Disciples of Darkness...
As Grand Master of the Brotherhood and Dark Lord of
the Sith, I bid you greeting. This issue of the Dark Voice brings
with it many new changes for the Brotherhood. A new version of the
Dark Side Compendium has been released (at
the same address), and in this section of the Dark Voice, I will
highlight a few of the changes that have been made with the new version.
Chapter 1: Dark Council
The position of Master at Arms has been made third in command of
the Brotherhood due to the recent increase in the importance of
this position.
The Deputy Grand Master now ascends over all three Orders, just
as the Grand Master does. The Grand Master remains the Dark Lord
of the Sith and is granted the title of "Darth." The Deputy
Grand Master is also now considered a Sith Lord and is also granted
the title of "Darth."
Chapter 3: Houses and Clans
This chapter brings with it perhaps the biggest change of all.
The structure of the Clan system has been remade. Now, all Clans
consist of three Houses -- one House for each of the three Dark
Jedi Orders. In other words, Houses are now Order-specific. Each
Clan will choose a system, and its three Houses will each choose
a homeworld from that system.
The minimum rank of Consuls has been changed to Battlemaster or
Archpriest, and the minimum rank of Proconsuls has been changed
to Warrior or Priest.
All awards (except the silver sash) now have representative graphics.
The Novas and Legion of the Scholar awards have been added to reward
Vendetta participation and trivia prizes.
This is a totally new section of the Dark Side Compendium. It explains,
in brief, how Lightsabers are made. It also gives guidelines for
the wielding of Lightsabers for Brotherhood members. In summary:
Dark Jedi Knight - May construct, carry, and wield a Lightsaber.
Dark Side Adept - May construct, carry, and wield a modified
Lightsaber.
Dark Jedi Master - May construct, carry, and wield a double-bladed
Lightsaber ("Lightstaff").
Chapter 12: Heraldry of the Brotherhood
New graphics have been made for Heraldic templates.
Chapter 15: Dark Hall on Eos
A new Dark Hall is under construction, and as of the release of this
Dark Voice, it has not been completed.
Chapter 16: The Dark Side
A brief history of the Star Chamber has been added.
Chapter 17: A History of the Brotherhood
This is a new section of the Dark Side Compendium which entails the
birth of the Brotherhood and its alliance with the Emperor's Hammer
Strike Fleet. It also gives a history of the Grand Masters and the
accomplishments made within the Brotherhood during their tenures.
