Greetings from the place where Natalie Portman and Carrie Fisher are BOTH wearing skimpy outfits from Jabbas Palace... its the B-H-G!
Episode 3 came out this weekend! Don't worry, we wont try and break the news as if it is our own. But we in the BHG will surely be benefiting from the floodgate of star wars fans on the net in the next few months. We are trying to make the most of this recruiting opportunity. Star Wars may not be what keeps us in the BHG, it is what brought us here. Once people see the community we have here, they will be hooked no matter when their star wars fanboy status fades.
We have a few disciplinary matters to take care of, as we are trying to live up to the statements posted proudly on our message board about respect and creating a fun atmosphere, more here when it develops.
Hall of Fame balloting will be released Saturday. We will find out in about a month if anyone makes it in to the hall. In my estimation there are at least 2 in the retirees currently that could make a serious run. As you know, HoF balloting only happens semi-annually, January and in June for the BHG Anniversary. There have been a few rumors of various things that are going to happen to coincide with this event, but we don't want to confirm to much just yet, but over the next few weeks we will have more details.
What we do know is that the BHGs crown jewel, the Kabal Authority Games will be on display to coincide with the Anniversary and the Episode 3 release. This should be an exciting time for the BHG membership, as well as to our recruiting efforts. We also have some administrative news to pass along. We have a new Proctor in Lars. He was previously the Chief of Skylla kabal. It was a natural extension of what he was trying to accomplish there, and he is a veteran chief that will be ab to help the new guys learn the ins and outs of the position.
But our superefficient new JUD was not done, he filled the Skylla chief position with the CRA SuperSmash. He has shown great activity and has gone above and beyond in his efforts to be capitalize on the recruiting opportunities that Episode 3 brings. So we are sitting pretty good.
