This is Grand Master report #37 dating 14 March 2005
~ News ~
I have to apologize for the lateness of this report. I hoped if I push it a bit I could include the anouncement of the new KHP but I was mistaken. But on to news:
1. I will be on semileave during the next two weeks. The resaon is pressing university work I have to take care of. That means is that my online presence on IRC, ICQ and AIM can vary very strongly but my mail turn around rate still remains the same. So if you want to reach me in the near future better mail me then waiting for me to come on line.
2. As some of you are aware already I am studying archaeology. As an archaeology student it is necessary to get field experience at excavations. To such an excavation in Belize I will travel on April 13th for 10 weeks. I have already informed Ast and we discussed the matter. Although my internet access will be very much limited (basically mail only) we agreed that I will stay GM and will lead the DB via mail. That means for you, that virtually any and all communications with me has to happen via mail during that time. I am already anouncing this fact at this point and will repeat it through out the next weeks so everyone will have a chance to become aware of it.
3. The Message Boards suffered a critical failure last weekend and were completely wiped. To quote the COMM:
"Due to an unforseen technical glitch, the Message Boards have reset themselves. All previous content HAS been lost, barring some sort of celestial miracle. Please bear with us, boards will be re-added as soon as possible. If after this happens any boards have been missed out on, e-mail me at ehcomm@gmail.com
Sorry for the inconvenience."
That means we have to start over completely from scratch again. All unit commanders please rerequest your unit boards at the COMM's Office.
4. I need some one who owns Republic Commando and can give me an overview over the game and an evaluation of the different game modes etc.
~ Competitions ~
1. As usual the GMTC happens Saturdays at 12AM PST/3PM EST/8PM GMT/9 PM CET. Next issue is on Saturday March 19th.
GMTC supports all MP platforms available in the DB including especially Battlefront and even DIE now. Make sure the dates of the comp get spread through out the DB. There are still people asking when it actually happens. So spread the info about it.
The results of the latest edition on March 12th are as follows:
Obelisk:
1st: Scoser, with 12 points (4W/0L)
2nd: Gex Pieter, with 9 points (3W/0L)
3rd: Magnus Vader, with 6 points (2W/0L)
4th. Baron, with 5 points (1W/2L)
5th. (tied) Roulex, with 4 points (0W/4L)
5th. (tied) Nasra, with 4 points (0W/4L)
No Sith participation.
Seems the Obelisk had the GMTC all for themselves again - as usual I could almost say.
~ Projects ~
As usual the complete task list for my position, updated where progress or changes were made:
Grand Master
- Implementation of the Action plan
- Vendetta in the next 3 months
- Sort out varies issues as outlined in the action plan
A) Vendetta:
The Rite of Supremcy is over and done , everything is scored - this task is finished.
B) Action plan:
Since this is a rather big pile of tasks I use the segmentation in the plan itself:
1) Communications:
Promotion of good work:
"The GM shall make news posts and other promotional references on the following:"
- Merit awards of Grand Cross or higher - delegated to the CHAN report in the DC task plan
- Meeting trivia awards - done in my report when I get informed about the winners by the trivia host.
- All awards for competitions clan size or larger - right now done for my GMTC comp and delegated concerning other comps to the CHAN report. Added reporting of special comp events like the WoW to that section.
- All vendetta novas - all done - this point is finished
- Select promotions and appointments - Anouncements of all appointments are delegated to the MAA report in general as outlined in the DC task list DC and Clan summit elevations are anounced in my report as well.
- Select Shadow Academy course results - delegated to the HM report as outlined in the DC task list.
That means these tasks have been adressed, are currently executed and constantly minded by me and the other DC members every week.
2) Reports:
All Dark Council members will submit weekly reports to the following entities:
- Dark Council mailing list
- Consuls and Proconsuls
- Main site report system
Done by me since my first report and being told to the rest of the DC all the time and constantly monitored by me. Also outlined in the DC task list.
3) Policy Development:
Expansion/standardisation of the Industrial points system - Discontinued in the DB Think tank due to low feedback there. Currently I am starting up a different approach that hopefully will lead to success this time.
- Loot system - Plans for it will be proposed to Astatine the creator of the loot system in the near future.
- Enforcement of ranks, etc - Task completed. A new protocol by the MAA adressing that matter is in place and is enforced at all time
- appointment ranks - Task completed. A new protocol by the MAA adressing that matter is in place and is enforced at all time
- position pins - Task completed - avaible now as part of the new Grant of Arms.
- Lightsabers - Standard lightsabers are available in the dossiers for DJK+ , Custom Lightsabers will be worked on by the HRLD in the near future.
- GMRG - the existence of this society and use/aims of it will be discussed once the membership count has risen to an acceptable amount to justify an elite society of any kind.

I want to acknowledge the Obelisk Order in general for showing so much activity in the past weeks. Not only do they rock every week the GMTC but also they started to take on other Clubs now as the latest OHC report shows. Great job guys!
