A New Master of the Dark Side (Article by Grand Master Khyron)
After serving the Shadow Academy on Aurora Prime for over half a year, the Headmaster of the Shadow Academy, Wrath, has been elevated to the rank of Dark Jedi Master. The Shadow Academy, located on Aurora Prime, is the primary training facility for new members of the Brotherhood of the Dark Jedi. At the Shadow Academy, new Apprentices will be trained by more powerful Dark Jedi in the ways of the Force as they begin their journey toward the Dark Side. Update from the Chancellor (Article by Chancellor Dev)
The Office of the Chancellor has been overhauled to be more informative and provide links to important DB events. It can be accessed at www.city-net.com/~dev/dboffice. The Rite of Supremacy is currently in progress. The Sith single player mission is out for download currently, as is the Krath poem and story competition, as well as the Obelisk level design competition. All of this is due February 1, 1999. Apply for Sith High Warrior (Article by Grand Master Khyron )
As entailed in the Dark Voice, Sith High Warrior Compton has resigned from the office of Sith High Warrior to take on his new position as Executive Officer of the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet. The position of Dark Lord of the Sith is always held by the Grand Master of the Dark Brotherhood. Since his duties as Grand Master take much of the Dark Lord's time, he is greatly assisted by the Sith High Warrior. To apply for the position of Sith High Warrior, you must meet the following guidelines:
     * Be able to review TIE and XvT battles submitted by members to ensure that they meet the guidelines.
     * Be able to organize the Sith aspects of each Brotherhood Vendetta, under the advice of the Chancellor.
     * Be able to remain in contact with the various Sith Squadrons of the Brotherhood.

February 22, 1999 - 1478 Members!

Grand Master Khyron and Deputy Grand Master Faethor resign from the Dark Council (Article by Grand Master Stryker)
There are those who drift through life with no plan or ambition, as a floating leaf drifts downstream. Imprisoned by the current; victim to any stray eddy; ultimate fate pre-ordained by what lies downstream. And there are those who make their own fate, seizing control of their own destiny. GM Khyron and DGM Faethor have chosen to seize their destinies along other paths, not bound by any current, but driven by force of will. I wish them well, and fully expect success in their chosen ventures. Grand Master Emeritus, High Admiral Khyron's resignation letter may be read, for a time, at the Emperor's Hammer New Events/Spotlights and perhaps in the Fleet Commander's Memorandum.

New Grand Master Appointed (Article by Grand Master Stryker)
On the recommendation of Grand Master Emeritus, High Admiral Khyron, and with the approval of Grand Admiral Ronin and Sector Admiral Compton, Admiral Stryker has been appointed Grand Master of the Dark Brotherhood. Stryker has served as Lord Chamberlain for the past six months, and had previously served as Deputy Grand Master for a period of four months. Admiral Stryker has served the TIE Corps as a Flight Member, Squadron Commander, Wing Commander (twice), Commodore (twice), and Battle Group Commander. A few words from the new Grand Master:

"Brevity is said to be the soul of wit, so I'll make this brief.

"The Brotherhood stands at a crossroads. We can seize the moment, and increase in stature, or we can stumble and fall. We are all a part of something greater than ourselves, and we stand on the shoulders of those who came before -- those who brought us to our current splendor.

"We now stand challenged to increase that splendor, or to watch it fade and die. I choose greatness over mediocrity, and I see plenty of talent and drive in this Dark Brotherhood to overcome the challenges we face. You are the strength of the Brotherhood, and together we will crush our enemies and rejoice in the lamentation of their comrades.

"I will leave you with a phrase in an ancient tongue that describes our shared destiny. Aut vincere, aut mori. Either to conquer, or to die."

New Dark Council Position -- Lord Archon (LAR) (Article by Grand Master Stryker)
With the ascension of Lord Stryker to the Iron Throne on Eos, the Dark Council position of Lord Chamberlain is annulled. The new advisory position of Lord Archon is hereby created, and filled by Grand Master Emeritus, High Admiral Khyron, who has graciously consented to remain on the Dark Council in an advisory capacity.

Apply for Deputy Grand Master (Article by Grand Master Stryker)
The Deputy Grand Master is, for all intents and purposes, Second in Command of the Dark Brotherhood. He can act as head of the Dark Brotherhood in the Grand Master's absence during critical events. The DGM fills in for the Grand Master, answering questions and doing whatever duties that the Grand Master sees fit. To apply for the position of Deputy Grand Master, you must meet the following guidelines:
     * Be currently excelling in a position of leadership within the Dark Brotherhood.
     * Possess a compelling history of consistent activity within the Dark Brotherhood, the Emperor's Hammer, or any of its sub-groups.
     * Be able to maintain cordial relationships with superiors, peers, and members of the Dark Brotherhood.
I anticipate that the new DGM will be play a key role in maintaining and improving activity within the Dark Brotherhood. If you think you're up to the task, email your applications to GM Stryker. Be forewarned that I expect to receive many highly qualified applicants for this position, as well as for the position of SHW, so don't be too disappointed if someone else is chosen. ;-)

* My advisors and I are still evaluating applications for DGM and SHW. We've had some excellent candidates apply for these positions, and I anticipate making a decision on both positions within the week.

I have received the request for the merging of Clans Aquillas and Arcona from Lord Khyron ... we will be working on that issue this week.
* I have received the request for the clanning of House Naga Sadow. We will be working on that issue as well. There's more. :-) But these issues are at the top of my list right now.

* The request to merge Aquillas and Arcona has been withdrawn.
* The Clanning of House Arcona has been approved.
* SBM Menacer is now the Quaestor of Acclivis Draco.
* SBL Hades is once again the Proconsul of Clan Satal Keto.
* CoG Dreadnaught has been badly injured in an automobile accident. OHC Imp22 will serve as acting CoG, assisted by Dreadnaught's brother Edge, until Dreadnaught is ready to return to duty.
* SBL Hades is once again the Proconsul of Clan Satal Keto.
* I and some of my advisors have begun work on updating the Dark Side Compendium. This will take a few weeks, most likely.
* Priorities in the coming week are to choose an SHW and evaluate the request for the clanning of House Naga Sadow.
* CHAN and ARC were merged on 3 Oct 98 when Dev became the new CHAN. The position of Archon was eliminated and the Chancellor was given the responsibility of overseeing Competitions as well as handling the Medal Board. Henceforth, the DGM will manage Brotherhood Vendettas, and the CHAN will manage the Medal Board.

* As of today, I'm officially the new DGM. Thanks to everyone who congratulated me, and to Lord Stryker for choosing me. I'll still be running competitions.
* Arcona vs CSK clan feud. The current score is 6-5, with Arcona in the lead. Remaining categories are obelisk battle story and krath story. We expect to have things wrapped up by Monday at the latest.
* I'm working on updating my office to the DGM Office, which will contain the Clans and Houses database, the news about the latest competitions, and some other stuff.
* Congratulations to the newest DB Clan, Arcona, whose clanning was approved recently.

           As always, there was a little struggle between

           and had a lot of people, but they were still no
           match for the might of the Grand Master's Royal
           Guard.

* CoG Dreadnaught has returned to duty, following his recovery from the accident.

* The clanning of House Naga Sadow has been approved. Master Thedek is working with QUA Tron to facilitate the formation of Clan Naga Sadow.
* My advisors and I are presently reviewing the finalists for Sith High Warrior.
* The Run-On is proceeding well. However, I would caution you to treat one another with respect. In particular, one of the Run-on participants has taken liberties with the character of Krath High Priest Shaitan`. Tsk, tsk. I would advise against that. ;-)

Greetings, fellow Dark Jedi!
     I am Vice Admiral Undo, Commodore of SSD Avenger, the Flagship of the Dark Brotherhood. I believe I can say that a better part of you has heard about SSD Avenger, the ship that has won three competitions with major Fleet ships in a row, the defenders being SSSD Sovereign, ISD Intrepid and ISD Colossus.
     SSD Avenger also serves as the mother ship for the famous Tau Squadron - the 12 best pilots in the known Universe, forming the squadron that protects the Grand Master himself and hasn't known a single defeat during it's existence.
     As a whole, SSD Avenger has 13 squadrons, among them the Tau Squadron and the Stalker Squadron, soon to be Envoy Squadron. In recent Fleetwide competitions most of the TOP TEN placings belonged to SSD Avenger pilots, most of the rest to former SSD Avenger pilots :)
     Now SSD Avenger is giving you a change to prove yourself to be worthy of a position aboard the ship, and if you are really good, then even among the Tau pilots. I am sure there are members in the Sith order willing to fly for the Empire, feeling a strong urge to serve It well and above all - to fry rebels in panloads! Now it is time for you to enjoy the breathtaking sight of a fireball of a rebel craft expanding between the stars waiting to be set into the Ultimate Order - the Empire.      I have received many Sith High Warrior applications from highly qualified members of the Brotherhood, most of whom are -- leaders of Houses and Clans, and Fleet Command officers and Attachés. As with those who applied for Deputy Grand Master, I offer each of you my heart-felt thanks for giving me such a highly qualified pool of applicants to choose from -- a veritable embarrassment of riches.
     It has been a difficult decision-making process, but I have finally reached a decision. FA Bull is the new Sith High Warrior! He has the leadership experience required to energize the Order of the Sith and to successfully incorporate X-Wing Alliance into the Brotherhood. I expect that he will serve admirably as SHW. :-)

* Attention, Clan and House leaders ... as you know, leadership position appointments require the approval of the GM. Please e-mail the GM, DGM, and MAA for all CON, PCON, QUA, and AED recommendations. :-)
* I have approved the DGM's recommendation of P:CHAN Howlader for CHAN. Please congratulate Howlader on his appointment to the post of Chancellor of the Brotherhood and his promotion to Dark Side Adept. :-) Here are the duties of the Chancellor:

CHANCELLOR (CHAN): "This member serves to fulfill any duty not vested in the other members. Also, the CHAN is personally in charge of the Dark Hall in the absence of the Grand Master. He is the only Council member admitted to the GM's chambers without escort, and upon the death or resignation of the GM, he takes possession of all the GM's papers and memoranda. The CHAN is charged with preserving the records of DB medals and honors and insuring that honors are worn only by those who rightly hold them. Additionally, the CHAN is responsible for testing the knowledge of the Brotherhood's warriors through trivia."

Basic Duties: The Chancellor is responsible for keeping a record of all DB medals awarded. Records must be kept of the awardee, the awarder, the date awarded, and the reason awarded. In addition, the CHAN must often check to make sure all ranks and ID lines are accurate on the medal board. An HTML version of the medal board must be available at all times.

* We've had some great ideas for the GJW and future Vendetta events during the past week. There are some logistical issues to work out, so I'm not sure how much of this we'll be able to implement during this GJW, but it should be good. :-)
* There have been a couple of queries recently from Clan/House leaders who have large numbers of one particular Order in their House, much more than than the 12 required for a squadron/phyle/brigade. One solution to this problem is to form an auxiliary House Unit. From the Dark Side Compendium:

Additional (Optional) House Unit
Each House is granted permission to create a unit within the House for whatever purpose the Consul and Quaestor see fit. This unit may consist of one leader and as many members as seen fit. The position created to serve as the leader of the unit will serve as one of the House's 3 allowed auxiliary positions. Members may belong to both this unit and a battle-team if desired. The entire plan for the unit must be approved by the Grand Master before it is activated (i.e. name, titles of positions, purpose of the unit, etc.).

* The Recon Office (AD Telf) has put together a new SHIPLIST.TXT file for X-Wing Alliance that allows the player to fly virtually any ship. The file is currently available on the Emperor's Hammer New Events page (http://www.emperorshammer.org/index1.htm). Clan Consuls and Independent House Quaestors ... as you know, former Grand Master Khyron instituted a policy requiring weekly reports from you, both so that he could keep a finger on the pulse of your Clans and Houses, and so that he would know who is ripe for promotion. I have been asked about this a few times since I became Grand Master, but have frankly been sufficiently busy that I haven't had time to think about it ... until now. It is a good policy, and I will continue it. My thanks to those of you who have been sending me reports. For the rest of you ... it's time to ink your quill and send in those reports! ;-)
3. Clan and House leaders ... I would like you to keenly observe this Great Jedi War. There have been some very interesting discussions among the Dark Council (primarily among GM, DGM, KHP, OHW, and SHW) about the scope and content of the GJW and Vendetta events in general. Some excellent ideas for activities, some of which are sufficiently difficult to implement that we may never see them. However, I want to know what you and your members think of this
GJW, and how you think it could be improved. Please collect the thoughts of your members throughout the GJW, condense them into rational suggestions, and send them to me. Thanks! :-)
4. Don't forget the GJW XvT event today! No GJW points are at stake, but the winner's Clan will get written into the storyline for the GJW. ;-)

April 24, 1999 - 1497 Members!

1. Clan/Independent House Weekly Reports: As of Thursday evening, I've only received two reports (House Ektrosis and Clan Arcona). Don't forget to get those reports in for the week of 17 April to 24 April. :-)
2. Submissions for the Dark Voice Newsletter: As of Thursday evening, I've only received one submission for the newsletter. Be advised that I will begin assembling the newsletter next week. If it has only one submission, so be it ... it will be published with a single submission.
3. Independent House Ektrosis: Quaestor Jarla Valyrom (jvalyor-@hotmail.com) reports a strong Krath membership in her House, but she could use a stronger Sith presence, and probably Obelisk too. If you're interested in an opportunity to excel, you might want to get in touch with Jarla.
4. IRC Channel #DB: It has come to my attention that DB members are often in ##Emperor's_Hammer, but not simultaneously in #DB. Now I know it may be difficult to keep track of conversations in more than one channel, but it would also be helpful to have as many knowledgeable DB members in #DB as possible, to answer questions from visitors and new members. So I encourage those of you who spend a lot of time on IRC to keep a window open on #DB while you're online. Thanks. :-)
5. Additional House Units: I have received several questions regarding the DSC rule that each Order in a House will have a single 12-member Battle- team. Most often the request has been couched in terms of allowing additional battle-teams in which to place House members who are not in the original battle-team. My answer has been that Quaestors can request an Additional House Unit to serve this purpose.
     Some of you haven't liked that answer ... but your responses haven't been detailed enough for me to truly understand why. Part of it may be that some of your Houses are large enough to "birth" new Houses.
     If your House is not larger than the 40-member size allowed by the DSC, then 3 battle-teams will effectively fill your House. If one Order is entirely missing from your House, you may need an Additional House Unit for those members who aren't in the original battle-team. But if you have 50 or more members in your House, then you may wish to think about forming a new House within your Clan ... you'll need a minimum of 15 members to form a new House.

It is with great honor that I make the following awards to Dark Council members who have performed their duties with honor, pride, and distinction over the last few months. For a member of the Dark Council, awards are often few in number, but deserved all the more. Having said that, the following individuals are hereby recognized with the following awards.
     Grand Master Stryker... For your careful and diligent service to the Brotherhood in the office of Grand Master, for your sage advice and guidance, and for the leadership you have provided to the Dark Jedi of the Emperor's Hammer, you are awarded the Golden Lightsaber. This is by far the highest distinction that can be given. Wield it proudly.
     Master Thedek... Your service as Master at Arms to the last--what, 3?--Grand Masters has added a level of efficiency to the Dark Brotherhood that is not seen in any other subgroup in the Hammer, nor in any other club on the Internet. You have made the roll of Dark Jedi more than a "roster," but a working database of information that can be quickly and easily searched and modified. Your contributions to the Brotherhood have made you the greatest Master at Arms that we have seen yet. For this, you are hereby elevated to the rank of Dark Jedi Primarch. You are one of only two Primarchs in the Brotherhood. It is a great honor to have achieved this rank.      Master Dev... You have been a great asset to Grand Master Stryker and already to myself. You are hereby awarded the Emerald Dagger.

    1. As many of you know by now, Clan Scholae Palatinae is being merged into Clan Arcona.  Houses Dorimad Sol and Acclivis Draco will now be a part of Clan Arcona, while House Caliburnus is being given a shot at being an Independent House if enough interest is shown.  The reason behind this merger is that CSP's active membership has DRASTICALLY dropped in recent times, and we feel this is the best move to salvage the Houses of the Clan.
    2. I've finished a few sections of the new Dark Side Compendium.  I am considering releasing it by Chapter, instead of all at once, so that the membership can get to the new information faster.  More information to come...

The Grand Master has decided to make a change with the current leadership of the Brotherhood's Shadow Academy, the training grounds of the Dark Jedi. The new Headmaster of the Shadow Academy will be Dark Side Adept Kumba. Many changes in the Shadow Academy can be expected over the course of the next few weeks.

New Obelisk High Commander Appointed (Article by GM Khyron)
Congratulations to Warlord Dreadnaught, who has been appointed as the new High Commander of the Obelisk Order. Dreadnaught has formerly served the position as Commander of the Guard, which is the leader of the Grand Master's Royal Guard. This means that a new Commander of the Guard is being saught. Applications should be sent to GM Khyron, and the following requirements must be met:
1. Must be active in the DF2: Jedi Knight "Community."
2. Must be an above-average JK player.
3. Must be able to organize competitions against Light Jedi groups.

First Nine DB Battles Converted to XWA Format (Article by GM Khyron)
Thanks to the hard work and efforts of Sith Battlelord Donitz, the first 9 DB TIE Fighter battles have been converted to X-wing Alliance Skirmish format. These files will be forwarded to the Emperor's Hammer Tactical Officer and will be made available through the EH Mission Compendium. One of the battles which has been converted, DB Battle 4, is also included in the Shadow Academy course requirements for members of the Sith who own XWA.

1. I would first like to thank everyone who congratulated me on my promotion and appointment to HeadMaster of the SA and as a Dark Side Adept to the DC.
2. The Shadow Academy has a new home! Thanks to OBL Mav, he was kind enough to donate some webspace and as such, the SA is located at http://www.jsspace.com/sa/sa1.php3The SA currently only works with 4.0+ browsers, but I will remedy the 3.0
browser page later today.
3. Things have changed in the Academy since my promotion to HM. One such change being the way one goes thru the SA. The new Courses are as follows:
Sith:
     Complete a Dark Jedi Character Profile Sheet
     Pass the Sith Order Quiz
     Fly DB Battle #4 for TF, or SA Battle for XvT
     Take the DSC Final Exam
Krath:
     Complete a Dark Jedi Character Profile Sheet
     Pass the Krath Order Quiz
     Write one story OR poem for the Dark Voice
     Take the DSC Final Exam
Obelisk:
     Complete a Dark Jedi Character Profile Sheet
     Pass the Obelisk Order Quiz

1) All Royal Guard members who wish to compete in a battle against light jedi are to send me a name and e-mail address of a light jedi clan that needs to be purged, so that we can challenge them.
2) I need an opinion from all the Jedi Knight players reguarding "Nature of the Dark Side". Would you like to see blood and severed limbs added into the Total Conversion? Or would rather we neglect to include them? The disadvantage about blood is that it makes the game lose touch with the star wars universe since there is no blood in the star wars universe.
3) The GMRG page needs a new look, so if any of you are talented with html, send me a sample of what you would have the page to look like and then you might be the one who gets to design the new GMRG page!

Clan Summits Mailing List Created (Article by GM Khyron)
A new egroups mailing list has been created by Grand Master Khyron to serve as a discussion forum for members of all of the Brotherhood Clan Summits. Consuls, Proconsuls, Quaestors, and Aediles comprise this mailing list. It is my hope that this mailing list will increase communication between the Grand Master and the leaders of the Dark Jedi Houses and Clans. Also, I have requested weekly reports from each Clan and Independent House to be sent to the Grand Master so that each Clan's progress can be monitored.

Additional Great Jedi War Event (Article by GM Khyron)
I have added an additional event to the Great Jedi War called the "Grand Master's Specialty." Members of any Order can participate in this event, and it's a quick way for your Clan (or Independent House) to pick up 3 points. Here are the rules for this event:
     * You are to create a graphic to be used as the cover art for the next Dark Voice. There is no particular subject matter, but it should be appropriate for use as DV cover art.
     * The graphic should have no text on it.
     * The graphic should be submitted directly to GM Khyron and DGM Dev (you may CC your Consul and Quaestor on the email if you wish).
     * All submissions are due midnight July 11 (yes, this is a short contest).
     * 3 points will be awarded to the Clan with the winning submission.

1. Well, this is the first week of the new SA Courses, and it has been quite productive. I recieved large amounts of Phase submissions from various clans, most prominently, Phase 1, which shows that many Apprentices are taking the time to go thru the SA.
2. I would like to announce, that for his hard work in being Magistrate, GRD Zsinj is hereby Promoted to Jedi Hunter!, Congratulations.
3. JH Zsinj is currently trying to work on a Viewer for JK, that will display the various statistics of JKS Files for Phase 3 of the SA, but he currently has trouble finding the Hex values that determine if the player is Light sided, or Dark Sided. If anyone knows any information about the makeup of JKS Files (the Save files), and would be willing to help Zsinj, it would be most appreciated.

New Commander of the Guard Appointed (Article by GM Khyron)
Congratulations to Battlelord Z'lar Kahn who has been appointed as the new Commander of the Guard. It is my hope that he will be able to turn the Grand Master's Royal Guard (GMRG) into an elite unit of JK players who represent the Brotherhood in official combat with other clubs. The GMRG never has become what it was meant to be, despite the efforts of several Commanders of the Guard before him, so his task is a formidable one.

New Brotherhood Herald Appointed (Article by GM Khyron)
After weeks of consideration, I've decided to reinstate Dark Jedi Master Faethor to his position as Brotherhood Herald, a position which he resigned several months ago to take up the position of Deputy Grand Master (which he also resigned at the same time I resigned from my first term as Grand Master). Master Faethor has already provided an exceptional number of graphics for the new Dark Side Compendium, including new 3D characters, medallions, awards, and diagrams, and much of his work can be seen throughout the Brotherhood homepage. It is certainly an honor and a great advantage to have him back on the Council.

Grand Master Plans One-Week Sabbatical (Article by GM Khyron)
Grand Master Khyron will be meeting on sabbatical from July 14 until July 21. He will be traveling beyond EH territories to observe potential for Brotherhood conquest. In his absence, Deputy Grand Master Dev will act with authority of the Grand Master in handling the day-to-day operations of the Brotherhood.

The newest version of the Dark Side Compendium is almost completed. Only a few sections of the Compendium remain to be updated. Some of the updates that can be expected are: a new section on lightsabers, application of the title "Darth" in the Brotherhood, Dark Jedi Force Powers explained, new graphics for some Awards, new rank Medallions, explanation of the new Clan and House system, and many more updates.

1) I've been discussing the future of the Guard with the Grand Master, and the conclusion is that there must be a big change. Not in the internal organization, but in the way it interacts with the EH universe. Unfortunately, I will have to work on the roster and website next week, but from there on I will start contacting other SW related groups and organizing competitions against them.
2) I will create a weekly tournament against the RS, similar to the Melee Nights of the TC.
3) The circles will be restored. Each Gladiator will have to accept INIs as trainees, and help then develop their JK skills.
4) To prevent inactivity between comps, I'll create a ladder. Guards will challenge each other, and this will be a good chance to advance in rank.

After an extremely long period of updating, I have released version 4.0 of the Dark Side Compendium. Many of the updates to the DSC include: the title of Darth, Lightsabers and guidelines for constructing and wielding them in the Brotherhood, an added history of the Brotherhood, MANY new graphics, and much more. Please become familiar with the Compendium as the information it contains is the backbone of the Brotherhood.
     A special thanks to Faethor, Herald of the Brotherhood, who has provided virtually every graphic in the Dark Side Compendium. His artwork has given life to this "ancient text." Faethor, by the way, has been promoted to the rank of Dark Jedi Primarch for his contributions to the Brotherhood over the last year. Thanks to everyone else who also helped, including Voranyen, D'hak, and Donitz.

Three Special Awards (Article by GM Khyron)
HRLD Faethor has spent a measureless amount of time the last year or so providing graphics for the Brotherhood. Not only has he provided MANY of them, but his work is probably the best I've seen yet. His latest project has been redoing every single graphic in the DSC and creating many, many new ones. For his contributions to the Brotherhood,I have decided to elevate him to the third Primarch rank. Congratulations, Faethor, and I look forward to you sharing your talents for a long time to come.
     Along these same lines, DGM Dev has been perhaps the strongest DGM I have come across yet (except me..hehehe). I alone have worked with at least 4 different DGM's and have been one myself. I know what a demanding job it can be. It requires not only intelligence, but initiative. It's good to know that I can leave for things such as vacations and have the Brotherhood left in capable hands that will continue work and make wise decisions in my absence. Upon seeing how well DGM Dev has performed his job, I have decided to elevate him to the fourth and final rank of Primarch.
     The third and final award I have to make today is to Adept Kumba, Headmaster of the Shadow Academy. He has made the SA a great institution within the Brotherhood. He has brought to it a new level of order and efficiency that it has not seen since its founding years ago. For his work, I hereby award him the Diamond Sword, the mark of a fearless leader and the third highest award a Dark Jedi can receive.

2) I am starting an Obelisk competition to see who is the best of the Obelisk. To enter the tournament, sign up on the obelisk home page or e-mail myself at Dreadnaught9@Hotmail.com You will have one week (until next Saturday) to sign up for the tournament. Once the week is up, a ladder will be formed, and the competition will begin. I'd like to wrap up the competiton in approximatly three weeks total.
The winner will recieve a gold-trimmed cloak and will hold the cloak until the next tournament, when he will have to defend his rite to keep the cloak.
[note from GM: This "gold-trimmed cloak" thing has to be changed since that's the uniform of the GM! :)]

1. I almost have finished the new DSC Final Exam v3.00, I just have to finishing writing up the php3 mailing script that does the nice job of mailing me the results. Expect to have it out by later today.
2. There are no graduates for this week, due to my intensive scouring of the DSC, and the HTML job of writing the new Final (it's 66kbytes, big for a single page ). I'll try to get every one of those SA Mails in my inbox graded today, so sorry for the week delay you all have had.
3. After reading the manual to the php3 scripting language some, I discovered a really neat trick with image maipulation, and as such, and introduced a nice, new aspect to the the Shadow Academy - personalized Graduation certificates. Altho they will look 20th centuryish, I hope they will eventually get replaced by a more Star Wars'ish version, so if anyone is skilled in graphics and has free time on their hands, I could use your help. I will release the Address for the Certificates in the e-mails that go out with the graduation announcements, as we don't need people giving them selves certificates if they are not deserved...4. I hope to learn more php3 scripting, and hope to use it to add newer features to the Shadow Academy that will make it easier for you to go thru the SA, and for me to Grade your material (with help from my Magistrate), so look out for some new features within several weeks.

1)The flow of GoAs has finally subsided... I should be able to catch up on the 20-30 or so that have accumulated thusfar in my mailbox... The GoAs are not hard to complete, I have just had a very busy last couple of weeks doing real paid graphics work, and unfortunately that leaves me with little personal graphics time.
2)Dark Brotherhood: The Quest is on it's way... I've been working on it when I don't have net or computer access and am about 3 pages into it... it looks fantastic thusfar... keep watching for more updates on it.
3) A second URL for the Herald site is available... herald.2ndfloorcomputers.com is operational now.
4) The Artist's group is growing well, but we are still waiting on DGM Dev to do up a msg board for us, so until that gets done, all other activities are on hold... keep watching for more updates on that... and get me your pictures for the gallery!

1) Nothing new in the SA thats real important, tho my Magistrate JH Zsinj has completed some new Order quizzes to replace the 2:00am ones I made up...I'll try to HTML'ize and setup php3 mailing scripts for them later this weekend/early next week.
2) I made a post on the message board stating the newer policy I setup to save me time. I used to e-mail back everyone who sent in an invalid ID line and all. I won't any more..if your an APP and you submit Phase 2, it'll be deleted, as well if you submit something with an invalid ID Line (I'll be lenient with the Phase 1 components)
