Ship News

-Coming to the end of the month this week, we have a number of significant news anouncements. Most noteworthy, though, is that the Challenge flew a grand total of 1084 missions in the month of April!! That's an incredible number, and certainly surprising for what is traditionally a slow month in the TC. You would be hard pressed to find any other ship who could compare to that amount of flying, and indeed we were responsible for over half of the total missions for the entire Battlegroup. The most credit for that grand total though, goes to Typhoon Squadron, who provided the vast bulk of that number. And of Typhoon Squadron, the most credit goes out to CM TK-9780 and LT Katherine Cantor Flyer, who flew 324 and 310 missions respectfully. That's an *amazing* performance by both of them, and I will be more then pleased to award them something rather special very soon :)

-As such, it should come as no surprise that Typhoon Squadron is this month Squadron of the Month, and CM TK-9780 is this month's Pilot of the Month. Congrats to all Typh pilots for an amazing job done this month, continuing your domination of the PotM award as well as finally pulling away with that SotM award :)

-In comp-related news, our Grey Wolf comp got eaten by the BGCOM, who decided to turn it into a TCBG vs ASF comp. Unfortunetly, the ASF, due to immence cowerdiance on their part, turned town the comp. They claim it to be due to IS, which evidently means they are incapable of walking and chewing gum at the same time, or are just, in fact, terrified of being humiliated by a obvious superior force such as ourselves.

Therefore, in a bit of a change, I've decided to move on challeging the SSD Avenger to a competition. The Avenger is two wings big, but I do not believe that will at all prove a detriment to our ability to crush them. Because the Avenger is the entire ATF, we'll be facing off against an entire Battlegroup... and let's face it: that's hot. They also have the option of turning down our comp because of "IS", but hey, if they're that cowerdly and rightfully afraid of us, there's just not much we can do. But we'll see if they're up to the Challenge regardless.

-In more ship-related news, adamant-half-nudist SL Dark Darklighter was promoted to Lieutenant, and Prost did activity in the way of an IWATS course. He claims to have been drunk and have no memory. I do not doubt him.

-This week, mine and Impulse's IMC-match frees were released to the fleet. Check them out! They're TIE-FREE 252 - The Promotion Party of AD BubbaX(mine) and TIE-FREE #253 - Save the Alcohol(Impulse)

-Tommorrow should signify the return of WC LC Coranel Both from Texas. We hope :P

-This week's #TCBG meeting proved to be entertaining when only Chal officers and Immortal officers showed up, causing LC Chris McCollum to provide news about the Relentless's recent accidents and deaths of new recruits, as well as ImmWC Spearhawk's Colossus report detailing a sighting of the Colossus largely believed to actually just be a weather balloon. Trivia was on Imm and Chal officers, and won by our own TorCMDR LC Chris McCollum.

-I was awarded a SS this week by the TAC office for finally reaching enough beta points that they had to give me something for wasting my life away there ;P Was pretty nifty and rather unexpected, so yay :)

Well, so we come to a close for the month of April. A fun month, certainly, but as you've been reading from the reports, I'm looking to get us involved in a comp against another ship and have some fun crushing them as we show them why we're the best ship in the TC. Congrats again to Typhoon for such an amazing performance this month. My hopes are they'll continue to do well, but I also hope to see another squad give them some more competition for the month of May ;)

Respectfully Submitted,
