Cube is doing great. He is 2 short of Fusilier rank in the FCHG. Excellent work!

There are 2 new sections in the report. They are Competitions and Run-on/Story. This is where I will place all of the information on each into. If we start a run-on in the Alpha mailing list or message board, I will put the next installment here.

Squadron Orders
Get these missions flown!
TC 7, 175
TF 8 through 14 (the Ronin files)
TF 208

TC 175 (Escape from Coruscant) and Free TIE 208 (Talons' first patrol) are not in our citations. The others are our original Grand Admiral's created files. Let us get these done, folks. Remember you can fly any platform available for FCHG points regardless of what training company you originated from. I started in TIE95 and have flown XvT and XWA. Let us show what Alpha is capable of. I was unable to fly because of the extreme heat in the house. Computers do not work very well in 115 F heat index very long.

Squadron Concerns
None at this time.

Competitions
I would like to have it noted that my competition for Alpha banner has been approved. Details are as follows:

Competition Name/Title Alpha needs a new banner
Start Date (mm/dd/yy) 6/6/2005
End Date (mm/dd/yy) 6/30/2005
Parties Involved Wing I
Missions/Battles Used None
Medals to be Awarded IS-BR for the winner.
Miscellaneous Information Create the new Alpha Squadron banner. Must include the motto and squadron Nickname, and a Wing and Ship reference

As noted, this is for the entire wing. Artists, get to work!

Whom shall we challenge to a fight? Beta? Epsilon? Omega!??!? We have 30 days to decide. Tell me who you want to challenge and why. Hell, put it into a story line!

Run-on/Story
Major Talons Pryde sat in his office and reread the Ship Report. He then checked the rest of his paperwork to see if there was a mistake. Reiss had been promoted according to Steale. He did not see it. This was not good. He checked the official roster and still did not find any information on a promotion for Reiss. He then tapped out a correction hoping he would not get the "Proton" treatment or worse. 'Oh well. If I do, I do.' he thought to himself.
He did notice something interesting, though. Vice Steale had put out the call for a squad on squad competition. "This could get interesting," he mused aloud. His mind raced at all the reasons he could challenge each and every squad in Wing I. Vengence on Beta, audacity on Omega, and gloating over Epsilon. He decided to leave the overall challenge decision up to the squad. He had 5 very good pilots below him in the chain. Kahooli, Gunny, Cube, Jenn, and Roger. Any one of them could push the envelope when it mattered.
Jenn was on a short term leave of absence for personal reasons. So he had 4 available. Kahooli was going into a homeworld leave of absence as he had been called from home to serve for them. Very honourable. So that made 3. Plus himself when his fighter was not shorting out, overheating, or otherwise insulting him when he fired up the engines. 'Damned droid brain. I knew putting that thing in was going to cost me patrol time,' he swore silently to himself. At least he was not the only one having troubles.
Brin was just released to light duty from his painful jaunt a few months ago. Talons thought about introducing him to his specially made crash webbing. It was similar to his old battlemech's webbing with a slight modification. Since his very painful collision (that, incidentally, had removed him from duty for nearly a full year), he had an extra heavy lining added to the pilot seat. He had to remove the ejection launcher to do so, but it was worth it.
Talons looked around the room and fell into a deep introspect where thoughts were lost in the subconcious. He came out of his sleep-like state to the sound of a beeping at his door. He sensed for the presence on the other side and was pleased that it was someone he knew. "Enter," he called.
Gunman, "Gunny" as he prefered, walked in sweating and a bit out of breath. "I need this processed ASAP," he shot as he tossed the flight recorder on the desk.
Talons looked at the Colonal and picked up the info-chip, plugged it in and asked "What is the hurry?"
"Just look," breathed Gunny heavily.
Talons scanned the report and his mouth dropped in amazement. "Madre coup -- Wow!" He looked to his pilot an smiled. This was going to be a great day.

Commander's Rant
I hate my computer. I almost threw it out the door yesterday when it insulted me about not having any drives while I was using it. How annoying! I had to take everything apart and put it all back together. Then I found out that my saving was not working and had to redo nearly 3 hours of work over. I really wanted to throw it right out the front door, into the street, and bash it with my wooden katana. Talk about really getting my goat.

Final Words
Look at the roster everyone. This has our entire standings and FCHG points listed. I know it seems to be just another boring report from your commanders but note that these reports impart information to us all. Read these here or on line in the squadron reports.

With all respect,

Major Talons Pryde, Alpha Squadron commander of Wing I on board the Sovereign class SuperStar Destroyer Sovereign, reporting.
