and re-nails it to Stele's head*

There. No problems.

[23:26] Who cares if it impacts your score? =P
[23:26] Would be cool if the Empire thought:
[23:27] "Wtf? Them rebels have superior starfighters! I'm sick of losing, I'm turning on invinciblity and going to wtfpwn the Rebs." =P

If he can't read, WHO'S PICKING OUT THE QUOTES? Maybe it's the Spanish Inquisition...

*WHOOSH*

Spanish Inquisition: Noooooooooobdy expects the Spanish Inquisition! Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... Our TWO weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our THREE weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.... Our FOUR,...no... Amongst our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise....

Hobbie: And while the Spanish Inquisition continue like this, we move to the next part of our program.

Irony is buying Star Wars : Force Commander online, just to get the "free soundtrack", then discovering that the 5 lousy tracks they put on the CD really weren't worth it.

But then, everyone knows that chicks dig the Star Wars tees, so .... ;-)
Not true. The Rage Mix of the Imperial March made it worth every penny.

Hell, I even had it played at my wedding reception.
Hells yes. Actually, we walked into the reception to the regular Imperial March, and out to the Rage Mix.

No common events for the end of Turn 15. Seems all three Teams have gone
into hiding (bad leaders! >:P).
