Major Clegane Reporting in for Hades Squadron

HADES NEWS

Made a couple more adjustments to the report layout.  Relatively minor.  Got the nice new contents list at the top with hyperlinks.   I also adjusted the colors a bit.  Let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions for in the future.  Also, let me know if there’s anything you’d like to see in future reports.  If the navigation hyperlinks are not working I apologize, they may not work in some email message formats.  You can always look at it in full html format on the TC site for Hades reports, which is linked below.

I am working on a few competition ideas in the coming weeks. 

v      Expect a graphics comp, flying comp, and possible fiction and run on comps.

v      Proposed Competitions, I will let you know when they are going to start when they get approval:

o        Fiction Comp:  Write a short story about Hades Squadrons performance in an ‘Assassination’ Mission against a New Republic Admiral.

o        Graphics Comp:  Design a Hades Banner

o        Flying Comp:

v      Look for a series of comps to celebrate my 1 year anniversary as Hades Commander as well (which will be in July).  These Competitions’s will follow the above competitions.

IMC Match moved

Due to circumstances beyond my control I am forced to move todays IMC Semi final match to next saturday, at the same time as the match between CM Fahrer and VA Locke.

More information on this will be supplied to the pilots soon.

However, the flying challenge did end today, LT Blackrage has taken the high score and will be awarded the IS-BW! Congratulations!

IWCOM Open For Applications

Overview

The position of Infiltrator Wing Commander (IWCOM) involves the day-to-day operations and oversight of the subgroup, as well as development, implementation and follow-through of competitions and other activities for the entire subgroup. Appointment and review of IW command staff are also key duties for this position.

Selection Criteria – Essential

1. Experience at some level of command.
2. Good written communication skills
3. An acceptable level of presence in online media, such as IRC, message boards, etc.
4. Fast email response time.
5. The ability to work with a wide range of EH personnel, including the Fleet Commander.

Selection Criteria – Desirable

1. Proven evidence of exceptional performance in a command position
2. Prior experience in the Infiltrator Wing.

Addressing the Selection Criteria

When addressing the selection criteria, you must supply supporting evidence to back up your claim of meeting the criteria. A generally accepted model is the STAR model, where you outline a Situation, Task, Action and Resolution relating to the criteria. You should meet at least the essential criteria to be considered for the position.

References

You must include at least three (3) references in your application. At least one must be a current or former superior (preferably current). Ensure you have their permission first. If it is found out that you have used someone's name without their permission, your application will be disqualified.

Performance Management

Performance will be evaluated in a number of key areas. These include submission of reports, number of complaints from members, online conduct, achieving tasks and duties outlined in the Training Manual, as well as tasks outlined in the EH Tasks List for this position. Above average performance will be rewarded, while below average performance, if continual, will result in removal from the position.

Submitting Your Application

Applications should be directed to the Fleet Commander (fc@emperorshammer.org) with the subject "Application for IWCOM". The application should include your response to the selection criteria and other relevant details, such as your ID line and contact details.

ASFBGCOM and ISD GreyWolf Com Selected!

I have selected a new ASF BGCOM and a new ISD Grey Wolf Com. I realize that it has only been two days since I posted for applications, but I didn't give a deadline for a reason...I wanted to see who was the most interested in the positions and who has the online frequency need for the positions, especially for the ASF BGCOM position.

With this in mind I have selected VA Gidda as the next ASF BGCOM.

For the ISD GreyWolf, the current WC, LC Crimsonfury has been promoted to the rank of RA and given command of the Grey Wolf!

Iron Mission Creation Match reminder!

Just a reminder that there is an Iron Mission Creation match between CPT Daar Skeloria and FA Den Darkhill this sunday at 1300hrs EST.

This is a semi-final match, hence the winner will go on to the finals.

Another reminder that the flying challenge is still on this week, the high score holder for TIE Free 254 this sunday will receive an IS-BW or SW!

Prefect Open For Applications

The position of Prefect requires an individual well versed in Star Wars first person shooter (FPS) games and other appropriate platforms for the Hammer's Fist. The successful candiate will be expected to be a leader in the adoption of Star Wars and non-Star Wars platforms for his subgroup.

Selection Criteria – Essential

1. Experience at some level of command.
2. Good written communication skills
3. An acceptable level of presence in online media, such as IRC, message boards, etc.
4. Fast email response time.
5. The ability to work with a wide range of EH personnel, including the Executive Officer and Fleet Commander.

Selection Criteria – Desirable

1. Proven experience in turning around an aspect of the EH
2. Prior experience in the organisation of large scale competitions and activity events

Initial Work Plan

1. Generation of consistent activity within the Hammer's Fist
2. Draft an implementation plan for the use of Star Wars Battlefront and other game platforms in the Hammer's Fist.
