Battlegroup Commander's Prologue | ||
Greetings pilots, Currently we have some great activities going on for all of your ATF pilots: Andrijas' 4 Year Anniversary Competition will already end today but participation s far seems fine, esp. in Ladders After Kane's return AvD is continued and I already received some exciting requests from pilots asking me for information to complete their assignement BG COMs Judgement seems quite fine - ends today as well - check it out ! I want to congrat Andrijas for his 4 Year Anniversary in the TIECorps, as well as von Predator, Earnim Branet and Drake for their 1 Year Anniversary in TIECorps - all my wildest dreams come true. Nevertheless we also have some sad news like the resignement of COL Andrijas as Wing Commander of Wing XVIII - you have done great work here, Andrijas ! Also current membership is not very nice - we are dropping pilots and no new ones coming around - go out there and recruit - this is not just a BG COM/COM/WC/CMDR task - everyone needs to do this ! |

Taken from ATF Battle Boards: Match #0013: Bryan vs. TK-2107 Bryan --- I'm about to duel with the BGCOM over something as stupid as spilling my lunch on his shoes. We're about to go head to head because of something like that?!?! I can't believe this is happening to me! "Are you ready, Scum?" Came the hiss over the comms. "I'm about to show you and the whole fleet that this is just as stupid as the last time you fought someone. And maybe your death will get the CS's attention and let them stop this madness of dueling once and for all!" I said with as much courage as I could muster. "Your as pathetic as your father was, Bryan!" He said from behind his black mask. "You will not live long enough to repeat those words, TK-2107!" I yelled and threw my fighter into full-throttle for a head on collision. I didn't care about myself anymore, he had just crossed the line, and my life for ending his was a fair trade. "Foolish Captain, you think you can go head to head with the best!?!?" He yelled as he also threw his fighter into full-throttle. It seems we have a game the Earthlings like to call, 'Chicken.' I started to sweat all of a sudden, and fealt dizzy. Am I about to end my life over words? Yes. We were about to collide when... TK-2107 --- ... TK-2107 returned from his toughts and suddenly realized the reality again. A TIE Fighter coming in closer and nearly colliding with his own craft. With sudden reflexes he had used ever since he joined the Dark Brotherhood he pulled the TIE hard to the left and avoided the collision that would have blasted both TIEs and nothing but shards would have been left. 'How could it have come to this ?', TK thought. In the moment he was sitting in the SSD Avenger's cantina and drinking his Corellian Ale and in the next moment somehow dizzyied himself he had accepted the challenge of a drunken pilot. Later when it was already announced in the Avenger's channel and both opponents were able to think clearly again it was too late to stop the match. Since the last months TK-2107 had learned about the comfort of sitting in a shuttle and having his BG COM's Escort covering it. It was a more comfortable way of travelling than sitting in a fighter. But he had always been a pilot coming from the lowest ranks of a Sub-Lieutenant and one day being promoted to full Admirality. So once he was in the flightsuit the old memories of the cold space and the feeling of near-death in the small cabine of a TIE returned. Quickly TK checked his rear sensors to see Bryan turning around his TIE. He slowed down his breath and thought about the foolish challenge this young hotspot had put on him - a BG COM. He grinned as the evil feelings of hate and anger grew stronger. The bound between the Dark Side of the Force and himself was laid. No longer controlling his actions actively his left hand pulled hard the stick to turn around the TIE while his right hand adjusted the Laser Battery Bank to give the opposing fighter a deadly shot once the turn would be completed. Bryan --- Death post I saw the fighter turn, but why didn't I realize that he was going to fire? I just kept going towards him while he charged his lasers. Maybe I thought he was slower because he was older than me and because he was always guarded and never the guard of his own life. It seems, however, that I misunderstood his full strength and ties with the Force. "It can't be!" I yelled as the massive fire ripped into my fighter, and within a second or two I was dead. Seems I challenged the wrong person, and for that I lost my life. TK-2107 --- Death post The opposing TIE exploded in a huge fireball and seconds later nothing more was left except a single TIE solar panel slowly floating in deep space. 'What a waste of good pilots', TK thought. Then he noticed the bound to the Force growing weaker and he began to realize his surrounding. In front of him the sensors still told him of the successsful kill while elsewhere he saw the metal of the training cabin. TK-2107 opened the cockpit of the Training TIE and smelled the fresh air of the Combat Chamber. To the left of him a slightly frustrated Bryan was already climbing out of his Training TIE. TK smiled. "You still have much to learn, Bryan." And he remembered that it was always a good experience for even skilled pilots to get killed in Trainings for them realizing that they're not all-powerful. He walked to the man that had been his opoonent for the last minutes and gave him a hugh. "Let's get a drink in the cantina." |
