- WING NEWS -

Heya pilots and welcome to my 10th WC report!
I start with very good news, medals for October MSE have been finally awarded and our Wing got 3 BSs, 3 PCs and 5 ISMs. Congratulations to all medal recipients, whose names can be seen below. Moreover CPT Drako has received a Silver Star of the Empire for his invaluable work as TACA and IOA and CPT Justin has received a Bronze Star for his ASF Map site. Well done!

More good news, congratulations to CPT Justin on his well deserved promotion to the rank of Major. Justin is also doing a lot of stuff for TAC so I wouldn't be too surprised to see another gift awarded to him soon, anyway I hope Mr. J won't forget to pay drinks to his Squadron and Flaggies ;-)

The Intrepid Realistic Combat competition is over and Krayt is the winning squadron! Congratulations to MAJ CrimsonFury, LCM Arid Foxtrot and LCM Cutter on being the best Team, three IS-SWs are on your way.

A new Wing-wide competition has started but this time it's a Gfx contest. You are to create a cool link banner for the Intrepid to be used in the EH Banner Exchange archive, IS-SR and IS-BR will be awarded for the two best submissions.

However, the most important competition right now is still the Beer Cup! You have exactly one week left to complete one of the three custom battles (TIE TC 211, XvT TC 75 and XWA TC 24) and send your pilot file to COM Frodo CCing your CMDR or CCing me in case you are a CMDR. Expect a nice reward in case you complete ALL three battles and as an incentive to participate in the Beer Cup I decided to award the title of WC's Own for the month of November to the squadron that will submit most pilot files. Fly, fly, fly!

November XvT WoW has started yesterday and it will run for the next two weeks, the whole TIE Corps is trying to get a good result in this WoW and I hope all MP pilots of this Wing will do their job. Remember that WoW matches aren't that hard plus you may try to recruit pilots from other Clubs and as usual the BGCOM will award medals to the three best ASF pilots. And now let me congratulate with the most active single player pilots of the week: MAJ CrimsonFury, LCM Arid Foxtrot and LT Calista FairBright who also received a Commendation of Bravery.

XvT Ship Patch VERSION 2.0 Released!

 The newest version of the EHSP for XvT has been released to the Patch Archive. It features a new .exe based installer made by AD Darkhill that is far more user friendly. (And works on all Windows versions).
This version also mends the former EHSP bug that made all bouys look like the probe capsule, fixes the XvT bug that kept the CORTs from firing their lasers, adds 13 new melees to allow MP with the new fighters and adds new models for the Sat/2 and Buoy/2.
(The sco mirror site is back up, all patches there have been updated. Especially for MP - always make sure to have the latest version.)

- COMPETITIONS REPORT -

2003 Beer Cup:
Start Date: 11/1/2003 
End Date: 11/30/2003 
Parties Involved: Intrepid, Vanguard and Sovereign 

Missions/Battles Used: TIE TC 211, XvT TC 75 and XWA TC 24

Medals to be Awarded: IS-GW, IS-SW and IS-BW to the top three pilots on each side, in each division.

Details: Sovereign vs Vanguard + Intrepid in TIE, XvT and XWA single-player battles. Top 30 pilot files on each side count toward the results in each division. Overall score of these top 30 scores per division determines the winner(s). Note: XvT division is Top 15 files. TIE scoring is laserless. Time of the comp: Nov. 1 through Nov. 30. Medals: The usual, IS-GW, IS-SW, IS-BW to top three in each division on each side. If you can only fly one or two battles, its fine! Just fly as many of them as you can! Participation is the key, and if you can, of course, go for the HS! Send all the Pilot files to COM Frodo and your Squadron Commander. CMDRs, send it to me and Frodo.
