Significant Events of Childhood and Adolescence: Jerome Caulfied, a manual labourer originally of Coruscant, shortly before the sucession of Emperor Palpatine, travelled to Canastra 4 for construction work. With him was his heavily pregnant new wife, a munitions factory worker named Phoebe. Holden was born shortly afterwards. At school, Holden quickly developed an analytical mind perfect for the sciences, but always preferred to write poetry (though he hated to study it). His mother always encouraged him to suceed in his education as a way out of a poor life. At the age of 7, his mother died of an industrial related respiratory disease.

Significant Events of Adulthood: Aged 22, Holden was top of his class at a Biochemistry Academy on Coruscant. His father had taken an imperial constuction contract. Holden later discovered his father was one of the many labourers working to finish the second Death Star. His father died the same day as the Emperor and Lord Vader. Holden, who was already disillusioned with academic life (especially animal testing in the laboratories), immeadietley joined the Imperial Navy. Still 'green' during the Rebel invasion of Coruscant, his ship was disabled and Holden was taken prisoner. During his interrogation, Holden's head was covered with a cage inside which were starved Womp Rats. Holden (unaware of any valuable information) could not have been broken even if he wanted to. He is therefore scarred with what might pass for bad childhood acne on both cheeks. He duly escaped and found his way to part of the remains of the Imperial fleet- the Emperor's Hammer. Sentimental towards animals (other than Womp Rats), he applied to become a Stoic Yak on finishing his training and was highly pleased to be assigned to Beta Squadron. The Navy did its best to discover the whereabouts of Holden's fiance, a young lab technician and Loyalist called Jane. It was discovered that she took up arms as a Partisan against the Rebels on Coruscant and died fighting the invasion. They did manage to find the engagement ring, however, and Holden wears this on the little finger of his left hand while not on duty. During his training, one of the instructors realised that Holden's reflexes were faster than usual "as if he sees things before they happen". Holden was put in touch with the Dark Brotherhood, and while his force powers are not strong, he more than makes up for this in his enthusiasm in training.

Alignment and Attitude: The death of his mother affected him deeply and although he was close to his father, Holden has a tendancy to be a loner, but can be extremely tender and amusing. Holden hates the Rebels for the murder of his father and Jane and for his own torture at their hands.

Former Occupations: Academic. Free-lance poet.

Hobbies: Poetry and ultraviolent holo-features.

Tragedies: The death of his family and fiance.

Phobias and Allergies: A not-so-irrational fear of Womp Rats.

Personal View of the Empire and EH: Highly loyal to the Emperor, if not some of the power mongers and factions who presume to act in his name. The EH is his subsitute family.

Reason for enlisting in the EH: Largest Imperial fleet encountered after escaping Coruscant and most loyal to the old ways.
