TRIAD – New message board at http://www.tcbg.net/ehpamb/ nearly finalized.
MAYOR – A trainer city, Malleus Imperium (Hammer of the Empire), has been crated on the outskirts of Talus to train up Kyy Terrak. Long term plans for the city are still being decided.
MILITIA – Clearing out space in Garrison to house Militia Fireteams. Still organizing competition details.
MEDICAL – Taking Applications for City Doctor. Poison/Disease Resist C buffs nearly finished.
EVENTS – Taking Applications for fulltime Event Coordinator (Role Playing Guru). Role playing quest with TCO in the works (P.o.C. Kyy). Plans include incorporating the new Event perks.
COMMERCE (From Commerce Manager - Krenn’sa) – The only thing Commerce Guild seems to be lacking in skill is a reliable DE and BE...
I believe the resources and crafted goods exchange between our citizens/crafters is thriving and doing well. But note that we can always use a constant influx of loot/resources for our crafters...When in doubt, I can offer to purchase the goods and post them on my resources vendor in town at reasonable rates (usually less/= to 3 cpu) for use by our SM crafters.
New Events
I am also pleased to report the following significant events for this past week (03.16.05 - 03.23.05):
- We have some new and interesting vendors/tents in SM...check them out on your next visit ! Our overall economy appears to be picking up steam. On a side note, we also seem to have 3-4 active tailors...odd...:)
- Armor sales are still in high gear, for the time being. However, with the pending combat upgrade (CU), armor stands to get seriously nerfed and the Armorsmith Community is more than a bit anxious since no real substantial changes have been posted due to the NDA. Doctors are not pleased at all with the proposed changes as meds crafting is apparently going to be dropped into the medic tree, effectively negating alot of the benefit of being a master doctor.
- As SM's Commerce Manager, I am already reviewing the SWG crafting forums on a semi-daily to weekly basis to keep abreast of pending changes that may impact our crafters.
- In the pending 'universal vendor' patch, from what I understand, people can basically browse item locations via any public bazaar vendor, get a waypoint to that vendor downloaded to their datapad, and then they have to travel there to go pick up the item...If anything, if we offer excellent goods at reasonable rates, we stand to make a killing! It should be noted that the Merchant Community is VERY against the idea of automatic sales/delivery to any purchase/bazaar location. That would kill the idea of individual shops, some of which are very carefully decorated. It is doubtful this will happen, but it is SOE so ya never know :)
- The SM Commerce Guild is pleased to report that all SM Militia Armor has been delivered (26 suits total). These are specially crafted 40% stun resistant composite armor suits, valued at ~ 1/2 mil credits/each. They are intended for player vs player (PvP) play only. The Commerce Guild requests that the City Militia try to use these only for the common defense of SM. But remember, repairs are free!
- A couple of new master crafters to announce: Tiger' is now a master weaponsmith (WS) and Derlin (aka Jansen) is now a Master Armorsmith working on his RIS crafting quest. As I am supplying him with rare resources, he should be able to make RIS in a few days too ! Way to go, guys ! If I missed anyone, please let me know !
- If any SM players have crafting skill tapes, please be sure to ask these folks if they need them to make their 12 pt suits.
- By next week's report, I should have a revised list of all of our active crafters, their professions and shop locations/WPs into the Director of Operations for his and the Guild's reference.
