Lyccos II is a dying world. Lyccos I is already unihabitable because, Veriats, the Lyccos system's sun, is an expanding red giant. The Reconnaissance Office's archaeologists have virtually free reign over the surface of the planet because most of the population lives in caverns underground because of the immense heat on the surface. The planet is an archaeologist's dream, and has vast remains of structures, records and art from an ancient civilization. Evidence suggests that the civilization died out because of starvation, thirst and/or disease due to the expanding sun. The cavern

system that has developed is immense, and numerous cavern-states fight for the limited resources of the planet. Many Huttese, Human, Sullustan and Twi'lek states exist, but three particular factions have emerged of late as the most powerful. Perhaps the most interesting is that under Prince Vakaro, a leader of reputable skill and cunning. Vakaro has the respect of friends and foes alike, and is a valued trading partner of the Empire. The Fleet Commander is said to watch his faction with great interest. The second faction of note is the immense crime syndicate led

by Sagga the Hutt. He rules the region of the caverns known as Specus Hutta through fear and criminal activities. He and is fellow Hutt lords will stop at nothing to kill all opposition to their power internally and externally. It is also rumored that he has lucrative trade dealings in the Dar'Telis System. The third faction of note is a Sullustan faction, which is made up of Sullustans that escaped the regime of the SoroSuub Corporation. They are led by Qril Darg, who is held to be supported by the Rebellion. The Sullustans have adapted well to the caverns, because of the similiarities to their homeworld of Sullust.

Travel Advisory Warnings: The planet's surface is highly recommended as a travel destination as long as proper precautions are taken to combat the planet's heat. The ancient ruins are sure to be a favorite of anyone that enjoys the study of historical cultures. Travel in the undergound labyrinth is permitted, but is potentially dangerous. Most factions would not risk upsetting the Empire to tip the balance of power against them, but the colonists of the planet should be considered largely hostile to the Empire none the less. It is recommended that you travel to this area by an Imperial controlled repulsorlift barge, and wear a breathing mask.

Yridia II was colonized about fourty years ago for its minerals that could be mined and refined for use by the Imperial Navy. Unfortunately, the planet became a place for dissidents within the Empire. Although an Imperial Viceroy in the form of Baron Pical Irthir resides in the Imperial Government Center, the Empire has a limited sphere of influence on the planet. This sphere is limited to the mining and factory operations providing resources for the TIE Corps. The rest of the planet is considered highly dangerous, which is not surprising, given that many people were sent to the world due to their hatred of the principles of the Empire.
|
After the removal of most garrisons from Yridia II, the planet plunged into a state of anarchy outside of Imperial operations. After years of bloodshed, the planet has of late been largely united under coercion by Kira Fesk. Her small group of brigands has expanded to control the most important areas of the planet other than mining operations. With minimal contact Empire and no known contact with the Rebellion, the planet is essentially free for Fesk to rule. The Prefect of the Hammer's Fist is ordering special precautions be taken by the garrisons on Yridia II in case Fesk makes any moves against the Imperial controlled

regions of the planet. It is also feared that the Rebels may attempt to start uprisings on the planet in an attempt to occupy the planet and take over Imperial mining operations. It is known that Kira's father, Wolfgang Fesk, was an active critic of Emperor Palptine. Palpatine had a bounty for a considerable sum for Wolfgang's capture. The Fleet Commander does not maintain a similar bounty for Kira, as she has been quiet on matters of galactic politics. It is not known if Wolfgang is dead or still lives among the brigands led by his daughter. If he surfaces again, it could change the situation dramatically.

Travel Advisory Warnings: Stay within Imperial regions of the planet! It is likely that you would be at least robbed, and probably killed by any number of sociopaths and dissidents that reside on the planet. It is unknown what designs the brigands that control the planet have. Therefore, in the interest of not provoking conflict, the Lord Ambassador has officially prohibited contact with any planetary natives outside the Imperial controlled regions of the planet. Any violations of this policy will be met with swift discipline from the High Court Inquisitors, provided the person lives to make it out of the area.

Lantare I is essentially a vast desert, but was still deemed a suitable colony by the Imperial Survey Corps. The planet's assets lie in its metals, local luxuries, and vast underground water reserves. Since the first Imperial garrisons were lifted from Lantare I twenty-four years ago, the planet has gone into a period of feudal rule to stay anarchy. Rulers come to power through political influence or military might. The current ruler of the planet is one Commandant Shrrinn Kruaan, a Bothan who rules the planet with an iron fist! He invokes laws ad hoc, and has no regard for legal process.
|
Shrrinn Kruaan |
Kruaan came to power by killing the former Commandant in a "rule by combat" ceremony. He is rumored to rule the planet from a secret palace within the largest colony, Jaggerbund. It is said that he executed an unwitting colonist that found the location of his private palace. It is also known that he controls Spice production on the planet. Hidden factories on the planet produce targa, which is a very good imitation of the Spice found on Kessel. This lucrative enterprise also serves to strengthen Kruaan's grip on the planet. Most people on Lantare I are addicted to this local Spice,
|
which produces a high without too many side effects. It is a local saying that, "Whoever controls the Spice, controls Lantare." It should be noted that the Emperor's Hammer is currently active in trying to depose Kruaan, and has placed two Imperial garrisons on the planet. Many unsuccessful searches have been conducted for the elusive Bothan by the Hammer's Fist and Bounty Hunter's Guild. The Fleet Commander has offered a reward of one million Imperial Credits for any person that can supply information or direct aid that leads to the removal of Shrrinn Kruaan from power.
|
Travel Advisory Warnings: Putting aside the hostilities of the native populace towards outsiders and the ruthless rule of the Commandant, other warnings should be noted for those planning to stop on Lantare I. As mentioned, the local Spice is highly addictive. Consuming any Spice is a Class-I Imperial felony, and will be met with swift discipline from the High Court of Inquisitors. Further, the planet is made perilous by its desert terrain. Don't count on local merchants for water supplies! Lastly, the interiors of equatorial regions of the planet have been officially delcared "off limits" because of hostile reptilian, insect and mammalian species.

Dar'Telis I is something of an enigma to the Empire. To residents of the Minos Cluster, the planet is known as "Tyrranus". The Tyrranians were relatively introverted until the Empire explored the Minos Cluster, and have since been immensely interesting in trading, especially in the area of technology. However, the planet is considered dangerous. The planet's inhabitants have a callous disregard for the lives of outsiders. It is known that Sagga the Hutt and other leaders on Lyccos have procured lucrative trade contracts with the Tyrranian leadership. The President of the

Corporate Division is rumored to have a great interest in the potential trade venues for the Empire with local merchants. This interest is only surpassed by that of the Fleet Commander and the Prefect of the Hammer's Fist. Through smuggler contacts, Imperial Intelligence has determined that the famous Lieutenant General Miles Carruthers and his equally famous unit, the Black Legion, reside on the planet. The Black Legion contains Stormtrooper regiments, and a company of the hallowed Imperial Walkers. Carruthers was a highly respected figure in the Imperial Army, and was sent to the Minos

Cluster because of his battle savvy and fierce loyalty to the Emperor. Carruthers quickly brought the colonists on Lantare back into line after local terrorists attempted to sabotage Imperial rule. The Black Legion was then given its hardest task: Bring Dar'Telis into the Empire. During the preparations for occupation, the Emperor's demise came about at Endor. Carruthers decided not to proceed with the invasion given the lack of possible resources and intervention from the core worlds. Instead, the Legion is said to have settled down and carved out its own trading faction.
|
Travel Advisory Warnings: The main reasons for travelling to this world are either trade or seeking out the Black Legion. It is noteworthy that the Fleet Commander has offered a reward of eight million credits for any person that can successfully contact Carruthers on his behalf about joining with the Emperor's Hammer! However, the danger involved in attempting trade or conduct explorations of the planet is immense. In fact, it is widely iterated that most people that visit the planet do not come back! For the most part, it is recommended that this planet be avoided.
