W00T thats exactly 5 months as COM and its flown by, thanks to all of you who've made this an easy ride :D Now IS IV has ended I can implement my new Avenger wide competition soon, I hope that you will all enjoy it. Hopefully it will start at the beggining of the year 2004. CM Tatsu was appointed as Storm CMDR. We wish him luck in his new position :) There is still lots to do including loads of competitions aswell as general Task Force, Avenger, Wing and Squadron things, just remember that without participation you can't get medals nor will comps be ran. Avenger Task Force Trivia (November) - Trivia competition for all of the Avenger Task force. Its all automated and the website is here -=Avenger Competitions=- SSD Avenger: COMs Scholar (November) - All you educated ones can win medals for the amount of IWATs you do. Not only that but you get cool titles. IS SR - Most IWATs courses completed in the month of October IS BR - Second Most IWATs courses completed in the month of October. The titles of, Commodores Literati and Commodores Scholar will be given to the winners of the IS SR and IS BR respectively. SSD Avenger: COMs Escort (November) - For all you cockpit junkies, medals are awarded for you flying as much as you can and yet again cool titles are given out so...get flying ;) IS SW - Awarded to the person who fly's the most missions in the month of October. IS BW - Awarded to the person who fly's the second most missions in the month of October. The title of, Commodores Vindicator and Commodores Guardian are given to the winners of the IS SW and IS BW respectively. -=Wing Competitions=- Wing XVIII Wing XVIII Top Gun November - Its simple really you fly (both Single Player and Multiplayer), do IWATS or write fiction. I know what your thinking, its similiar to the BGCOM's Judgement but its not, this is for Squadron Glory. Each pilot does all of the above activities and send they relevant files to myself. I will count up the points and at the end of every month, announce the XVIII: Top Gun, XVIII: Ace and the XVIII: Squadron of the Month. ---- If you get the most points you are - XVIII: Top Gun - this entitiles you to show off to everyone and can also be used for historical reasons. Aswell as this you recieve a IS SW. If you get the second most points you are - XVIII: Ace - this entitles you to show that your the second best pilot in the wing and make sure everyone knows you'll be Top Gun next month. Aswell as this you recieve a IS BW --- And so we come to XVIII: Squadron of the Month (SoTM) - I will count the collective effort of all pilots and bundle it into a squadron package, and so if your squadron receives XVIII: Squadron of the Month (SoTM) you have ultimate bragging rights over all other squadrons, it will also become part of your squadrons history. (Note to Commanders - If your squadron recieves SoTM 5 times in a row you recieve a ISM for this effort but restarts after the 5 months are over) Points Flying - 1 point per mission IWATS - 5 points per course Multi Player Flying - 1 point per match, win or loose (screenshot needed) Fiction - 1-10 points (must be Star Wars/Tie Corps related). IS-SW: Wing XVIII Top Gun. IS-BW: Wing XVIII Top Ace The Big Bad Wing XVIII War - All Wing XVIII Squadrons grouped in two teams: Team Butcher's Rage (Butcher and Rage Squadrons) and Team Hunting Wraith (Hunter and Wraith Squadrons) are to fly TIE-TC 1; XvT-FCHG 1; XWA-TC 1. The Competition is divided into 9 separate divisions. 1. TIE-Fighter SP 2. X-Wing vs. TIE-Fighter SP 3. X-Wing Alliance SP 4. X-Wing vs. TIE-Fighter MP 5. X-Wing Alliance MP 6. Jedi Knight Series MP 7. Galactic Battlegrounds and Force Commander MP. 8. Fiction Event. 9. Graphics Event. Competition judge is: WC/MAJ D.T. Hammer. Single Player Events: The Team which will have the highest average per participant in each division, will win that division. Multi Player Events: The Team, which will gain the most points in each division, will win it. Graphics and Fiction events: The team which member will gain the first place inn each event, will win that event. Awards: for divisions 1 to 5, there will be IS-SW awarded for 1st place and IS-BW for 2nd. In total, 10 medals. For divisions 6 to 9, there will be IS-SR awarded for 1st, and IS-BR for 2nd place. Communicate - I know lots of you go on IRC and other chat programs and are in constant e-mail contact but extended use of the message boards and communications out side of squad level will be great. CMDR's after Imp Storm IV, I'd like most of you to challenge another squad in battle. It can be any kind of challenge and to any squad but we need to start getting recognised around the fleet. Wing Commanders also after Imp Storm IV I want you to challenge wings in more complex multi platform and multi activity competitions. Again I am fully endorsing Wing vs Wing Comps and Squadron vs Squadron Comps, more news later. -=Ending Comments= Activity yet again is very good, although down from the past to weeks its at an acceptable level. I'm very glad to see XVIII taking the iniative and creating the Big Bad XVIII War, which looks to be a great competition. XIX your recruiting skills are great, you've caught up with XVIII in members. As in the orders section lets try and push for 80 members, 2 for both wings this will be a great acheivement for all of us. Remember a few things though, real life always comes first, never push yourself to hard only to find you've forgotten to do things in RL and also communication is the key to success and if we can improve the overall communication of the ship I will be very pleased.
