The Imperial Guard was first established by Lord Khyron as the Grand Master's Royal Guard, for the purpose of protecting the reigning Dark Lord of the Sith and for hunting down and exterminating the Jedi Knights. Led by the Commander of the Guard, these elite Knights hunt other Light and Dark Jedi who pose a threat to the Iron Throne and the Brotherhood.

The Imperial Guard is currently in a state of dissolution. When the Dark Lord of the Sith sees fit to reform the Guard, word of his intention will spread throughout the Dark Brotherhood from the Iron Throne on Eos.

Until then the Commander of Guard serves as advisor to the Grand Master and the rest of the Dark Council.
