A fairly big week. For those of you who aren't in Typhoon...Cyric has allowed us to open Cyclone squadron, which will once again bring the Challenge up to six active squadrons! To fill it, it was decided to, unfortunately, break up Typhoon Squadron. They've been a great squad, and their activity has been...just...huge! Words can't do them justice. By splitting them up into the two squadrons, it'll allow for a bit more growth. Both squads will retain a solid core of active members, and will be able to recruit new people and Reservists into their squads. Hopefully, as a result of this, we will have two "Typhoon" type squadrons in a few months--two completely filled squadrons that are outflying entire battlegroups.
So yeah. That's the big news of the week. The transfer requests have been sent in. I'm merely waiting on the Flight Office to perform said transfer requests, so bear with us.

* Locke is on a short Leave of Absence as he finished some RL moving stuff. I'd like to say it's all very interesting. But I'd be lying. As a result, I'm in charge...and it's getting ugly, folks!
* Some medals! Congrats to LCM Impulse on his ISM, MAJ Dan Bonini on his PC and MoI, LT Glenn on his ISM, MAJ Azurin Luna on her ISM, CM Alexi Stukov on his ISM, and CPT Dujhod on his ISM! If you didn't get a medal...fear not! Not quite all the MSE medals have made it through yet, so just be patient! :P
* Congrats to SL Gward who was promoted to LT this week!
* Everyone welcome SL Krulos Helrond, who joins Tempest squad this week straight from the Daed!
* If you've been doing activity like SWG or Freeworlds, make sure you let your CMDR's know! It counts as activity!

1. TIE Corps Battlegroup Training Night. The TCBG sponsored MP night. Show up in IRC channel #EHCOC on Saturdays at 6pm GMT (1pm EST) to win LoC's and DFC's!
2. Challenge letterhead Comp. This is a graphic comp to design a letterhead/watermark/symbol/logo/badge for the various units aboard the ISD Challenge. This type of graphic would be something that could be used on all authorial Challenge/Wing X documentation. There will be three categories: a graphic for the ISD Challenge, a graphic for Wing X, and graphic(s) for the Squadrons of the Challenge. The best graphic submitted for the Challenge, and the best one for the Wing will win an IS-SR each. The best graphic for each squadron will receive an IS-BR. Only rule is: you can only submit one graphic to each category. So you can't submit a graphic for each squadron. Deadline is the end of June.
3. WC Report Template. I've come to the conclusion that my report formats are boring. While putting together my latest Wing Report, I happened to glance at the week's BGCOM report, full of it's neat format and somewhat creative graphics. I decided I need something new and cool and less sucky than my current text-only one. As I am fairly uncreative, unimaginative, etc., I've decided to make it a comp! Design a neat report format for me! Winner gets an IS-SR and will probably see their template in my future reports, and runner-up gets an IS-BR. Deadline is the end of June.
A new, random, IRC-inspired comp starts on Wednesday! Details to be released then!

-===Conclusion===-
Alright...let me shuffle some papers, and see what we got for this weeks grand finale.
First off, George says that both Kate, and the name "Lola," are sexy.
Secondly, Kate rocks, what would we do without her?
Oh. And I was playing the "Home Run Derby" on my X-box, the "All Star Baseball 2004" game, and I want to share with you a line that the announcers use occasionally after a hard hit ball: "You can call that ball sushi, cause it is one dead fish." I'm not sure what that means...but there you have it.
