Wing XIII Wing Report #11

Welcome to my 11th report. I would like to say not much has gone on in the wing this week.....however that would be a bit misleading. Not much notable activity, except for some early XvT WoW flying, but we've had an interesting week in command circles. I was also planning on not re-starting the GW Iron Star comps until next month, however I'm waiting on approval for a FCHG, CR and GFX to start for this month, retrospective to Thursday. This'll give everyone 2 weeks to do their best/worst in trying to win the competitions.

Fleet News;
- W00t....the FO now has a new Command Attache.....and guess who it is? Thats right, the ASF is taking over more of the CS/Assistant positions with FA Sarin taking up the position of CA:FO on top of his COO-ship. Congrats Sarin!
- Some new missions were released this week! You can now fly XvT-Free 177, 178 and 179, aswell as XWA-TC 46 and TIE-Free 250.
- The Revenge of the Sith trailer is now available.....if you didn't know that by now....what rock were you hiding under!?!?!?! Anyway, Ast posted links to both a 640x480 'normal' version and a higher resolution version in his TC news post. Check it out, if it's true to the trailer it looks like it'll be pretty kick ass!
- COO Sarin reminded us all of when each of the WoW's is on....if you dont know I suggest you read his post as I (along with the rest of the ASF flags I'm sure) would love to see WoW participation continue to grow.
- With the retirement this week of his former WC, LC Keller, HA Priyum Patel is after a new Wing XVI WC. Apply if you dare!
- Sarin also posted a reminder in his new role as CA:FO, in regards to reminding all CMDRs/WCs and COMs about handing in reports ON TIME. Don't forget people, and if you can get one done on time let everyone know and give a decent reason. If you dont, you may well find yourself on the way to losing your CMDRship, in accordance to Cyric's new rules.
- Oh and here's a little note from Lenvik - <Lenvik|031> Crim, mention the whole "Submit your damn squadron sites"

- The EH Domain was updated on tuesday with some news and events from around the fleet.
- AD Joe has set up a donations account for people to donate $$$ to help cover the costs of the EH booth at Celebration III. If you'd like to donate, go to the TC news page and click on the 'Make a Donation' button!
- It didn't take long for the ISD Colossus to choose a new WC....congrats to MAJ Chris Cox on getting the job!
- Frodo reminded the SWGB mission creators around that any battles you make for SWGB must be at least 4 missions long....dont know of anyone who plays GB here, nevermind make battles, but if you do....make sure you make 4+ missions.
- Frodo also gave us new links for the information pages on each of the various mission editors available for TIE, XvT and XWA. I encourage all budding mission makers and people just interested in it to check them out.
- Yes, you read right.....the GW needs CMDRs, if your interested email me and Yoda!
- Yesterday Frodo announced another Mission creation competition.....this time focusing on speed of completion. Interesting way to get more 'quality' free missions....

Wing News;
- Recruit, recruit, recruit!
- Alrighty, well from where I stand the yahoogroup is completely up to date.
- With the OPS retiring, we still have a few merit awards pending, these will now not be put through until a new OPS is chosen.
- Guess who is back! LC Kodiak Kereban thats who! Welcome back Kod, glad to see you come to your senses quickly ;)
- As above in the Fleet news, the GW now has 3 open CMDR spots with the retirement of Chrissy and Madon from Tartarus and Odin CMDR respectively, added to Phoenix CMDR. I'm hopefull that by weeks end we'll have at least two of these positions filled, but again, if anyone is interested please send in an application!
- CMDRs, dont forget to keep your reports coming in regularly, Cyric and Sarin are keeping an eye on commanders and the regularity of their reports.....dont let it slide and end up back as an FM when they demote you!
- As I mentioned last week, I have multiple competitions coming and starting soon. I'm currently awaiting approval from the TO for the restart of the Wolfpack FCHG, CR and GFX competitions, and I will have some mission/battle specific comps starting soon. I'm also looking at WoW incentives and having a Wing ladder to help to boost the MP activity in the wing and help people to earn CR points for the race!
- Keep an eye out for an interesting week or two people, there'll be new comps, new CMDRs and more (new) awards coming! Time to shake off the SC VII hangovers and get back to work!
- Wow....and just as I was about to send this report after checking my email for any awards from this week.....what do I find? A Promotion and Squadron assignment email....thats what! Everybody give a great big warm ISD Grey Wolf welcome to our newest member, CT Hamster God! Welcome!
