- The Great
Cyclone FCHG Race #1 is
over! Final standings are Lt. Phelan with 37 points; Cm. Dulcatos
with 22 points; Fink and Marlin with 16 points apiece; and Blenheim
with 5 points. My unofficial total was 36 points. Congrats to Phelan
and Dulcatos!
Your medals are in the mail guys. - Stay tuned
for a forthcoming run-on. Yes I'm excited too. =P - Wing X is
the Flight Office's Own! We flew like 2500 missions in two month.
I'm pretty sure that TK and I accounted for 1400 hundred of those.

But this is only the first step toward the awesomeness that is the
Demolition Crew's destiny. We must learn to grasp the fact that we
are the best squadron in the fleet. We must develop a swagger that
is unmatched in the TIE Corps, and we must understand the importance
of being awesome.

Commander Kate Flyer, On the Importance of Being Awesome
What a great
week for Cyclone Squadron! Our flying has been generally good, I've
been getting a lot of good ideas from flight leaders and, best of
all, Cyclone has bested Tempest Squadron in head-to-head competition.
=D Medals have been recommended and will be in the mail soon. I've
already said it a couple times, but I want to reiterate how proud
I am of this squadron, and the direction that we're going. I forsee
many great things ahead for the Demolition Crew. =)
Tempest
vs Cyclone
-
Cyclone has defeated Tempest Squadron, garnering the top 3 out of
4 spots! Special mentions go to Maj.
Fink, who score 60K and wrote an excellent little guide
to getting high scores, and Cm. Dulcatos,
Cyclone's top scorer. Excellent work guys.
- Wing X meetings
are 6:00 EST on Sundays in #wing_x. Join us for amusing trivia and
news from around the fleet.

Competition between the Battlegroups. It should be considered a priority!
Ill be bugging everybody about this for as long as it runs!
Frodo
is hosting the annual TAC FCHG competition. 'Cloners with mission
creation skilled are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and create
a six mission battle. Winner takes home an IS-PR. I'm working on my
submission right now. =P
- Khadgar's NL competition
Khadgar
wants more submissions, so he is hosting a submission competition
for the NL. The best submitted graphics and the best fic each garners
a shiny IS. The fic is based on the guidelines that he's posted.
- Cyclone Trivia
Each week, I will be sending out a set of trivia questions to the
mailing list. Answer as many correctly as you can, win a prize at
the end of the month if you answer the most. Standings are Marlin
- 6.
Not so much a competition as an ongoing event. Cyclone members are
encouraged to maintain a blog on the MB detailing their activity,
their thoughts, etc. Coranel apparently likes this idea enough that
he's starting his own blog soon. =P
It is completely inspired by about 15 minutes of inanity on #wing_x.
Coranel thinks it's George's fault, but he is not entirely sure. Anyhow,
here's the lowdown. Each of you is to submit to Coranel a list of
names that you think are just incredibly sexy. The names that just
turn you on. There will be two categories: guy names and girl names.
Feel free to submit a list for both categories. Submissions will go
to Coranel, and will be "graded" by him, and anyone else
he feels like making help him. For each category, an IS-SR to the
person with the "best" names, and IS-BR to the runner-up!
Deadline is the end of June!!!
Your task is to design a letterhead/watermark/symbol/logo/badge for
the various units aboard the ISD Challenge. This type of graphic would
be something that could be used on all authorial Challenge/Wing X
documentation.
Three categories for this: a graphic for the ISD Challenge, a graphic
for Wing X, and a graphic for the squads of the Challenge. Coranel
is not looking for new banners to go on the TC site.
Best entry into the Ship/Wing category gets an IS-SR. The best entry
for each squad gets an IS-BR. The only rule is you can only enter
one squad entry. In example, LT Billy Bob can't send in a graphic
for three different squads; only to one squad. He could have a max
of three entries (ship, wing, and a squad one). Thanks to CM TK-9780
for this comp idea. Submissions go to Coranel.
This is the "Design the WC a sexy report template" comp.
Basically, Coranel stumbled across Bubba's neat report when he was
doing his wing report this past week, and decided that if Bubba can
have a cool looking report, he too needs a cool looking report. As
Coranel is fairly unimaginative and uncreative, he is leaving it to
you, the pilot people, to make him a neat report format. It should
have the categories that his usual reports have. Winning one gets
an IS-SR and will most likely be used, with the runner-up getting
an IS-BR. Submissions also go to Coranel.

Every week, I select a pilot who's high activity and excellence served
as an example for all Cyclone pilots. The selected pilot earns an
IS-BR at the end of the month, and their profile is enshrined for
the week on the Cyclone Squadron website.
Congratulations
to Commander Dulcatos,
who garnered Cyclone's high score for the Tempest competition and
came in second in the Cyclone FCHG race. Not a bad day's work, Commander.
