Multiplayer Gaming In The EH

I was going to do a major feature on this topic, but sadly it turned out to be harder to do than expected. Basically, multiplayer gaming in the EH is in a terrible state at the moment, with few people turning up to the competitions and I have been to a couple XWA competitions that had no judge there to record the results.

This is a shame, as I remember a time when I could go down to the Microsoft Gaming Zone for every Sunday XWA competition, and there would be at least a dozen people there...but now there are barely enough pilots to make one game. I admit that I haven't been attending them myself for many months, it was mainly due to being busy in real-life and with this newsletter, but surely there should still be some people turning up.

I call for everyone to nip down to the MS Zone to look for some games of XWA or XvT, especially when there is a EH competition on (http://www.tiecorps.org/combat/ for details). I myself will be trying to attend the XWA Zone Sunday competition as much as I can, and try to drop in for the Saturday XWA Kampfergemetzel if possible.

Also, go to http://www.battlestats.com to sign up for the Week of War's (WOW) for XvT and XWA. The XvT competition starts on the 15th December until the 22nd, and the XWA competition starts on the 22nd and goes on until the 29th. More details about rules, how to play, and how to report the scores can be found at the website. I will also be printing the results in Battlecry, so you all better make the EH look good. 

Top 5 Cool Things This Month

5. Dum Dums - You may have heard of them...you may not. Either way, you should have a listen to their album "It goes without saying." It's a nice bit of jumpy guitar music, and it's more fun than most of the music that is out right now.

4. U2 - Again, U2 is in the list. I haven't heard much of their stuff lately, but that's just because I know that I'm getting thier album for Christmas and I don't want to get bored of them before I hear it.

3. Multiplayer XWA - I've just got into the spirit of multiplayer gaming again and I seem to be at the MS Zone playing XWA all the time. I'm not a good player, but it is fun and I can't wait for the big Week Of War next week.

2. Drink - Hello, I am Werdna Elbee and I am an Alcoholic. I haven't had a drink for 2 weeks now as I have had no money because of buying Christmas Presents. I will have money next week though, and there are Christmas parties on, so...WAY-HEY!!! (Don't say the word alcoholic in a pub, call them ...the unquenchables)

1. Toy Story 1 & 2 - You got a friend in need! You got a friend indeed!...dum de dum dum, dum a de dum...oh well, I might not be able to remember the words but I do enjoy it so. I highly suggest anyone who is into DVDs that they get the Box Set of both Toy Stories, as the film and the extra features are all top class.

Crap things this month - Multiplayer XWA in the EH, Maths Exams (I have a test in two days, and two big exams in January), and green peas.
