Quote: "Everyone has the right to an opinion, yet no one has the right to be taken seriously"
Significant Events of Childhood and Adolescence: Brin was born on Commenor, a small planet wedged between the Core Worlds and the Inner Rim. After being shuffled (with his family) from one Imperial outpost to another for nine years, Brin's father was reported MIA from the 181st over Fondor. (It is rumoured that Kerran Chaser defected to the Rebels)
Under a widow's pension and possessed by a common phobia of capture by the rebels, Brin's mother began buying passage to worlds further and farther away from the front line of the civil war, eventually starting over in Agamar.
When the Rebels came three days after Brin's 18th birthday, what was left of the Chaser family fled aboard their small family transport bound for the Minos Cluster. Surely the sector that housed a bastion of order such as Carrida would be safe.
Significant Events of Adulthood: Seeing the Sovereign for the first time. Brin was cruising into what appeared to be an uninhabited system when the SSSD Sovereign emerged from behind the cover of a nearby star, effectively blanketing the tiny Muurian Transport in shadow. This was also Brin's first sight of the Tie Defender, and its image has been burned into his mind ever since.
After having his family settled in the Minos Cluster, with the New Republic on one side and the Unknown Regions on the other, Brin knows there is nowhere else to run. Brin makes his decision to one day join the military.
Upon reaching the age of 19, Brin applied to the Carida Military Academy, which contained well documented sources on the battles of Agamar and the occupation of Commenor.
After completing his preliminary education, Brin enlisted in the TIE Corps and soon established a small reputation as a quick thinker with a head for tactics, excelling in the Simulated free missions- at one time registering numerous high scores. This affirmation of his abilities has redoubled his efforts to prepare for the inevitable push into New Republic Space.
Brin recieved his first command appointment as Epsilon CMDR, where he served for nine months, before being promoted to Wing One Wing Commander. In total, Brin served as WC for six months, before requesting a temporary transfer to the Reserves.
Alignment and Attitude: Lawful Good :) Brin is intoxicated by the concept of 'restoring order' and has been completely taken in by the Imperial ideal. Surrounded by the Glories of the Empire's largest known sector fleet, Brin believes the Empire is almost infallible.
The only major threat to Brin's advancement lies in his inability to retreat. Often Brin's actions have bordered on insubordination, but this young man will never run again.
Former Occupations: Agri-Droid Maintainance (Agamar) One year: Brin used to maintain the agricultural harvester droids on his family farm and had his only brush with the law at twelve, when he infiltrated a high level imperial function by jumping into the harvester's "stomach" After being chastised by the planetary governor (and banned from tinkering with the agridroids), Brin was given a small replica of an imperial duty uniform, which kindled his interest in the armed forces.
No other work experience.
Hobbies: Through all his time on starships, Brin has become an ace Holo-chess player.
In addition, Brin has some ability with the Kloo Horn.
Tragedies: His father's MIA status. To this day, Brin does not know whether his father is alive, dead or a rebel. The idea of possibly facing off against his father is one that Brin has nightmares about.
Brin also considers his younger brother's enlistment in the TIE Corps as a minor tragedy. Brin thinks his brother has neither the skill or experience to face the threat of active duty. Brin has been pulling as many strings as possible to ensure Rez is transferred to Epsilon, so he can be 'protected'.
Rez naturally, has other ideas. There is also no data to suggest he is inferior to Brin in any capacity.
Phobias and Allergies: Fear of Retreat. Brin has been known to turn off his communicator to continue an engagement. If he doesn't hear the order to retreat, he doesn't believe it's insubordination.
Brin is petrified of losing his brother on active duty, to the point where he can be overly protective, flying cover at the expense of mission objectives. This fear of losing his family may have dark consequences...
No major allergies. Nose turns red after smelling Bruallki.
Personal View of the Empire and EH: Brin sees the Empire as a noble organization which exists the further security and peace in the galaxy. Brin has been caught up in the euphoria of striking back at the New Republic.
Reason for enlisting in the EH: Brin has been a powerless refugee for most of his short life, hopping from one system to another staying a few sectors ahead of Rebel expansion. Now, Brin has the opportunity to face down his fears, the rebels, and the spectre of his father.
Other Comments: Brin's callsign was formerly "Wightknight" coined from his apparent ability to strike out of no-where while serving in Delta's recon unit. At the commencement of his WC tenure, he was redesignated "Paladin" as a result of his strong yet often misguided convictions.
